He can't cook, I never said he doesn't sprout philosophy or read really invigorating text.
Or it could be, you know, the daily progress report on Phoenix.

Can sheploo read philosophy while in the same room as miranda in skimpy clothing? My suspension of disbelief goes only so far
It's somewhat skimpy bro. Not in a bad way, but she is smuggling raisins...Taboo-XX wrote...

She isn't in skimpy clothes in that photo, that's sleepwear. She has on a top and some shorts.
Unless that touch is leading somewhere....

I don't see why it couldn't.
They could be in Alaska or something. We have no context as to where they are. That's the wonder of interpretation.
It's just chilly that's all. **** happens.
Gee, thanks dad!Taboo-XX wrote...
I can't believe I've let this conversation get this far...

It's room temp, Miri's just excited
Are we in agreement that post-destroy going forward, Miri is far more useful actively (not just as a symbol) than Shep? I could see her actually having ideas for how to rebuild society and/or the ability to implement these ideas.

Shepard: Hey Miranda, what do you think about joining me on some archaeological digs?
Miranda: You're mad if you think I'm going to become a damsel in distress while you save me from incompetent threats while wearing a hat and jacket, fighting with an old whip, just because you've seen in an an old 20th Century Film.

I could see her going farther than that. She's great at organization and project management. I could see her as a MAJOR cog helping to rebuild socity. I mean, she's ex-cerberus, but she fought with the alliance in the end, and Shep vouches for her, so I think society will let it go.
And she raised the dead. Last time anyone did that, they built a religion around it
...I'm christian, I so shouldn't have said that. Stupid wine...

Weekes didn't write Jack in ME2 and has gone on record as disliking her before he took on the challenge of writing her. But Jack's content feels dense than Miranda's and there's growth while still feeling very much lie Jack. Miranda is blurred and indistinct.
Jack's growth always strikes me as forced. A person doesn't stop being a psycotic **** in a period of six months. I liked what they did with the character, but I don't see a change like that happening that soon. And I don't agree it feels like Jack, she's still a ****, but her suddenly caring about other people and forgeting all that hatred? Not likely.

It's not the amount of content. Miranda arguably got more than the other ME2 team members. It's the quality, and that they mutilated her and replaced her with an impostor. As for being offscreen, everything interesting that Miranda might be doing is also offscreen - or it doesn't exist at all where it should.krukow wrote...

Jack gets two scenes and a kiss (I think she gets a kiss?).
And the goodbye transmissions aren't even close in comparison (Miri's is SO MUCH BETTER).
Jack may have growth, but it's all offscreen anyways (we dont' see her grow, we see what she's become. Kinda like Liara in ME2).
She did kill indiscriminately. Can I say....*cough*..."vandalism"? It's gone in ME3, but she pretty much came from being a psychotic killer. Any growth away from that must've happened before ME2, because she isn't that anymore after we get her off Purgatory.MACharlie1 wrote...
I think that was the point of Jacks arc was that she wasn't a psychotic killer. Everytime she kills it's because she's threatened. She doesn't kill indiscrimintly like everyone in the game makes her out to be. And yeah - she's a **** but so is Miranda, Ashley and Liara. It's not that Jack HATED people. She hated a lot of people for sure like anyone in Cerberus - I mean you would too. Anyone would after going through Pragia. And she clearly still does in ME3.Babi_Siha wrote...
