Regardless of how you feel about the before and the ensuing cut, that scene in the apartment is very moving, at least to me.

Those kinds of things are hard to do.

That's the kind of thing I've always enjoyed Mass Effect for, the small things that mean everything.

Yeah, I'm doing a mirimance right now, and the difference between that and my normal Ashmances is STRIKING.  Seriously, you guys got royally gipped.  I just rescued Eve from Sur'Kesh, and I still haven't seen Miranda once.  ONCE!  I've had multiple conversations with Ashley and I'm not even romancing her! 
I promise to never complain again until they give you kids the DLC you deserve.

Taboo's right though, the Miri scenes are touching.  The first meetup and the last goodbye in person (on Horizon) are my favorites.

In terms of romance, Miranda is behind Garrus and imported Kaidan. She's ahead of Liara (yes, really, Liara imported is bizarre), Jack, Thane, Jacob, Kelly, and Steve and Samantha. Can't speak to Ash and Tali.

They really went for that one. I was playing with some new headphones and they did breathing sound effects and everything.

Miranda'sromance stillsin't rewarding as the squadmates romances. She just have the lest screwed romance from the sidelined characters, for me that doesn't make it decent.

You should probably link that...ahem, photo.

The best parts of the romances aren't the sex scenes anyway. Sex is only part of a relationship.

I'm not going to complain about such things. Intent of the scene is what matters, and I think they succeeded magnificently in that regard.

I think the worst part of the Miri romance is just that she's never around. I'm glad Ashley gets to be a squadmate and go on the missions with Shep. Plus then she gets dialogue in important scenes (she sadly gets great dialogue in the cerberus scene). I'd love to have Miranda around to get her opinion on various mission developments.

I feel Bioware really dropped the ball not letting Miranda tag along for at least part of the game.

I prefer her ME3 romance. Sweeter, natural, and more romantic. And at least she can consistently remember the romance exists.

Well I suppose it does wonders for head canon.

They haven't seen each other very much.

It's going to be a very emotional reunion.

Miranda gets that over the Squad LIs.

You have to...you know, gain her trust.

She isn't like Tali, who more closely resembles a high school crush romance.

Shepard has to prove himself but he also has to connect with her.

She isn't ready until past that Loyalty mission.

The game acknowledges this fact actually, on the Citadel...

Well, I think we'd all like more content. But I do like what's there.

But anyway, the character isn't the romance, really. Miranda also needs some interesting things to do.

"Nobody's perfect."

should be balanced by:

"Nothing is impossible."

ME2 does this magnificently, where you have the Lazarus Project and the Suicide Mission on either end ("Nothing is impossible."), and the Loyalty Mission in the middle, where you get the character's vulnerabilities ("Nobody's perfect.").

In that sense, Miranda should represent the best and worst of humanity: the mistakes and the accomplishments.

Yes, I agree. Perfection is great, but it's also false to assume that everything will go that way because you work hard enough.

Eventually you will make a mistake, and as Miranda says, the consequences can be severe.
