Yes, people are, in fact, dicks.

But given a large enough threat they'll come together to help overcome the odds.

If anything, the Reapers brought people together.

It would have been more likely we'd have killed each other instead of Synthetics doing it.

That at least if Washington falls, the President is kept alive.
When you already expect someone to attack somewhere, you won't move a crucial device right between that line to protect it.

Shepard united the fleets for Earth, not for the Crucible. Only near the end we are told that it works with the Citadel and that we would need the fleets to get it through to Earth.

And you really think that had the Citadel not been moved to Earth, the other races would send their ships to help liberate our planet? Based on what? Their word?
I don't. The allied fleet invaded Sol because that was where the Citadel was. Had it been moved anywhere else, that was where the allied fleet would strike. Not a single ship would be sent to Earth.

And really, can I blame them? Focusing their efforts on docking the Crucible is, of course, more important to them.

Maybe, but they originally promised support for Earth. If they would have kept their word without Crucible is open to speculation.

Guess we are also moving a little bit too much off topic here...

Seriously, you kids get derailed so much more than the ashmancers!

So am I the only one who gets really annoyed by the Tali drinking scene? Like, I get it for those (terrible) people who let Miranda die, but after a few replays, I just want to slap Tali and be like "Miranda's alive you dolt!" Which is too bad, cuz it's a cute scene otherwise...

That can be your head canon just as my head canon is that Shep is lying and his priority is to stop the reapers and has no intention of rushing back to earth until the citadel is moved there.
However unfortunately that's not the intended story Bioware was going for. Their idiotic story is that all Shep cares about is liberating earth and aliens are happy to help him as long as he/she does them a favour, leaving their own worlds to burn.

"You two were close."

We still are Tali.

And Matriarch Aethya refers to Shepard as Liara's boyfriend regardless of who you romance. THAT'S a bug though.

Although the amount of sappy chords that play whenever Liara invades your privacy is pretty annoying too.

Well it doesn't particularly annoy me as I assume its a bug. Anyone remember was there an alternative line in the leaked scripts for Tali? If it was deliberate then yes it is annoying.

Speaking of music, is this version Miranda exclusive? Because it's sooo beautiful.

That makes me go DAAAAAAAAAAW everytime I hear it.

And yes, it's just for Miranda.

And it isn't in the OST either.

Which is bollocks. It's a specialized version of "I was lost without You." It's played on the Piano.

So, in the end, we DID get something over the LI, a separate piece of music.

I do have that saved on my PC, including the most excellent full orchestral bit as well. I believe it was a snippet that Sam Hulick put on Soundcloud before the game was released. I've been meaning to edit the audio actually, so the two parts flow together after a perfectly-spaced pause. I can upload that if you want. As soon as I heard it, I knew I had to have it.

Well it gives me feels and I think a lot of people here would like you to upload that.

It IS Miranda-centric after all.

Yes, but know that we've figured this out we have to do something with it.

Another question. On Horizon, where is Miranda injured? I mean, she refers to some "scratch", but she looks fine. Was it just not rendered properly or something? Jacob at least has that tear in his suit, so he looks like he could be injured. Miranda looks fine, just with some coloring issues (there's like a red tint to her eyes/teeth as I recall? Maybe I'm just on drugs...).

She has a bleeding hole in her stomach if you failed to save her.

If she survives, I guess it could be a damaged bone or muscle from getting thrown by biotics. I see the red teeth as a lightning bug.

I think it varies a little depending on how beat up she is...and even then it's all over the place in the cutscenes. I believe if she's going to die from the injuries then she looks a lot more bruised, particularly on the face. She has...red circles round her eyes in every circumstance?

Oh, yeah, the red teeth. That one is a little odd.

I don't believe it's possible to really tell. I have never been able to figure out what is supposed to have happened, exactly. Probably that's because two different things can happen (she is ready/not ready), so they want to deliberately leave it vague.

Yep!  I reloaded after hearing that mistake. No way was I going to have Tali say or imply Miranda was dead.  Bleep you, Tali...  I don't hate Tali but that line was stupid.  Cute scene but she made a bad mistake.  I'll ignore her because of it.  <_<

It's just as bad as Liara's repeating her line from LOTSB...  Yes, Liara... WE WILL!  I don't hate Liara either but Shepard can only be friends with her. Don't want her romance Ninja' my shepard.  Already face palmed when Shepard said Liara was his girl. WTF Shepard.  Miranda is you idiot!!!

The only hope that I'll ever play ME3 again is if they add more Miranda content through DLC's.   Shepard DLC most likely too... I've only played through ME3 once!  I have another playthrough that Male Shep has Miranda as his only love interest. No others.  I've stopped after meeting her on the Citadel for the first time.

It's just too depressing. Sure, I'll replay certain missions again just because they were fun but sitting down to play it from start to finish, I don't see happening anytime soon.   Multiplayer is pretty fun.  I love it when I'm in a good group that knows what they are doing.

I'll have to stick with my fic... more satisfying.  Oh and recently finished up 5 chapters after Shepard does the destroy ending and who finds who. :)  May upload that after a few more rewrites/edits.  I'll just have to figure out if I want to tie it into "Escape" or have it entirely a new and separate storyline...

I'm tempted to tweet at Michael Game, with something like "For a fan of Miranda, or the ME2 squadmates in general, is it worth holding onto my copy of ME3?"

Of course, I have the PC version so it'd be an idle 'threat' regardless. :P

I acutally paniced the first time I did the tali scene because I thought I'd screwed up and Miri died anyways(I had been on the boards and knew how difficult it can be to keep her alive, also annoying!).  I had to run down to the war assets room and make sure she was still listed.  Stupid tali and her confusing dialogue...

I know! Thus why I reloaded hoping it was just a bug. Can't be too sure now a days. :)
