Well...Miranda would look like Miss Strahovski in real life.

Still surprised she's doing Dexter though. Heavy risk. Friends told me horror stories about working on the last season.

She said she was a killer like Dexter. If I take what she said at face value I can imagine she has a pretty grim fate ahead of her. She wasn't very forthcoming with information though.

Proud of her nerve though.

PS: That picture in the top comment the Flemm posted. Why is "Mona Lisa Smile" in the name of the picture. I don't get it.

Because it's a barely discernable smile on a mostly impassive face, with perhaps inflexions of other emotions, creating an overall impression of mystery and/or ambiguity. Like the Mona Lisa. Something like that.

She would. She's Yvonne in Pixels, only with lighter skin (I nickname her skin "Snow White" Skin), and with Dark-Brown Hair and a different Shade of Blue for her Eyes.

It's like creating a 2D Character to look like the Voice Actor/Actress. This happens all the time. I can't really think of specific Characters.

It's like out of ALL of the Characters in Mass Effect. BioWare put more Effort in Miri's look. She looks like the VA more than any other Character. I mean, other characters don't even look like the VA, because they were modeled after other people. For Example, Shepard, and Liara.

Shepard's face was modeled after Mark Vanderloo, and I'm not sure about Liara. I think she had different models throught the Trilogy, right?

Thanks for the support. It' not that bad: At least I have a role model to improve on^^

Regarding Dexter: She is clearly making a right move imo. She needs to get back on some famous stage to stay somehow relevant. It's been a long time since Chuck ended.

Having said all of the above, I think this particular expression could really go either way, towards happiness or sadness.

Of course, Shepard is on the brink of life or death, so that makes sense.

It reminds me of this (which it may possibly have inspired?):

Here also, she could be about to smile or about to cry. Same type of ambiguous expression.

It won't go well if it ends up like last season.

The show should have ended years ago.

Like after John Lithgow.

It's just ridiculous now.

If Yvonne dies, it will be something else to add to the list of things i hate
If she survives, maybe i'll give another shot

From what heard about Dexter, I think Yvonne is a poor attempt at reviving the series a bit and killing her off like one out of a million won't help.

I don't like Dexter either but for reasons other than sex and violence.

I'm a few years younger than Miss Strahovski, but I can bet you than in ten years I'll have more consistent chances for work than she will.

From what what I've been led to understand she's rather intelligent, which is great, but it isn't marketable. Once she hits forty her chances of finding work go down the toilet. She's lovely but the cut off in Hollywood is that age. Granted, things could go very well for her but I don't see her becoming the next Jennifer Aniston.

Best case scenario she'll remain in independant films with the occasional A list one. She'll continue to do voice work and such.

Great acting is no longer appreciated. Even Robert De Niro is having issues from what my sources tell me.

Think about that.

God, to think i'm headed right in the middle of this industry. Is an actor like De niro really having issues. That is quite surprising.
I don't really know much about Strahovski  but i really hope the best for her.
There is hope for all of us

The issue I see is that everytime her name comes up she's half dressed. While I can appreciate an actress for being so open about her body it's a ****ty loop to get caught in.

I'd imagine she'll be wearing less than she has before in Dexter. She may even end up like Lithgow and be completely nude.

But that ISN'T a good thing. Once you're known for something in the industry it sticks to you. The last thing she needs is to known as "that naked hot chick in Dexter".

Still proud of her nerve though.

My cousin is a cinematographer in Hollywood. She's been at it a few years and I was actually talking to her about this issue. She has a similar viewpoint though she's a bit more optimistic than you are. Yvonne already has a dedicated following and she is known for her rather excellent acting talents by several in the industry. But her best hope is to stick with TV work imo. I don't know if she'll go the nude route. Part of me (south of the belt buckle) wants to see it, but another part of me doesn't want to. In America, there is hardly such a thing as tasteful nudity. You're right she'd just come to be known as the hot naked blonde chick on Dexter. And she's jumping ship to Dexter in a vain attempt on those producers part to breathe new life into the series, even though the next season (8) after this is supposed to be the last.

Besides she's already done full nudity, just look at the Sobe ad. That's what I like. More elegant and tasteful, and I now have a passionate addiction to the Mango Mandarin Coconut Water.

And looking back at Chuck; I love that show, it's probably been my favorite of my life thus far, but now I really can't think of an episode where Yvonne ISN'T in her underwear.

