Has anyone else thought about Anderson's line "You did good, son" literally? When playing spacer-Shep I actually did, since his father is a mystery the entire time. I think Anderson was actually intended to be Shep's father, but I can't tell.

He's not. Age is one limiting factor. Anderson was born in 2137. He only would have been 17 years old, and I think by then it would still be statuatory rape by Shepard's mother.

Depends on where Shep was born. Not every place has 18 as the legal age. Some have 16 (others still may be even lower).

Even so, in the first book, Anderson is mentioned as having an ex-wife and a daughter. That's it.

That's actually one of the reasons why Anderson's extended dialogue was taken out. It was beautiful dialogue but Anderson says he didn't have a family when he did or something. I would have enjoyed it too.

"Your kids would be proud. Their father/mother was Commander Shepard."

Also, Anderson says that regardless of background. Earthborn's parents are completely absent and Colonist is said to have witnessed their deaths.

Yeah, my Shepard is an Earthborn. He had no family.

Spacer Shepard's parents were lifelong military.

I dunno about the Alliance, but I doubt minors can join into service.

But is it specified that they were military when he was born? Just asking (I'm not trying to say Anderson might be Shep's father- Hackett would make a bit more sense in that regard).

I have to actually write Joseph watching his parents die. : / And, I'm sort of going to make it his fault when I get around to writing again. I hate hurting my characters but...It gives him motivation for this multi-background arc.

For the Army National Guard, you can enter basic training one month and a day after your 17th birthday with parental consent, and you can enlist for all branches at 17 for the Delayed Entry Program.

I was 17 when I joined the Nasty Girls. I'm 21 now.

What class does everyone here play as anyways?

Luis up there is a Vanguard because he told me.

o Ventus is a Sentinel...

I used to be strictly Soldier, but I gave Sentinel a shot during one of my recent ME2 playthroughs and think I'll stick with that (though I'm considering Infiltrator with my last FShep that I still have to play ME2 with).

Adept my canon Shep, love pure biotic power. Other Shep's tried all the classes but my favs will always be adapt, Infiltrator and Sentinel. Give Infiltrator Shep a run, love it in ME3 especially when you get the m-98 widow I love that gun, instant kill. Also Infiltrator is my fav class to play in multiplayer, playing the new earth multiplayer I'm not a big fan of Rio or Van zones but London is good, also I really like the N7 destroyer, I've yet to unlock the others but when I equip that gal with my trusted sniper the carnage is epic:D

What would Miri's ideal Breakfast be?

Eggs that are cooked differently (Sunnyside-up, Scrmbled, ete) everyday with three pieces of bacon, two sausage, and maybe an English Muffin if she's in the mood. Her drink of choice would probably be either really black Coffee or some type of juice.

....I really just pulled that out of my ass...

With butter.

On everything.

I just have too much fun with Vanguard. I get to jump from enemy to enemy.

About to kill me with that high power attack after I used Nova? NOPE! OTHER SIDE OF THE FIELD NOW!

Surrounded by enemies? NOVA B!%#$@&!

But then Banshees had to come along and ruin that fun for the final battle. I was really looking forward to jumping aorund the place like an 8 year old loaded with Sugar and Coffee on his Birthday/Christmas. T_T

Oh god. Now I have this lovely mental image of Miranda and Shepard waking up in the morning and buttering an English Muffin while Shepard is reading the Newspaper and ITS SO ADORABLE!

The way I play my canon FShep, she might as well be an Infiltrator that happens to have biotic abilities. I outfit her with the Black Widow (which I do most of my killing with) and the Tempest (both maxed to level V). Once I get to Earth though, I'll roll with the Revenant and the Tempest, just to make sure I don't run out of ammo.

On the topic of Kai Leng from the past page...

I just played Thessia again...

He's a pansy when he isn't in cutscenes and all of a sudden he's this uber badass.

I'm still laughing at how stupid he is.

I can't wait for my favorite line though...

Soldier.

Adrenaline Rush (+kill bonus), AP Rounds with Higher Penetration, Incendiary with explosives, Disruptor ammo with shield breaking, and wide area burst frag grenades, plus all the other weapon damage. Mixed with a Paladin, Hurricane, Claymore/Eviscerator/Wraith, Black Widow/Valiant, and any AR of your choice (they all rape).

There was nothing left on the battlefield afterwards.

I disagree. Anderson stabbed Shepard in the back in ME2, and when Shepard was arrested by the alliance (I say arrested because at the end of Arrival he pretty much tells Hackett and the alliance to **** off.) Anderson was the one to take the him and the Normandy back to Earth, then take apart MY ship and call it theirs, and then tell me I have permission to use it. If I knew I had to turn myself over to the alliance, I would have told Miranda to take Normandy and her crew and run, hide, and find ways to stop the Reapers until I called for them.

I'm letting TIM finish off Anderson in all my endings from now on.

You do realize they had to try Shepard for Arrival to avoid war with the Batarians right? And no matter now much butthurt you have over the Alliance, Shepard understands this as well. Oh and regardless of how much you Renegade it Hackett tells you, the time will come when you'll be called. The time comes and Shepard goes with it, like it or not. And given what we see of Anderson I'm sure he made the transition the smoothest it could be.

I compared Anderson-Shepard to Campbell-Snake for a reason. Campbell screws over Snake enough times as well. But their bond goes deeper regardless.

What about waffles?

Miranda: *Reaches for the last Waffle, as does Shepard*

Shepard: Leggo my Eggo.

Miranda: No. I think I'll take it. *Starts to charge up her Biotics*

Shepard: ....Ok, you win.

Miranda: *Takes the waffle* Hmhmhm. You fall for that every time.

All I did was charge Kai Leng and shoot.

That's all I needed to do.

Until his gunship showed up...

The fact that this boob can actually kill Miranda makes my head hurt...

So that's the best advice you can give when I start a new playthrough as one?

I've never done anything outside of Soldier and Vanguard, with the latter being my canon Shepard.

I'm quite fond of the Biotic Explosions myself, but they're far easier to do in the third game.

Tech Armor slows your power cooldowns, but it isn't too big a deal in the long run. Taking Slam as a bonus power is a good compliment to Warp, as Slam can detonate Warp (and vice versa).

I play as a more damage focused Sentinel (+power damage and cooldown reduction for Tech Armor, ignore Throw, maximize grenade capacity and damage, maximize Warp damage, etc).
