Wasn't there some sort of big controversy with her star wars books? She called those who disagreed with her "tali-fans", how well do you think she'd fare with BSN? :D

Funny, since she's just as rabid for Mandalorians and Boba Fett in particular (notice the helmeted similarities:lol:)

Supposedly she writes Jedi as little ****es when up against manly Mandalorians. Hasn't endeared her to the Star Wars community at large.

Hmm. Wonder who she'd favor in ME. Quarians have the helmets and are nomads. Krogan got the mercs and the bloodlust warriors...

I'm guessing if she wrote, one quarian teenager would roflstomp an asari matriarch like it ain't no thing.

If you want to try and recruit from Star Wars writers, you do have better choices. You've already got Drew. I'd try and get Timothy Zahn. He wrote Thrawn. That is all.

Very nice! Love the attention to detail
This would have made a great romance scene on the Normandy...Shep goes up to his cabin...and finds this :wizard:

I'm SO going to use this for TMC!

Though it also begs the question what would Miri and Shep's before nightmare talk and after nightmare talk be?

ME3's development always puzzled me. I mean, I know it's not like film where things aren't done chronologically but you think they'd have paid more attention to the very beginning of the game (metrics probably told them lots of people don't finish games, so leave the ending until later). I mean, that section has some of the most atrocious writing I've ever witnessed.

They really didn't have enough time. They had, what, 26 months from when they first started? About 1/4-1/3 through that time they canned the dark energy plot and went with... This. So that leaves them with, what, 19-21 months to work on the current version of the game? Still not enough time for an ME game, IMO.

Actually, the only people who die in my playthrough are...Mordin, Thane and EDI.

I can safely say that that's three too many but it's nice to know I have some semblance of control over the situation.

And Legion.

What makes Mordin's death powerful is that you CAN save him. Or, its atleast one of the factors. Thane and Legion die no matter what and you'll see that every playthrough and it gets annoying.

Selling Legion leads to some interesting outcomes. I do it sometimes just to mix up the playthroughs.

It means you can't make peace but it does lead to an interesting surprise on Cronos Station...

Legion has been turned into an assassin. Well the name is "Legion Assassin" but still.

He's just a slightly more powerful Nemesis, not that impressive.

I wouldn't have had a problem with a 'mandatory' death as long as it was done well (i.e. Mordin). Unfortunately, with Thane and Miranda, while the death scenes are executed fairly well, the actual circumstances surrounding it are pretty tame and unsatisfying.

I also wouldn't have had a huge problem with it if it were done well. However, it would've had to have been apparent early enough (either A. Sanctuary happens earlier, B. Romance lock-ins happen after Sanctuary or C. Miranda for some reason breaks-up with you) to be able to move on with someone else. Having romance options but not being able to move on from Miranda would be a problem.

Jay Watamaniuk's work with romance dialogue is a huge improvement from ME2 but I prefer Patrick Weekes' version of the character.

I mostly agree, but I didn't really have a problem with the ME2 romance dialogue.

Most things involving Kai Leng are terrible.

He is a complete pansy when he isn't in cutscenes.

All I had to do was charge and shoot. Rinse and repeat. It's pathetic.

Not to mention Thane, Shepad, and the Squaddies losing track of Kai Leng when he cloaks. Thane has a slight pass for diving forward but Shepard and Squad are looking intently straight forward...

Mac Walters wrote him too. He was supposed to be a badass.

Now he's just a chicke**** coward.

Oh, and why didn't Shepard turn the car over when they were in the Citadel? Kai Leng would have fallen a good fifty feet into the water below.

Or pull up so Leng got decapitated by one of the bridges. I swear, during that cutscene I find myself yelling at Shep to pull up.

Perhaps the writers thought that three LI's dying would been too grim? I have no idea. I thought that Thane's death scene was one of the most moving in the game. And the prayer that you can offer is an example of doing proper foreshadowing. At least it was for me, as I choose Destroy.

The line from Shep saying to Thane that he won't be alone long is also major foreshadowing.

Ooo, I like that

My personal destroy ending invlolves Shep/Miri starting an "aggressive" consulting firm on Illium, working with Tali/Garrus to clean up the Terminus System

You mean Benezia? Far as I remember she's content to just let her cannon fodder commandos attack us for most of the fight.

But yeah, If Traviss wrote that, it would've been Tali soloing that fight. And rescuing Liara.

Yes I could see that.

Any long journey away from galactic civilization sounds interesting.

But you do eventually fight Benezia herself, even if the fight lasts all of 14 seconds.

We've all been discussing them running away together.

But you'll need to beat o Ventus to the punch.

I don't care. My scenario doesn't involve them running away together.

I was posting in jest.

Although I much prefer the scenario with the independent organization myself.

Also, anything you write or think up isn't fan fiction. The thing I'd like to point out is that with this type of ending, anything you cook up is your canon/interpretation. An interpretation is not wrong is this regard.

This is the one thing you have power over that Bioware does not.

If she is a war fanatic as her preference for the mandalorians suggests, then it has to be the turians whose entire culture revolves around their military.

Personally, I don't like it. I much prefer the idea of Miranda and Shepard forming their own galactic superpower that counts exploration of uncharted areas of the galaxy amongst their inumerable activies.

Far more is done to further to influence society when something is done openly.

Humanity isn't going to need an advocate as they're now the center of the galactic economy. The Citadel is now above Earth.

Miranda and Shepard can use their influence to help everyone, which is what everyone needs to help rebuild.

They don't need another nationalist organization running around.

The STG won't cease to be salarian-centric anytime soon and so, humanity will always need its own advocate.
Sometimes this might involve grand speechs about cooperation and other times, assassinations, espionage and unhetical experiments.

There comes a point in which one must consider reality.

No one is going to be doing much of anything for ten to fifteen years. Bioware has stated it takes this long to repair the relays. In this time Shepard and Miranda are probably going to help rebuild, at least they will in my scenario.

While I agree that humanity needs an advocate, I don't think it necessitates such strong actions. Humanity is going to be the center of the galaxy because of Shepard's actions.

Let's look at the IRA I respect the IRA for what it wanted, but not it's actions of violence. I support the Bobby Sands trust for this reason. His death provoked more change than anything unethical experiments would do. But in the end Margret Thatcher was just as wrong as the IRA members shooting police officers in their homes.
