The time span for ME2 is...three months? Someone said that once and I wasn't' sure how true it was.
And someone else said that the first game was a week or so. I'm not sure how true that was but still...
In My headcanon:
ME1 takes place over the course of about 3 months. You have to include time for spaceflight and exploring planets, etc. Mass Relays may shoot you across the galaxy and smaller relays shoot you to anywhere else in range, but the use of FTL drives is still limited in speed. Of course ME1 is a kinda time-sensitive game in the way that, realistically, the plot needs to move fast and over the course of weeks. You can headcanon that all the exploration done (side missions and quests) take place after the game if you want. Shepard is attacked and killed by the Collectors 1 month after the Citadel Attack.
2 years later, ME2 takes place over the course of about 6 months, followed by another 2 month between the events of ths SM and Arrival. 1 month later Shepard is hauled into alliance jurisdiction.
6 Months after that, ME3 takes place. Mass Effect 3 takes place over the course of 4 - 5 months.
The trilogy ends roughly a little over a year and a half after the beginning of ME2. That's how I see it.

Would it be possible to replace Miranda's Destroy Romance slide with her regular Destroy slide? It's pretty, but not as good as the non-romance version.
I think it's my favorite of all the slides

As to the possibility of modding it somehow... I'm afraid my technical wizardy is not equal to the task.

I'm lucky. For whatever reason, I get both slides on the 360. I don't get a Jack slide, but I'm ok with that.

It's the only slide where you can see her face (and isn't looking like a zombie).
I don't know how it happened, but I get both slides in my game. And I'm a strict Romancer too.
But the EC is still painful to watch.
As far as polishing a turd goes, they made it shine.
But at the end of the day it's still a turd.

Yeah, that's true, now that you mention it... I hadn't really considered that

"Oh man. If only you guys knew what was being planned... You'd keep your copy of ME3 forever."
Minus the EC and the multiplayer packs, we've gotten nothing, which leads me to hope there will be a lot on the horizon. And there are still so many plot threads that never got finished. I know the EC threw them off, and to be honest it kind of worries me on the amount of DLC we'll get now. Since it was free, they didn't make a dime off of it, and it was probably pretty expensive to make. So that had to have screwed with funding for DLC.

Well, the devs always say things like this. Doesn't mean much. It's like if you're writing a recommendation letter or something... If you don't use hyperbolic praise and talk about the super-awesomeness of everything, it sounds like you are not enthusiastic.
I imagine the amount of SP DLC that is actually produced will depend greatly on how much the early SP DLC sells. If people do not buy it, and it seems like the SP campaign is dead, then there probably won't be as much of it.
Beyond this Leviathan DLC and the Omega DLC (both of which seem likely to be in production, or already finished production), I'm not sure what else they might do.

The problem is, they really let a lot of plot threads go, and ME3 just feels so... empty as a game as well. No real sidequests, crap cameo's of all the ME2 folks. Once again the problem with ME3 is the execution. There is so much that could have gone right, but ended but being very, very bad. You're right about disc space being an issue, and extra time and money was denied by EA more than likely. ME3 just feels so much like a rough draft from a narrative perspective.

Agreed. Always had the impression of playing a rushed game. Let the reason be money or time.fiendishchicken wrote...

Many things seemed like a rough draft of what they wanted, strictly worked off a list of minimum requirements.
Like Miranda: "She was there, there was sister and Cerberus involved = Done."

You could try asking in the modding thread. I'm sure it's possible, but I don't know how to unpack the EC archive.jtav wrote...

Disk space isn't an issue unless you make it one. LA Noire (which, funny enough, had an ending that ruined the rest of the game for me) had three disks and was planned to have 5 disks on XBox 360 and 3 on PS3. If Bioware got EVERYTHING right, No one would have complained about having 4 disks to ME3. It was EA not allowing the needed development time. Evil Assimilation Corp. has done this a million times before. : /
I'm looking at the fetch quests in ME3 and...They wouldn't be such an issue if it wasn't for the fact if feels like their equal with the rest of the game. There isn't anything that's stright up "HORRIBLE" about them, though, They took what the wanted to fix with the planet's surfaces, boring bits an all, and applied them to the clusters rather than planets. The issue is more about how many there are. If they kept the current ammount of these fetch quests and added two more disks to ME3, I think it would have been fine. A bit boring to be sure (and annoying on Inanity where you can ****** of the reapers in a single scan).
I looked at the Planet Scanning from ME2 similarly. It wasn't horrible and wasn't dificult to do in the slightest. Just boring. And I saw it was a nessicary evil so I lived fine with it. Better than the Mako. Hated the Mako. Mostly because Thresher Maws just LOVED to come up just bellow me and insta-kill. -_-"

Well, no. It's actually quite a bit easier to kill them on foot. Just keep out of the targeting help range and strafe and you'll be OK. Also you get 2.5 times the xp for killing things on foot. I never fight in the Mako. I like the Mako, I've learned to handle that "drunk rhino" right.

No, the only dead characters for me are Ashley, Morinth, Mordin, Thane, and Legion.

That must take forever....Takes 5 hits from the rockets to kill a Thresher Maw in the Mako. Though, I'm not level 60, so I doubt I could do that easily. I've gotten used to the Mako being a drunk rhino and I wish that the jump key was actually useful, but its still boring as are most of the side quests that involve collecting writings or ores or insignias....
