Miss Strahovski plays a character.

Making associations can make things very difficult, which is you should try very hard to differentiate between the two.

I suppose I'm just used to horror stories though.

If Yvonnes performance in Mass Effect were more well known, I think it could help her career. I'm one of the people that think voice acting and work takes just as much hard work and effort on the part of the actor as being in front of the camera does, and honestly, as great an actress Yvonne is, She REALLY nailed it in ME2 and several scenes of ME3.

You mean besides the daily existential crisis followed by proclamations of his undying love towards Miranda that leads to many of us questioning his mental facilities and stability? Not really.

People were pretty adamanet that the last season with Edward James Almos was just about the worse thing ever and they're continuing the show regardless. They are doing ANOTHER season after this one.

I honestly have no idea why they case her to be honest. Everyone else that has been cast has been relatively well known, with Lithgow being the stand out.

But it also depends on what happens to her in the show. If she's killed off, she'll be remembered for that. I makes me nauseous just thinking about it.

I can't see her doing this role and being taken seriously. Some people just shouldn't be doing this. Hall is great at what he does and it's believable if somewhat laughable at times ( the portrayal of a serial killer is so inaccurate it makes my head hurt).

She there's because someone wanted her to be.

Sigh.

I was more after anything interesting Miranda related (new pics, rumours etc), rather than anything else.

Some fan art and such that I haven't seen before.

You have a lot more insight into the film industry than I do, but I feel the same. Yvonne took the job because, 1) I think she is genuinely interested in the role (she's one of those few actresses that is truly passionate about acting.) and 2) she's trying to get her name out further and get more of a career boost. But someone wanted her there and pulled strings to get her there. She's not there due to her own merits.

I hope she were to get her own USA show (White Collar, Covert Affairs, etc.) but in essence, Chuck is kinda already like that.

The death and breakup scenes were both very well done. No question.

Oh please MassEffectFan up there is one of the nicest people on this forum. He's dedicated. There's nothing wrong with that.

As for Miss Strahovski, she'll be fine, unless some things go badly. I'll be honest with you. I think she's been horribly miscast and I think it's going to show in the reviews.

It only takes a few days an episode for television. It will be ready by September.

And then I'm sure I'll hear ALL about it.

I'm glad I didn't talk with Showtime about a job on Dexter though.

That would have been really awkward.

I am Dedicated, but there are always some things on the internet, and maybe even in Real Life, that tries to ruin everything, as if there intentions are to change one's opinion, beliefs, etc. ****ing up the mind.

No way. I'm not a heavy drinker. Beer is awful and unsatisfying.

Who says it has to be beer?

Cognac, Tonic, Gin, Vodka (tastes like damn hand sanitizer), Rum, Whisky, Tequila, Sake, Scotch, Champagne, Wine, generally anything alcoholic ;)

If you can handle anything above 135 proof, you're more a man than I.

This reminds me of the time I drank to much and started drunk posting in this thread.

I thought o Ventus wanted to name stairs after Miranda.

He meant "stars".

I was too ****ed up to tell the difference.

You see, I honestly don't think I'd have a problem talking to a celebrity. In the Army, we get a lot of military celebrities going through all the time, and regular celebrities are mostly normal and down to Earth. Not the ones constantly gracing the tabloid covers, but the regular tv joes and janes that you see. Btw, do you know anything about how Strahovski's personality when the camera isn't rolling? I know she has a wicked sense of humor, is pretty shy, and she's really compassionate about animals and children, but anything about her personally?

Though there is nothing more that I would love than seing Walters and Hudson sidelined from ME3 DLC I just can't see it happening. As long as ME3 is selling, EA is happy and the company isn't known to change its ways to please fans, so they'll stay and finish the job of screwing up the franchise.

Bioware is looking for a new lead writer for Mass Effect.

Nope.
A lead writer for their Montreal studio.

Understand that I try very hard to...not learn about celebrities before I meet them.

For example I worked with a guy who ended up on VH1 (I can dig up the commercial I worked on if you want) and he was totally down to earth. I want to know the person, not a description.

To be fair however, she isn't American, and as awful as that sounds it makes her sound more appealing.

American actors are pretty awful. Ben Stiller is an ***hole. Tom Hanks isn't though.

That description you gave describes me and that's the issue I have. People create unfair associations in their heads. From that description you gave it sounds like we'd get along great.

I'm very shy and I grew up around animals and have a unique sense of humor.

But that doesn't mean I should judge her based solely upon that.

The best advice I can give anyone is to never set your drink down.

Especially at fancy parties.

You could very well end up putting things in places you don't want.

Not that that's ever happened to me  but still.

Oh trust me, the fact that she isn't American appeals to me greatly as well.
As far as I can glean, myself and Strahovski have a lot in common as well. I lived in Australia for a year while my parents were in the Navy. She is an only child, as am I. I have, or had, a lot of trouble with shyness growing up and moving around from place to place every few months. I'm an avid animal lover, and my sense of humor is also very adaptive.

I guess this comes from my military background. We love to size people up before we meet them. It can sound creepy, but I work as an all source intelligence officer. We tend to love overanalyzing and making jugdements based on what we see.

As officers, we're encouraged to also make connections with our soldiers based on what we have in common. I have the feeling that with Yvonne, I'd get along very well with her personally, provided her temperment is exactly what I have heard of her being down to earth and approachable. I'm not so much like that, but I can tone it down when I need too.

but I see exactly where you are coming from.
