Hmm... the imdb lists Laura Bailey (Oriana) as playing ensign rodriquez, Dr. Eva Core', PTSD Asari commando, Lt. Karin for Mass Effect. What I found very interesting is she's listed as voicing Kira Carsen? In Knights of the Old Republic. I actually enjoy having my companion team up with her. (my one only Republic character, the rest are imperials, so far. ) Jaiana Proudmore in World of Warcraft too? I never noticed. Have to wonder if these are accurate... she's been a busy lady.

I really like Laura Bailey's voice as Kainé in Nier and as one of the options in Saints Row 3.

Not as Oriana though...

Also, IMDB is not an official cast listing. I think there's behind-the-scenes rating stuff that alters where they appear. Best to check the actual game credits.

Don't take anything I post as an insult. My intentions are not malicious. I don't care what people do.

I like seeing what my favorite actors and actresses are doing that's all. And I do it the same way you do. By looking at interviews and watching them on television.

Anyway, somebody linked that Jimmy Kimmel interview here before the game's release.

It seems fairly likely, I guess, that Strahovski's agreement to do the VO for this game did not include paying her to advertise the game, so she can't/doesn't talk about it.

If I was going to be condescending I would make sure to let you know what I thought of you. I don't see this as any different from any other debate about art and it's content.

It's not malicious, it's just spirited that's all.

Entirely possible.

But she needs to stay busy.

If they're money to be made and it's a secure job, one that she's done before, she would be wise to do it.

I think she just wasn't in the game more because it was written that way.

For a character that was the poster child of the last game, I just think it's odd that they would sideline her THIS much.

That's my issue.

And partly because we were hoping that, if we were loud enough, BW would listen. ME3 is almost my worst case scenario regarding Miranda.

I think Bioware just biffed and thought we were more interested in the story than the characters. Not that the story of the first two wasn't great, but I didn't play Mass Effect 2 10 times because I found the collectors so interesting, I did it to mix and match my squads and get to know them all better.
So yeah, ending=bad, but reduced character involvement=worse.

It's too bad too, because most franchises (movie, tv, game, whatever) would kill to create characters that involved the audience in the way that ME's characters absorbed all of us.

Bioware took the most loved characters in the franchise (the ME2 squaddies) and then turned them into 10 minute cameo's in a 40 hour game.
