Since we haven't done this for a few pages...

What would Miranda say to Shepard after he wakes up in the hospital?

Hmm....I've just been replaying the third encounter with Miranda on the Citadel. Whatever else is wrong with Miranda in ME3, that scene is rather nice. Disappointingly short, but it makes me smile.

It's a reminder of how lonely the playthroughs are.I started a new playthrough earlier and met Miranda on the Citadel. We have Traynor and the Shadow Broker. We could have had Oriana rescued earlier.

But suddenly...Mac Walters.

I could really go for a picture in the captains quarters. Perhaps a message.

It would be awkward to have Shepard sitting in his boxers staring at her picture while on the way to Cronos though.

IMPLICATIONS...

I think Sam would make a better Shadow Broker than Liara. Just saying.

"Wake up, Commander. Shepard, do you hear me? Get out of that bed now -- this facility is under attack. Shepard, your scars aren't healed, but I need you to get moving. This facility is under attack. There's a pistol in the locker on the other side of the room. Hurry!"
"Huh. Wha..?!"
"Haaaaa. Got you!"

Traynor is a better character than Liara, period.

Steve is also a better character.

Even Vega is.

Liara is just...there...with an ever increasing breast size.

Yes Bioware, I noticed.

If we're talking ME2+3 Liara, then I agree. ME1 Liara and Traynor are tied for me.

Traynor is the only other character my Shepard (and by extension myself) would romance. And she only swings with women, but I did read an interesting if graphic fanfic written about Male Shepard and Traynor and how Traynor comes to fall in love with him.

I would take Samara over Liara any day.

Tali on the other hand...I can't even.

You know, you just made me realise that i don't get what is she doing in the Normandy ?
I'm no hater of her but if Bioware loved her that much why doesn't she do anything ?
She has no character development, she is irrelevant to the main story except at the begining with the crucible plans.
As you said.....she is just there.

ME1 Liara I have no opinion on because I simply never talked to her. I didn't do her mission until after Virmire, and by then it was the last mission in the game left. I had been everywhere and done everything else. I had but 2 conversations with Liara and then I went to Ilos and the game ended. ME2 Liara is ok, LotSB was good, even if that was when she started to ninjamance me. ME3 Liara was out of control. And the worst part was I could hardly get my Shepard to tell her no. He was practically railroaded into being in a relationship with Liara.

She's Walters favorite character. That's why she's there.

She serves no purpose in the story past relaying the Crucible plans.

It's also why she goes into your personal space...four times.

Everyone else asks. Everyone.

Yes, she only found out the plans of the only weapon that can destroy the Reapers, weapon that also becomes the entire plot of the game, to get it ready to fight the Reapers. Hum, I can see why you think she's irrevelant since she's only responsible for every race to stand a chance in the war...

And Vega is not a better character than anyone. He's the worst character I've seen ever, he's nothing more than the typical dumb, stereoid abuser. I still don't get how some women would want to romance that neanderthal.

The key word in his post was character development.

Aside from setting the stage for the Crucible she really doesn't do anything else.

Well, she does that one thing that is important. The same thing can really be said of most of the characters in the game.

I don't really disagree about the relative lack of character development, but actual character development is pretty rare in the game. Mostly it is handled by giving characters some new job or function (which for Liara happened in LotSB).

Even with the Crucible, was Liara the one who actually dug up the plans herself? Or was she jsut the person that told Shepard about them?

The only character that should definitely be erased from the memories of all the ME3 players is Allers. Worst character from all the series.

What's with the hate for Vega? He's a pretty decent character. A lot better than I thought he was going to be. He's actually one of the few introduced elements that work for the game.

Glyph probably did more of it than she did.

She was at a research base full of people doing research on the Protheans...

It isn't so much Vega himself, rather what he is supposed to represent. The new players. Never mind that he's borderline mentally disabled.

I don't like much Vega. He's like an unglory version of Shepard.

As far as I can remember, Liara mentioned the Shadow Broker looking at ways to stop the Reapers, and gaining access to those resources is what led to the (convenient) discovery on Mars. So, it's not like that aspect was entirely shoe-horned in (if you're willing to accept Liara's drastic transformation between ME1 and 2 anyway).
