If you;re looking for content, Tali wins no question. So what do you value in a romance. What's your Shepard like?

Tali's ME2 romance was too close to my high school and college years. Miranda was romanced because I found her interesting.

Agreed.

Tali is like the nerdy girl who has a crush on the jock. I know some people find that idea cute, but I think it's pathetic. Plus her accent and naivete completely rub me the wrong way. And she's not attractive at all. She has freaking forked feet and bowed backwards legs. Not pretty.

Not to mention, I'm pretty racist against Quarians. I'll be honest, I see a lot of them (personally, this is NOT how my Shepard thinks but how I think) as damn vermin, living up to their suit rat reputation. And I got that impression from none other than Tali.

Tali is just a little girl who gets a crush on Shepard because of what he represents. It's not love, it's a fangirl hero worship. Not even Liara's obsession is that pathetic, although Liara's is much worse and creepier.

But I hope she (Tali) finds some happiness with Garrus. Liara also has Javik or Feron to fall in love with.

These are simply lovely!  I like them.  Can I get one of them about to kiss? :innocent: Or kissing?  I wish I had time to play around with that program.  Looks like fun!

I wasn't saying that to be negative to Tali. I don't think her romance is pathetic. But it's far too close to my life and issues for me to be comfortable. It depends on what you value.

So this pic goes with the current chapter in my fanfic, "If It Meant Living".  The fic is from the perspective of my female Shepard and covers, well, everything.  This chapter is centered around the events on Horizon, but adds significant backstory to how Miranda tracked down her father and got to Horizon.  I'd like to think it presents her in a rather more positive and strong light.  Also, at the end, Miranda and Oriana go with Shepard back to the Normandy, so Miranda will continue to appear in the remaining chapters.

I know it can be weird to drop in and just read a single chapter in an established fanfic, but I will say that Miranda also got significant attention in the ME2 storyline (Chapters 17-45, and in particular Ch. 38-39 and 44).  Anyway, here's a link to the current chapter for anyone who is interested: If It Meant Living-66: "Prodigal" (ff.net) / Deviant Art.[/quote]
Very nice chapter. I like your writing style and will continue to follow your story. Dropping in here was totally worth it

You're right, it has been totally worth it.  But I'm glad to do it :).  I really appreciate the follow!  Have another Miranda screenshot manip (not as heavily modded as my more recent pieces, but I still love it):

The choice is simple. Miranda Lawson. Miranda is a tough, driven woman. She has brains and beauty. She's mature. She didn't fawn all over Shepard either. Shepard had to prove himself to her. :)

Easy for you. And for me. But maybe there are some people out there who like their Shepard fawned over.

My Shepard like the attention as well. But as for being fawned over, Miranda is constantly admonishing him for jumping in the way of every bullet, and cleaning and tightening his wounds and first aid dressings.

Once Shepard and Miranda are in a relationship, I see her as totally being overprotective of him in combat.
Like a mother who is upset with her child who is constantly getting hurt exploring or fighting.

I can see her dressing wounds.

"Don't touch that!"

As for Tali, I liken her to crushing on Shepard's status, not the man. If he doesn't go for her, she settles for the next best thing, his bro, Garrus. Maybe I'm reading too much into it but I can totally see it happening.

It would interesting to see what kind of child Liara would have with Javik though...

Miranda lawson, no question.

tali's romance is like a high school first crush. A drolling teenager falling in love.

Miranda is a woman, not a girl.

Right now I'm listening to the Adagio Movement of Nielsen's 5th Symphony. Miri has a WONDERFUL Taste in Music<3. When I listen to the Music, I think of Miri:wub:.

I wonder who this was thought of? What was the significance? What made BioWare choose this Symphony "specifically?" Does it match the fact that Miri is both Beautiful and Dangerous? Does it fit her "Persona?" It matches Perfectly, but who in BioWare made this very clever combination? I can see Miri listening to this, and I can see why she likes it, but what gave BioWare this specific idea?

Well...yes but it would interesting to see that happen.

Although I think she'd be better off with Feron. He isn't creeped out by her behavior.

I heard the other day that they almost had to replace Tali's voice actor because the Talimancers wouldn't leave her alone.

LOLWUT?

Liz Sroka isn't even that pretty, nothing against her btw.

Tali fans are the people who are kinda the castouts of society. They like the nerd queen and are the people playing an above the healthy line of WoW (see redshirt guy) a lot of them also have maladjustments to society as well, and psychological and mental problems. They are also the ones who are hugely into anime. They like Tali because she is just like them more or less.

Not saying this to be mean to Talimancers, but that's how a lot of them are, enough to stereotpye them that way.

Tali fans are ****ing rabid as **** too. I am legitimately scared of them.

Yes, people have a tendency to like characters that they understand (REALLY TABOO?)

I've never really understood Tali's appeal, at all. She isn't adorable, she's just...there.

I have never found a use for in the games either. She just sits there on the Normandy.

I do enjoy the prospect of the romance scene with Miranda where she works though.

"Shepard and Miranda did WHAT?"

Yes, yes your tears sustain me.

I'm so terrible.

Thanks.

Really hope I am not the only one who is not blinded by all the pretty pictures that the EC provided.

The endings still suck and BioWare hasn't changed anything about my neagtive attitude towards their company.

It could have been worse.

I'm just thankful that they retconned Walters Dark Age bull****.

Patrick Weekes put it together, at least that's what I've been lead to understand. Not even he could fix everything. I'm sure he's responsible for these retcons.

Same here. Tali utterly hates Miranda and is in love with 'The Shepard', and when Miri probably tells her to get lost to clear out the engine room, she doesn't realize what Miri and Shep are doing. Once she finds out though that Miri is 'having her way' with Shepard, she'll probably try to get her shotgun and kill Miranda.

Not nearly as bad as Ashley. She'd try to force herself on Shepard, after arresting Miranda.

Part of my fic has Ashley going psycho-ex girlfriend. Shepard has to put her down when she tries to stop Shepard from saving Miranda from execution by the alliance.

No, I'd think that by that time everyone on the ship would know that something was up. It's quite evident that Miranda would be possessive of Shepard, as evidenced in dialogue. Tali would probably know, but the fact that they were doing things of an adult nature in her work space I'd think she'd be even more upset.

Oh, and I did some looking and you can in fact see the walk way from the armory. The entrance is rendered, the platform is not. If Jacob or any other member were to look at the window they'd see everything.
