Wow, Courtenay Taylor, the woman who voices Jack, was billed before Miss Strahovski.

not sure is srs Bioware...

At least Courtny Taylor has talent.  And I'm not sure they're billing by importance, could just be all thrown together or something after the main character actors are listed.

Or they really hated Chuck season 5...

Top Miri.  No idea who that person is (edit: Just wiki'd her)

@Taboo:
Are *you* trying to lecture *me* about interpretation? While loudly proclaiming your speculations as "knowledge"? *You* are telling *me* that I'm ignoring evidence while you don't even bother to check your facts? You know, I'm taking that personally.

Once all the facts are in, you can make educated guesess. That's how character analysis works.

No, it really isn't. "Educated guesses" of the sort you are talking about correspond to nothing in reality and are merely a product of your imagination.

(As it happens in this particular case the facts do not even support what you are saying.)

I'm not proclaiming anything. I merely stating what I was taught to do. That post should be taken in a deadpan manner. Please take Jacob's dialouge into consideration.

Also, when more information is revealed you need to make new assumptions. You did this for Synthesis. I'm merely looking at information I've been presented.

You're making this far more hostile than it needs to be.

He's below Keith David and Raphael Sbarge (Kaidan).

They're larger characters in the narrative.

Wait, is he above Kimberly Brooks?  Will I have to shank someone??

Buzz Aldrin is above Kimberly Brooks. She's lower on the list than she should be.

In all fairness, Buzz IS an icon of humanity. You know, being the second human to walk on the moon and all.

IMDB lists first billed actors here.

First billing also ensures time spent both advertising the character and the amount of money involved.

It makes sense to have Jennifer Hale and Mark Meer at the top because they're Commander Shepard.

It doesn't make sense to have an actor who's been in porn be billed before the poster child of your last game.

Actually, I have not said anything except telling Taboo that he can't know what he presumes to know. And anyway it's not even all that important. I'm just FED UP with his condescending attitude!

Edit:
If you're talking about the timing of Miranda's medical report - it's not conclusive, but Miranda must have been on the Normandy when she made her iPartners assignments (note the username) and the placement of the medical report suggests it came later.

From a few pages back: I don't think Kasumi was watching the ending room fiasco, or at least she didn't stay and watch.
Thing is anyone with a brain on that ship could infer what was going on. I would imagine there's always someone in engineering keeping an eye on the core. and panel readings and whatnot. If Miranda "clears the engine room" and goes down there, and Shepard goes in a moment later, what do you think is happening? Even if it's not something that immediately occurs to everyone, people talk, and it only takes one person to mention it before it clicks in everyone's mind.
Of course with all those rooms with windows to the engine room it's quite probably somebody actually saw what was going down. However I don't think any of the squad actually stayed and watched. That Burt guy might. If he got his jollies watching Kasumi in her suit, he probably glued himself to the crew quarters window...

Those things aren't always that reliable after the first couple.  I've seen a few times where one of the biggest stars/most important characters (usually both) is listed way down for some reason.  IMDB isn't working for me right now, but I'll find some examples later.

So don't get so hung up on how IMDB has them listed...

Hmm... the imdb lists Laura Bailey (Oriana) as playing ensign rodriquez, Dr. Eva Core', PTSD Asari commando, Lt. Karin for Mass Effect. What I found very interesting is she's listed as voicing Kira Carsen? In Knights of the Old Republic. I actually enjoy having my companion team up with her. (my one only Republic character, the rest are imperials, so far. :) ) Jaiana Proudmore in World of Warcraft too? I never noticed. :( Have to wonder if these are accurate... she's been a busy lady.

Traynor has also voiced a lot of characters in Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age:2... Never even recognized. Huh! :)

What does this have to with Miranda? I love the accents the characters have in video games. And Miranda's is my favorite. :)

I never said I knew anything other than what I was taught to do. Look at a character and make assumptions.

If you've been paying attention, I've said your guess is as good as mine.

You've instead chosen to brand me as malicious when that wasn't my intent.

Well, in Strahovski's case, she's been noticeably absent from any marketting, and always responded as if she were under NDA when asked about the game, including for example an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel a couple of weeks before the game was released.

So that might mean they worked something out where she did the VO but had minimal presence otherwise.

How you present your interpretation is important, i.e. identifying what you say as interpretation. However, this is a challenge for everyone (including myself, of course).

I can give you a link to the first billed only if you'd like.

Miss Strahovski isn't on that either.

I don't follow her around like you do so anything I hear about her comes from you guys.

But it's not something to get hung up about.

The actual numbers are what matter and we don't have those.

But you have to look at first billing and see where the effort went in.

You'd need to know her fee.

I'm sure it was negotiated, as flemm suggests.
