Entirely avoidable.
It's like Miranda hiding and still retaining the Lawson surname. It's not that she is an idiot, it's just that Bioware thinks we are.

Especially since Oriana also calls herself Lawson ... despite being adopted into an entirely different family when she was an infant. <_<

"I was born here."

"REALLY?"

He only told you that once before Shepard, Jesus Christ.

I never saw Shepard as a genius in terms of what he knows (mainly because of how the game presents information to you) but he is an incredibly fast learner with extraordinary diplomatic skills. Relative to Miranda, he may have the intelligence but he has a military combat background, not a scientific one.

That Miranda comment about 'that fire that makes someone willing to follow you into hell itself' seemed a good assessment, and it reminded me of KOTOR2 (not BioWare, I know). I believe Kreia says something to similar effect. Without 'the force' in ME, it always struck me as that special draw that some people have. It's not exactly charm, it's not exactly intelligence - it's some unknown quality.

That's how I saw it anyway...where were we?

Charisma is the word. Or presence.

Charisma I'd put under 'charm'. I guess 'presence' would be the closest.

As I said, I don't think Miranda would settle for a man with an IQ of ninety.

We have to remain somewhat realistic here, in spite of the endings.

I think the quality is: "being the protagonist." =]

Let's blame the writers, not the characters.

It also gives you such endearing qualities such as functional immortality, blistering good looks, and overall being a paragon of humanity.

I'm only semi-jealous.

This is partly why Ugly Shep can be so funny. Wow, you have such... presence and... and... charisma B)

In other news, my latest chapter is ready!

Hopefully it's not too dull and boring for a load of set-up. The best in-game scene is on its way next. :P

Miranda: I don't have what you do Shepard-

Shepard That fire that makes people want to follow me into hell itself?

Miranda: I was going to say that idiocy that somehow makes you immune to harm but that works too.

It's good, but I have to say, you move the plot at a snails pace sometimes. And yeah, a lot of your chapters are way too short.

Wow. Someone had to put effort into making a face like that. **** me.

I'll stick with Sheploo thanks. Jesus.

But I don't know where that conversation comes in. Does anyone know?

As I recall, it's what you get when you have basically finished with the ME2 dialogue tree and have activated the romance, then check back with Miranda.

Hmm, thanks. Bit disconcerting though. Others tended to think the pace was a bit faster...and if the chapters are short then...what am I doing?

It should speed up fairly quickly now...

It's what people who romance Miranda probably hear for the latter half of the game. I could probably recite it if I tried.

I know lol

Especially on my first playthrough. I've tried to space everything out more since.

You know, anybody got any really saucy femshep/miranda fanfics, or know of any?

Well she has two romance specific dialogues before Horizon and then it's a straight line to the rest of the dialogue once her loyalty mission is finished.

I've never heard that dialogue before.

There's a really funny one where she's possessive if you have someone else interested on the ship, such as Tali.

Who has a link to that?

If you run out of other stuff and the romance is active, you'll get it. That can happen pretty early in the game if you rush the content.

Now that you mention it, I remember this one, funnily enough.