And a good thing about Yvonne, her ranking in Maxim Hot 100 rises in rank and prestige every year!

The Jackmancers have a Paragon interrupt that results in them kissing jack. Now why couldn't we have something like that for Miranda? Oh yeah, BioWare mixed it all up and gave the "Kiss" the Death Scenario!" <_<

Well you technically got kissed on the cheek when you continue the relationship.

I haven't seen the video of her dying and I don't ever plan on watching it. Ever.

I know I know, and I liked the peck. But I would've wanted this as well:

Shepard: Be careful.

Miranda: No Promises

*Miranda starts walking away*

*Paragon Interrupt*

Shepard: Wait a minute. *Gently holding Miranda's arm to stop her*

*Miranda turns towards him*

Shepard: You were the only  person in my mind when I was locked up. I missed you. And you feel the same way about me. We haven't seen each other for 6 long months. I think we both owe each other this much.

*Shepards gently pulls Miranda forward, and they kiss, slowly and passionately*

PS: I saw the Romance Death Scene on YouTube. It traumatized me to Tears all night, and I think the next day as well. And this was before it was my turn to hit Sacntuary. I do NOT want to see ANY OTHER Video involving Miri's Death. ONE WAS ENOUGH!

I did that through my renegade playthrough and my god I will never do that agin! I was in tears and I turned off my xbox for a week!

I'll let you in on a secret. She was wearing pads in that ad. Americans don't like nudity so she would put something over her groin and her breasts.

A covered breast is passable on American Television. An exposed breast is not.

The pubic region isn't even open for debate.

But Showtime doesn't have those restrictions, which is what I'm saying. I remember when people got antsy when sex was introduced in Dexter the first time and that was laughable.

I know people who work on Dexter, I could have in fact, had a tried but it doesn't warrent any interest from me. The show has been having issues ever since Lithgow killed Rita. Why? Because the show is a farce.

She's playing a killer you know. She said this herself, but that isn't public knowledge yet so be quiet.

Worst case scenario she'll be naked in an attempt to boost ratings and I'll here about from the buzz feeds is about how great she looks without clothes on.

I don't think I buy her as a killer either. In fact I'm chucling at the idea right now. She's there to try and boost ratings.

It's a testament to how well acted it is though. If it can evoke those kinds of reactions from people, it only further endears me to Miranda's character and Yvonne as an actress.

Miranda is Yvonne and Yvonne is Miranda. Yvonne's acting as Miri is SO Amazing, that you forget that Miri is character who was Voiced By and Modeled After an Actress. Incredibly "Believable." You just see a Beautiful Woman made out of Pixels doing these things so perfectly as if you are interacting with someone in Real Life.

Miss Strahovski plays a character.

Making associations can make things very difficult, which is you should try very hard to differentiate between the two.

I suppose I'm just used to horror stories though.

Oh yeah, I definitely know how antsy Americans get, especially here in the midwest.

As for Dexter, it was good up until the end of Season 3. I didn't have showtime during season 4, and from what I heard, 4, 5, and 6 weren't worth watching or paying for. I'll watch season 7 just to see Yvonne and I am excited to see her take the next step in her career, but I'm not holding out high expectations. I know she'll do an amazing job regardless, but the writers are just trying to keep Dexter relevent, and she's just a secondary character that gets into a love affair, then end up being revealed as a psycho, but they have to kill her off so Dexter and Debra can get together in the end. It's almost predictable.

And Yvonne isn't very bankable. Outside of Chuck, which barely had enough ratings to scrape by with fan intervention for 5 seasons, what is she known for? No one in the industry that's making the important calls will even know what Mass Effect is, and even if they did, video games have a tendency to be looked down upon by the film and tv industry, and the general public as well. Then there was Killer Elite, but that was a forgettable Jason Statham action movie (I thought it was decent, but that's just general opinion), and she was in the film for about 10 minutes and her character really added nothing to the plot. And now a recurring guest role on Dexter. Dexter is probably going to be the highest profile thing she's done, but since Dexter's on the downhill slide, she'll just be seen as another pretty face on the show when all is said and done.

And you're right as great an actress as she is, acting doesn't count for **** in the acting business anymore. What next, musicians who can play actual music on an instrument will no longer be relevant to a pretty singer who knows how to dance while having a computer make most of the sound for them? Or a video game that takes away all player choice and agency in a franchise renowned for its achievements in player choice and agency?

I don't want to live on this planet anymore...
