I disagree. Anderson stabbed Shepard in the back in ME2, and when Shepard was arrested by the alliance (I say arrested because at the end of Arrival he pretty much tells Hackett and the alliance to **** off.) Anderson was the one to take the him and the Normandy back to Earth, then take apart MY ship and call it theirs, and then tell me I have permission to use it. If I knew I had to turn myself over to the alliance, I would have told Miranda to take Normandy and her crew and run, hide, and find ways to stop the Reapers until I called for them.

I'm letting TIM finish off Anderson in all my endings from now on.

You do realize they had to try Shepard for Arrival to avoid war with the Batarians right? And no matter now much butthurt you have over the Alliance, Shepard understands this as well. Oh and regardless of how much you Renegade it Hackett tells you, the time will come when you'll be called. The time comes and Shepard goes with it, like it or not. And given what we see of Anderson I'm sure he made the transition the smoothest it could be.

I compared Anderson-Shepard to Campbell-Snake for a reason. Campbell screws over Snake enough times as well. But their bond goes deeper regardless.

Unfortunately, my Shepard sees Andersons betrayal in ME2 as the same as that of the VS on Horizon. My Shepard goes to fight the Collectors and the Reapers, does everything he can to save the colonists and protect the galaxy and fight for the principles he believes in, even if that means doing what he did during Arrival. And what happens?
They label him as a traitor to everything he's presently fighting for, just because he's not playing on their team.

And my Shepard never really had the best relationship with Anderson. They did their fair share of headbutting in ME1. One of my favorite moments of ME1 was refusing to salute Rear Admiral Mikhaelovich, and telling him to **** off when he wanted to inspect Normandy.

Oh definitely that is why:

Miranda: You're joking, right? That third rate "Restaurant" couldn't serve a good meal even if their lives depended on it.

Shepard: Of course I'm kidding. Last time I was there, it nearly made me sick (This is NOT a reflection to a Real Life Experience). I'm  making Breakfast.

Miranda: Try not to burn anything.

You don't remember the story about the whipped cream?

Then again I think you were just there for the part about Harbinger on the beach...

What betrayal? That Anderson on the one encounter you have with him doesn't immediately list out every Alliance operation to a man they previously thought dead who is now working with a known terrorist organization? And this you're comparing to the incesstant whining distrust of the VS?

VS: OMG Shepard, you're working for Cerberus? Traitor! *optional* I thought you loved me!

Anderson: I can't disclose classified info man. You're my bro, but the Illusive Man may be manipulating you. But hey, wanna be a Spectre again? <-- obvious sign of distrust lolol.

Truly, the same thing.<_<

No one actually in charge or in the know ever labels Shepard a traitor. But they do have to string him up for political reasons. Hackett would stop it if he could. So would Anderson. But this is too big for them.

Edit in response to your edit: You want your Shepard to hate on the Alliance, so be it. But that does not change Anderson's characterization one bit. In fact if you do flip off the Alliance and he still supports you, that's just more props to him. It means he's not just a drone.

All I did was charge Kai Leng and shoot.

That's all I needed to do.

Until his gunship showed up...

The fact that this boob can actually kill Miranda makes my head hurt...

Sanctuary

Kai Leng: (raises sword) And now Miss Lawson you- aren't you going to do anything?

Miranda: What?

Kai Leng: You know, shoot my legs out, smash my sword with a backhand, anything like that?

Miranda: I wasn't planning on it.

Kai Leng: Really? Wow, you know this is a first. I've been in a real slump lately, my boss has gone completely off his rocker, I'm stuck leading a team of homicidal space ninjas, and I broke into a guy's house just to steal his freaking breakfast cereal!  The hell's wrong with me? What am I doing with my life?

Miranda: (rolls eyes) That's very sad now can you just get on with it?

Kai Leng: I'm kind of busy having an existential crisis right now. At least you've got Shepard, I mean he seems like a pretty nice guy.

Miranda: We broke up.

Kai Leng: That's rough, was it a mutual thing or you was it kind of like that thing between you and that Jacob guy?

Miranda: Will you stop talking and  just assassinate me already!

Kai Leng: Hold on, this isn't one of those "he doesn't love me so I'm going to intentionally get myself killed" sort of things is it? 'Cause that's just stupid, I'm an assassin not some trashy romance novel plot device.

I remember something about sex atop Harbinger's corpse.

At least, I think that was that conversation.

His ending involved Miranda on the beach in a bikini.

Somewhere along the line he told me it needed to be made of whipped cream.

If you check my wall posts you can find out his response when I asked him about cherries.

Should I do Sanctuary tonight and go get Miranda out?

Or should I wait until tomorrow?

I should probably be reading or something...

I was referring to his loyalty to Miranda.

Not his newly diagnosed Bi-Polar Disorder due to the auto-dialouge.

When I took out some Corrupt Cops for Lorik-Qui'n, Liara said, "All targets eliminated." That made me think of Miri when she says it when holstering your weapons.:(

Sorry for the rant there, This one was my fault. I just got off a thread defending Cerberus from some of the self-righteous bastards who stick alliance dick in their throats and guzzle till they **** out rainbows.

But that doesn't stop my Shepard from distrusting Anderson or Hackett. There's an amount of respect there, but Shepard feels that if they were truly as dedicated as he was, they would have shut up and done what he did and go rogue if they had to to stop the reapers. And coming from a difference of perspectives as well as taking an artistic change for fiction writing, I see Hackett and Anderson as not believing in the Reapers either until they're vaporizing people in the streets. Then and only then does the alliance and the council decide that they might have been slightly mistaken on the subject of the existence of giant robotic cuttlefish that have a boner for wiping out organic life.

In my post ending fic, Hackett even tries to take bring Shepard under control by arresting Miranda and having her charged with terrorism. He does this so that Shepard can see that Miranda is a dangerous influence on Shepard and is subtley trying to draw him away from the alliance. He's basically like "Shepard, she's a menace. I'm doing this for your own good." He gets Ashley to make the arrest, and this involves the coveted Miranda vs Ashley fight, and Shepard and Ashley finally have the talk about why Shepard hates the alliance and why he's done with Ashley (who up until then had completely refused to see the point that Sheaprd is no longer interested with her.) I'll probably have Shepard kill Ashley when she tries to stop him from releasing Miranda.

I'm sorry but I am utterly anti-alliance. Hell, I think I'd rather see the Reapers win than have the alliance get the credit.

Have her find Shepard. She and a team of doctors help restore him back to health while he's unconscious. She is there to see him when he wakes:

Shepard: *weakly* "Miri?"

Miranda: *barely keeping her composure* I'm here Shepard, we're all here, the Normandy, Joker, Garrus everyone. You're here, on Earth, in a hospital. You're hurt, but you're going to be alright. I'll make sure of it. I promise.

S: "I found you"

M: starts to cry silently "I know you did"

S: "I'm sorry it took so long. Had a galaxy to save first."

M: crying a little harder now "That's alright. You're right on time."
