Hey, so someone explain the Miri ending slides to me. The one where she's looking at reaper schematics, why is she studying them? And is that her sister in that one?

Obviously the Miri stargazing one I get. She's waiting for Shepard to get his lazy but back from the citadel. I mean, he said he was just going to have a few drinks with Garrus to celebrate, but that was like 6 hours ago. If they're up there shooting bottles again...

I don't have patience for incompetence either. Yes that's Oriana in that slide and yes they're studying the Reaper schematics.

In my scenario, Miranda is going to find Shepard in the Hospital because she can't wait any longer. Much like before, only she won't have to break in.

Not at all, I'm just pointing out the unintentionally similarties between the two.

I'm stll rooting for Shepard to destroy the Reapers and think the Council were clearly in the wrong and honestly are too incompetent to even put on their trousers, let alone manage the Galaxy.

It's like in Harry Potter, where when you get down to it, aside from being a sociopath which is in stark contract to Harry's ability to love, Harry and Voldemort are the same being almost, but on opposite sides. Or Batman and The Joker who are both clearly insane, but Batman's insanity simply went another way and got put to a good cause.

That was the parallel I was trying to put forth.

In mine she'll be leading the rescue crew and there won't be any chewing out happening. Shep did what was needed to be done and he lived through it.

Yeah i don't think Miranda would like any kind of dictator, even a benevolent one.

The AI isn't Shepard. It's merely an imprinted AI with his personality.

My Shepard has an unstable mind at the end. I won't risk grabbing those rods and unleashing an unstable AI on the Galaxy. Too risky. And no, I don't think Miranda would approve.

Exactly. No one would. There's no reason to even reveal there is a control entity.

Better to just let them wonder why the Reapers changed their minds.

Of course no one would just accept this at face value... hence studying the Reapers just in case we need to fight them again.

Sexuality is actually really complex.

Freud argued that without societal influence we would all be Bisexual. It's an interesting thought. Freud however was a bit bonkers.

However it's more than evident that sexuality is similar to the way it is now in Mass Effect sans the discrimination.

The only difference is the introduction of aliens.

Miranda is heterosexual, at least by the games standards. Bioware has stated as much with the exclusion of a FemShep romance.

Tali is the same way. She too was supposed to be available to FemShep, but Bioware decided against it.

But Diana Allers is up for grabs.

Miranda could credibly be either hetero- or bisexual. Since the romance is entirely player-initiated, "you never asked" is valid. And the dialogue with FShep is flirty to a degree that makes me uncomfortable. I know it's resources, but I run with it. It amuses me to write the poster girl as queer. And I daresay there are people out there who are a better match for her than Shepard. My attachment to the romance isn't to the one onscreen. It's to the one I wrote in my head. With a Shepard who goes against canon on a few points.
