I'm tempted to tweet at Michael Game, with something like "For a fan of Miranda, or the ME2 squadmates in general, is it worth holding onto my copy of ME3?"

Of course, I have the PC version so it'd be an idle 'threat' regardless. :P

Do it. See if he responds. Oh and Patrick Weekes.

I've never gotten that bug.  Mostly because I ignore Liara as much as possible.

What?  My game, I'll ignore the blue stalker if I want!

Just played through the 3rd conversation/romance scene. There are some very good things about this scene, I must admit. The "control" theme is really strong here, and I think it is supposed to tie into Sanctuary, where Henry is attempting to control the Reapers. Unfortunately, Sanctuary itself doesn't really make the most of these ideas.

Oh I know, flemm. The third conversation always makes me smile especially when Shepard and Miranda playfully tease each other near the end. I so want more Miranda, BIOWARE... come on! :)

I fear the possibility of the Shepard AI conflicting with the opinion of the galaxy and going rampant. Such a thing would be horrific.

The point of Santuary is to relay just how far TIM has gone in his attempt to Control the Reapers. He's just been using Henry for funding.

Speaking of which, that might explain the sudden influx of Cerberus resources, seeing as he's said to be the richest man in the galaxy in ME2. And I think that's said in Miranda's Loyalty mission for those interested.

Or I'm just reaching.

The injury is grating. If she survives, she's only lightly wounded. She carries on a fairly lengthy conversation without discomfort. Nothing the Normandy medbay can't fix.

Would anyone like comparison screens of her face? Or is that too geeky?

No one's going to say no to pictures of Miranda's face.

For me that meeting is love-hate. There's a few corking pieces of dialogue i love but I dislike the control chip convo intensely and find the fade to black and being dumped outside the door grating.

The point of the scene isn't to show them having sex.

The point is the emotional resonance and the bond they have.

I don't need to see where everything is going to know they care about each other.

Furthermore, anything they do in your head is going to be far nastier than whatever Bioware can show, hence the fade to black.

Yeah, but does he just sneak out while she's sleeping?! Maybe just leaving some TOP SECRET ALLIANCE BASE ACCESS CARD on the bedside table to make it even worse?!

I actually like the control chip conversation.  It's more character growth for Miranda (which is more than any other ME2 character got, unless you include Baily's new haircut and Jacob embracing his inner player).  And I don't mind the fade to black.  I don't mind the love scenes, but they're one of the lesser important parts of the romances for me.  I prefer the various interactions, WHICH THERE SHOULD BE MORE OF.
ahem.

It depends on what type it was.

Was it a quickie?

Was it prolonged?

The fade to black allows for...SPECULATIONS!

Well, at least this conversation is *about* something: freewill/control. I think Jay deserves credit here for putting together a couple of different parts of Miranda's dialogue in ME2 that had not been associated with one another previously. It's also good because it's Miranda herself doing some soul-searching.

Whatever the weaknesses of this one (and I think there are several), at least it has content. The other ones annoy me more because they are relatively vacuous.

I don't need to see everything but i would like something less cheap than being chucked outside the door after a fade to black. I don't need to see shagging but i would like a follow up, something like a kiss goodbye sequence etcetera

I don't mind the fade to black BUT they could have added a little more to it... Cuddling or something. Kissing each other goodbye or something. Not just dumping Shepard out of the door after two second. grrr. That part was unsatisfying.

The control chip is no character-growth. She just brings up something that has clearly been resolved in ME2 already. It's just such a stupid filler to give them something meaningful to talk about...

Regarding fade-to-black: enayasoul got it pretty accurate already.

Just thought of this... Or after they have their fun... He wakes and finds Miranda gone with his TOP SECRET ALLIANCE BASE ACCESS CARD... OH NO!!  *jk*

But I'd think he gladly hand it over for a kiss or another kiss...

I think they're in a bit of a hard place (sorry about the pun).

She doesn't want him to worry about her.

He doesn't want her to about him.

They can't hold back at that point and it's mentioned in the dialouge. They can't hold it in anymore. I'd imagine that once they're both "finished" they'll be back to business, hence the aprubtness of the cut.

The scene is about comfort in each other for a short time, not tantric sex.

She brought it up in ME2, but it was never really discussed or the ramifications of it.  I like how she realized that it's the same thing her father would have done, and how easily it would have been to go down his path.  It added some extra depth to her character.  And again, just because she mentioned it in ME2, doesn't mean it was resolved.  She finally got closure on the whole thing with Shepard forgiving her or the other choice that I've never picked (so I have no idea what happens).

I'm not saying it's as great as some of the stuff in ME1 or 2, but it's some decent character growth in a game where that's usually limited to squadmates.
