Showtime and HBO hire quality actors to make quality programs. But past that most of the stars are not marketable. That's one of the reason I watch them and only them.

Michael C. Hall will never work the way he wants once Dexter ends. His career will be streamlined into things that aren't worthy of his talent. He's great in Dexter, but he won't be wanted by people after this.

Plenty of people who are made famous for one role go on to have successful careers.  Ed O'Neill was on Married with Children for, what, eleven years?  He's had a number of minor recurring roles and now pays the bills with Modern Family.  David Boreanaz played Angel across two series spanning almost eight years, which is about how long he's been on Bones.  Kelsey Grammer was Frasier Crane for twenty years, and while he seems to be stepping behind the camera more often than not these days, I'd still say he's still got a fulfilling career.

It's not a foregone conclusion that someone who makes it big with a single role can't go on to do other great things.

Think about were those roles originated.

Understand that those people are very lucky. Ever wonder why you see some people for a short time and then they drop off the face of the Earth?

That's what Hollywood IS. It's that way for a reason. You either make money or you don't.

No taboo, you're wrong. Hollywood is a land of sunshine and bunnies where if you have talent, you will be rewarded and lauded!

Hold on, Brandon Routh just finished mowing my lawn, I have to go tip him...

I'd be happy to tell more horror stories in PMs but we should really get back on topic.

Miranda from ME2, can you come to ME3 and kick your impostor's ass?

I prefer her white bathing suit, but I still approve.

You know, I would have really liked it in ME3 if as well as removing the Cerberus logo, Miranda's outfit had a dash of the N7 red-streak present on one arm, as a sign that she's now firmly grounded on Shepard's side?

She wasn't an imposter. That's just the direction the character went.

It's going to stay that way as well. The Miranda that wants a child and a family is here to stay.

@Sifr:

She's firmly grounded on Shepard's side because she's in a relationship with him. She's more than loyal to him.

Although I wonder just how much she'd admit to him sometimes.

Could I get some help parsing whether Miranda is the best possible match for a specific Shepard?

I think she's the best match for Shepard anyway but why don't you go ahead and give us the specifics.

lolno, that would have been even be more obvious on her run from Cerberus^^

I would have wished for a simple, stylish civilian outfit...

Idiotic that they re-modeled her catsuit instead of providing something that makes sense on the run from Cerberus...

Or a reminder of who they have to deal with if they decide to cross her.

I do love that civilian look though.

I haven't read much on the shields tech but you generate that just as easily in Civilian Dress correct?

I know that sounds ****ing stupid but I'm not as well versed as some of you. You clearly have shields in your formal wear in the first part of Kasumi's Loyalty mission.

I honestly have no idea.

But I like the idea of Miranda in civilian dress after the war.

And I ask only because Miranda's suit generates a shield and it's far thinnner than Shepard's formal wear.

Miranda's on Shep's side but she still has no time for the Alliance therefore no i don't think she should have any N7 markings.

She's loyal in her thoughts and that's what matters most.

Well, I am also loyal to the police and I am not allowed to put official logos on my clothings :P

Though now Conrad Verner comes to mind... he had a rather official N7 armor as well and no one sued him for it...

To be fair Miranda wouldn't put anything on her outfit because it would draw attention.

But she's more than loyal.

Christians Shepard (and yes, he knows how silly that name is, hence using his surname exclusively) was born into poverty on Earth. Violence was a way of life, and he did what he had to to survive and still tends toward dealing with situations aggressively rather than diplomatically. Despite that, he has a healthy intellectual curiosity and joined up as much out of a desire to explore space as to escape his life. He was posted to the Naval Exploration Flotilla and loved his actual work, but hated the regulations. He mouthed off to his superiors one too many times and found himself fighting in the Battle of Torfan. He completed his mission objective no matter the cost, but he didn't enjoy the killing at all. He doesn't really like being a violent thug, but he does have a ruthless streak. Sacrificin she's isg the Council, destroying Maelon's cure, and so on, though he did spare the rachni. He simply doesn't think he can afford the more Paragon path. He romances Liara in ME1 partly because she's as good and innocent as he wishes he was. The lady to her knight. He's the type of guy who will scan every last collectible on the map on principle and leave no system uncharted. He will choose Synthesis partly out of a desire for his last act to be creative rather than destructive.

If he ends up with Miranda, it's her drive, intelligence, and pragmatism that will attract him. She's smarter than he is, and he likes it. He has no problems with her being Cerberus, and is happier there himself. I'm envisioning a fairly low-conflict relationship. They're two people who see the world more or less the same way, but she can give him guidance and direction while he can help her become more open. Her main competitor would be Liara, who would also go well with him if they could actually fall in love with a real person instead of their ideas about that person.

So?

I don't think Miranda has a candle lit shrine to Shepard though. Tali might though.

But I can see her keeping a picture for herself and hiding this fact.

Maybe.

I've seen Miranda's outfits.  I don't think she's worried about wether or not they'll draw attention.

You've created an interesting dilemma there jtav. That's going to cause some serious conflicts with Miranda. Miranda would try and solve things diplomatically before shooting you.

However opposites have a tendency to attract. I would think Miranda would admire his tenacity and willingness to get things done but not the risk he's willing to take to do it. Some of those choices are fairly reckless and she wouldn't like that.

But all and all I think it would work. I don't know why Liara is there though.

If I might offer advice, in those situations it's best to change the subject.

Don't answer. Ever.

I'd assume so. It's probably ME2 messing with the lore, but I guess you can have a shield unit on your person/in your clothing that generates a field. With her outfit in ME2, you could probably imagine it has some sort of protective layer woven in, around which the shield also configures itself.

That's how I'm writing it anyway. JUST TRY AND STOP ME.

I was accused of lying in that case. IT DOESN'T WORK. The best answer is a non answer.

"Does this make me look fat?"

"Excuse me I need to go get a drink of water."

I was thinking along the lines of them having something on their person as well. It just doesn't make sense otherwise.

I feel like a lot of your questions end up being rhetorical :P

Or they are not really questions, it is your way of formulating ideas. Not that this a bad thing.

Just an observation B)
