well my browser sucks, so I can't upload pictures or hyperlinks.

You don’t really upload them, as such. If you have a link, you can put it inside [ url ]http://linkgoeshere[ /url ] —just without the spaces inside the brackets. You can also do [ url=http://linkgoeshere ]text that appears instead of the URL, that you can click [ /url ].

Images are [ img ]http://imagelinkgoeshere.jpg[ /img ] —remove the spaces again.

Works in any browser.

In person goodbye would be problematic because Miri isn't a squadmember. She still gets a better romance than anyone who wasn't ME1. It should be better, granted, but it's better than any other ME2 LIs.

Counting Garrus/Tali as ME1

New areas on the citadel? What could these possibly be??? I don't want new characters! I want more development with Miranda... "Bastard" :)

That happened.

Well, it lasted all of 45 seconds, but it happened.

Bioware seems to think that everyone wanted ME1 back in ME2. Nobody whined about ME2 because we all assumed it would be something big in ME3. We weren't vocal enough about how much we wanted ME2 to matter in ME3

I don't think that's really true. They didn't get the content this time around, but that doesn't mean they aren't *real* romances in some sort of objective way. Hell, somebody was saying the lead developer is/was a Jack-mancer.

I heard that too. Mr. Hudson is a Jack-mancer. I don't really buy it, I see him as the Ashley kind of person.

It's really gonna ****in' matter at the end of the game. A 2 second glimpse of a white reaper (stupid enough anyway),
then RGB and it's dead.

I don't care in the slightest if it matters at the end of the game or not. "Bring Down the Sky" had zero relevance to the rest of ME1 but I still had tons of fun playing it because it was very well written,  introduced believable socio-political issues and presented a very hard choice to which there was no right choice.

I'm suprised we have stopped playing DLCs just because they are fun.

Besides, I don't want a reaper on my side. The whole idea is just bad. That's like having the flood on your side in halo.

That is a completely different issue altogether.
I don't agree with the problems that you raise but it is a real possibility that the DLC might fail to entertain. What I oppose is the idea that if a DLC has no effect in how the endings play out, that renders it automatically worthless.

I'll agree to this.  I was shocked that Miri wasn't a returning squadmember.  The whole end of the second game is that all of those who survived are with you and ready to help you stop the reapers and then they're just all gone at the begining of ME3.  What a terrible narrative disconnect!

Plus Miri is awesome.  I never thought in my wildest dreams she wouldn't be back...

Isn't there that thing where certain romances including allers are called true romances and Miranda and jack etc aren't?

The only thing that would make me reinstall and play ME3 is more Miranda content. So I really don't care about this Leviathan DLC.

Allers def isn't.  I've heard you can nail her then lock in your real romance actually...

If it makes you feel better, the apartment scene locks you into Miranda (if you hook-up), and out of all others (I got the default Ashley scene when I mirimanced).  So yeah, it's a real romance.

I think Miranda is a real and valid romance, just one where the tragic end was the one where they put the resources. But it receives due care and attention. I like it better than the ME2 version.

Somebody pulled something from the demo files that people panicked about, but the list was a little strange. Allers was on it, Samantha wasn't, I think (or maybe somebody else was missing, I can't remember). So... I don't think it means anything.

A rogue reaper that joins your side.

That just plain sounds like Bioware is running out of ideas.

And I want it to matter. Bring Down the Sky does "matter" in ME3. You can get Balak and his Batarian fleet. Not that we ever get to see anything worthwhile on Earth.

Maybe, but they simply gave me that impression that I made the wrong decision: I have more intiminate moments with Liara than my actual LI and Shepard's auto-dialogue represents someone who is in deep love with Ashley.
I get neither a romance scene or any sign of affection, nor a rewarding conclusion, nor a heartbreaking goodbye,... not even a small picture in the cabin.

I partly had the impression I haven't locked into the romance properly or something, because I got called to Earth before any sign of satisfactory conclusion for the romance happened.

Well, I'm certainly not arguing that it doesn't suck to have less content.

I can actually verify that it definitely sucks =]

Well, of course he is Posted Image

To be fair, I think the "find me" goodbye at the end is actually really touching.  It's too bad it's not in person, but for straight up content and what is communicated between the two, it's pretty top notch.

Actually, I believe you can get them without the DLC. The actual impact comes from if you kill Balak...which is kinda funny.

Ok cool. Remember reading that and thought i'd seen the achievement in the game separate to paramour. Must have been wrong.

People were worried at the time that it might correspond to the Paramour achievement, but Jack and Miranda (as well as Samantha, I believe?) grant it, while Allers doesn't. So... meh. Not sure what that datamined piece of info actually corresponded to. Maybe just a fragment.

Miri aside, any other LI I'm interested in for a broShep gets shafted:

Sheploo/Miranda
Sheploo/Traynor (I saw a really good fic that had this pairing. It's a lemon to some though fyi.)
Sheploo/Parasini
Sheploo/Femshep (Someone did it. It was pretty saucy.)
Sheploo/Kelly

For Femshep:

Femshep/Miri
Femshep/Traynor
Femshep/Kaidan
