I have no idea why I always get Thane as well though.

As the second flashback, correct? So... Anderson, Thane, Miranda?

If so, I believe everyone gets that if Thane died in your ME3 game. (Except it's EDI in destroy.)

On the same topic, I really love that Miranda flashback animation. It's amazing how one little clip like that can connect with me in a way that nothing in the content for Miranda in the core game really does. Somebody really screwed up.

You get the characters who died Ieldra. I get Mordin and Thane. But in the Epilouge.

Depending on what you're doing it changes I guess.

I get Anderson, EDI and then my Shepard's last thought before being knocked back by the explosion is Miranda.

You bastard. You made a promise to Miranda. Miranda is the last person you break a promise too.

Thane can also appear in the later flashback ("sacrifices made"). However, he pops up in Joker's old slot now, except in destroy.

He's stated his reasons ad nauseum. I don't agree with all of them but I've come to an understanding. I'm sure his Shepard will be...recombining into some shape or form in his canon.

Everyone else is going to fufill that promise.

Unless you pick Control.

Or bust a blood vessel in your brain and pick Refuse.

The animation in the breakup scene and the animation in the flashback are two moments in the game where I'm really impressed with Bioware's animating skills.

Sure =]

Unless you have a strong accent, I can perfectly communicate in English.

I'm almost never serious. Unless I'm posting in Ieldra's Synthesis thread.

I was pleased to see Miranda in the EC, which as I've been led to understand was compiled mostly by Weekes. This tells me why it was capable of being emotional without being ****ty like Mac Walters.

I would still really like to have Miranda in some DLC and a picture for Shepard's desk.

The last one needs to be there so we can rub it in the faces of the Talimancers.

As much as it pains him, Cyrus Shepard must make the decision he believes to be best for the galaxy, even if it means breaking the promise. Would he not, he would not feel himself worthy of Miranda's regard.

Alas I can only mod this for PC users willing to use Texmod. :bandit:

A picture or some kind of meaningful item that is special to each other. In my fanfic, Shepard keeps a picture framed in his cabin, and half of Miranda's Cerberus badge, as well as keeping a small locket in his armor. Miranda keeps the other half, and has his dog tags and his N7 badge

I like Lance's idea of Shepard keeping a picture of Miranda in his armor. I hope you don't mind if I borrow it.

I had opined that it would be fitting to have Shepard look at a picture of her while on the way to Cronos station. This changed however because the cutscene plays without him wearing anything but boxers. Showing that scene together with a picture would send the wrong message.

In an odd twist of fate thinking I was clever for naming my Shepard after Major Tom from the the Bowie Universe really came back to bite me in the ass.

Like REAL bad.

To the point I was listening to the three songs that include him and went, "That's ****ed up."

I completely agree with Ieldra. Destory used to be my canon ending but then I realized that the only reason I had behind it was for Miranda and I know she would want Shepard to do the right thing before the personal happiness. Yeah, it's sad but for me it had to happen and I was happy to make that sacrifice with Synthesis.

Well it's debatable which is the "right choice".

Shepard has no guarantees that he'll survive, so it's unfair to say that he knows the results of any of the endings.

He does walk right into the explosion for God's sake.

Maybe I'm too big a fan of Casablanca, but of course Shepard chooses the decision he believes is best for the galaxy, whatever that choice may be, rather than focusing on what will get him back to Miranda. Miranda is the last temptation, the good thing that must be given up for the sake of something better. If Shepard survives in one ending, that's a gift, not a foreseeable outcome.

Well, that's a hard reason to argue against. I applaud your Shepard's altruism.

My Shepard's altruism has led to him seeing that a lot of the galaxy has proven itself not worthy of being saved. It's just a bunch distrust, racism, and BS'ing around with each other. The galaxy never needed the Reapers to wipe out all life. They were doing a very good job of it on their own. But he's proud he managed to bring everyone together to fight the Reapers, but by that point, there's only two things - two people left worth fighting for and those people are himself and Miranda. I like you're idea of him feeling unworthy of Miranda, but my fic is AU with a completely different ending based on Glowboy being an illusion created by the Reapers and the Crucible being a Reaper trap, and the revelation that the Citadel itself IS a giant Reaper, and the true avatar of Harbinger. The other Reapers are real, but Harbinger's Reaper form is actually another Reaper that he has assumed control of. Glowboy transforms into Harbinger's avatar and forces Shepard to... I still haven't thought of a good scene for this but it involves TIM coming back and sacrificing himself for something, then Shepard doing something that causes the Reapers to go haywire allowing the fleets to blow the **** out of the Crucible on the Citadel which releases a lot of energy that ****s up the citadel and gives the fleets a chance to fight back against the reapers. Shepard is thought dead until his comatose body is found in a safety room on the presidium. He is slowly rebuilt by Miranda and a team of doctors. I don't feel like explaining the other parts, but lots of happy crying takes place.

To my Shepard, the galaxy has sadly proven to be unreceptive and unworthy of his sacrifice.

Agreed. Game-wise Destroy is my ending. Canon wise, I made my own ending.

This.

People are dicks and they always will be.

They can have Synthesis when they reach it on their own.

Also, there are better Bogart movies than Casablanca.
