Something tells me Jacob isn't interested in male Shepard.

Yes, but Miranda WAS Jacob's.

The point, he gets it.

But he did something that really hurt her, and knowing Jacob, he ****ed it up good.

Considering how the Jacob romance is, Are we sure Miranda ended things? I would like to point out how awkward and restrained she is when Shepard first starts up the romance with her.

I don't see how the two are connected.

As in Miranda could still be hurting from, Jacob possibly breaking he heart and her being nervious about becoming emotionally attached again. As she's said before, She's not good at attached.

Well, I don't think we really know. Seems like they just called it off after a while.

Oh she ended things. Talk to Jacob. It's more than evident that it was very brief because Jacob did something bad and REALLY ****ed up. They simply happen to work together.

She still cares enough to help him with a promise she made but any type of relationship between them is out of the question.

He really ****ed up.

That's not what Jacob's own dialogue implies.

Don't forget that it is Jacob who says Miranda ends thing... Even then, I wonder what he screwed up on that time? Did he knock up a different scientist?

I just realised how much more of an insult that would be towards Miranda....

I bet his dumb ass got frustrated about her infertility and he said something. Or he was sleeping around.

That would really hurt her.

From his dialouge he seems to be completely incapable of understanding her.

He doesn't know how she works. He states this.

Miranda = Infertile

Brynn = Fertile

2+2 equals...

Honestly I think that's reading too much into the ridiculous character assassination of Jacob in ME3. For which he is not to be blamed. Back in ME2, the two of them just had relationship that didn't work out. Happens all the time.

Everything has to be taken into account flemm, whether you like it or not.

That's the way things are.

I don't like it either but that's the way things are now.

My theory is that he made a pass at the Illusive Man after he finished working for Miranda.

It makes sense given how he keeps sleeping with his bosses. He went after Miranda when she was his boss, FemShep when she's his boss, Brynn when she's his boss...

There's got to be a reason why he has eminty towards the Illusive Man (I reckon he rejected him).

The guy is obsessed with the priiize...

Yes, but the fact that he "knocked up" a scientist in ME3 doesn't mean he had already done the same thing in ME2 Posted Image

I don't think he did that.

He states he doesn't understand Miranda.

One bad slip of the tounge about her infertility and he's going to have some very, very blue balls.

All we know is that it got bad REAL fast.

Yeah, sorry guys, I edited my post because I caught the humorous tone a bit late. I see what you meant now.

Nothing new, but I like it, and the page needs a pic:

Actually, we don't know that.

All we know is that it didn't work out and that Miranda broke up with him. Also, the infertility has nothing to do with it, since that only came to light early during the events of ME2.

I still haven't figured out were Miranda's suit generates her barrier.

Her back?

Hell if I know.

The way I see it, her outfit must have all the tiny emitters for shields built into a layer inside. Then she'd have some kind of central power unit somewhere. Maybe the small of the back?

Sounds like another Shepard to Miranda.

Really nice song. Sad but wonderful. This song would be Miranda to Shepard.

I've always viewed it that Miranda ended fling with Jacob because she could see he wanted more than the casual thing she was interested in. Certainly don't think it had anything to do with infertility and doubt it was him screwing up.

I would disagree. That doesn't sound very Miranda to me... No offence.

The infertility thing was a joke that came out of a bad joke. Nothing more.

Weather he screwed up or not is up for debate as we have only Jacob's testamony and I don't think Miranda ever even comments on the past relationship.

He always struck me as a man with trouble committing to something. For a character like Miranda that's so committed to a cause, it's a dealbreaker.

Jacob in ME3 supports that hypothesis.

I don't mean that he cheated on her or anything. Just that he left the Alliance because he was frustrated and seemed to always have one foot out the door in ME2. His loyalty is loyalty of convenience. If anyone is familiar with Sondheim, "Marry Me A Little" sums up Jacob's character pretty well. Only the attitude isn't confined to romance.
