Stop your speculations, you have no idea what they have decided for her character.

And we really don't care about her being nude or not.
She's a talented actress who is already esteemed for her professionalism and her personality by her new colleagues.

Which is why we're speculating in the first place?

Neither do I, though if they were to do a nude scene, it should be done with taste and elegance.
But ask Taboo on his opinion of how Dexter could be smudge on her career.

Being a professional does not mean you get anything. At all. You have to fight for things in Hollywood.

We'll see .. rumors also say that she could be an important character even in the next season.

I wouldn't mind if it was tasteful nudity (is there such a thing) that shows off more the beauty of the female body rather than just sex appeal or physical hotness.

Taboo would know more than I do in this case.

Ever share a room with a girl? Is it sexual when she steps out of the shower? No. It's a state of being. She's just been cleaning herself like you do. There is no connotation of sexual anything. Although that doesn't mean it won't lead to anything, THEN it becomes sexual.

The United Kingdom recognizes this, and does not punish films or television that show it. Natural nudity is acceptable in films that are G (Or "U" in their case) here.

I don't really care either way, but I don't see Showtime doing it in that context...for a woman. If there's one thing HBO and Showtime are really bad at, it's showing nudity in a manner that ISN'T grossly sexualized. I remember watching Rome for the first time and being absolutely blown away by how explicit it was. I wasn't offended, but I was certainly amazed at the gall of the producers.

If that's the case that's even worse. No one needs to be on Dexter for more than one season. The show is already on the ropes.

The last thing you need is to be attached to a series that is flailing this badly.

If that's the case, she'll be either teaming up with Dexter or will avoid detection.

Both options are audibly laughable.

nor do I, but I think it's an interesting perspective to look at, and he knows a lot more about this sort of stuff than I do, so it would be stupid not to take his opinion into account.

I really hope so.  I like Yvonne, she was really good in something I enjoyed (both Mass Effect games), and she seems like a nice, fun person.  I would love for her career to go well, and I hope this Dexter run is great.

...I just have no faith in Dexter's production team.

Hey, maybe she'll replace Jennifer Carpenter, who I could totally see leaving (knows about Dex on the show, not dating Michael C Hall anymore in real life...)

Dexter is ending next season. There will be no more past that.

It's not going to do any good to be on the show if it crashes and burns.

Yvonne's character and Dexter will help one another overcome their murderous ways and eventually they will settle down to live happily ever after.

Or they'll do a serial-killer-hunters US tour.

I don't think yvonne willbe something more than a tv actress.

She still don't have any big role in a big-budget movie. I could be god if she got the role of Lori in the Total Recall remake (too bad she never got a chance against Beckinsale). That character would had been great for her, a femme fatale and an "evil" character.

anyway, enough of strahovski, we need more Miranda here.

I hear the new Total Recall bombed though. And Beckinsale will star in any old rubbish. Shame really, such a waste.

Dexter has never been particularly accurate in it's portrayl either.

He killed an innocent and felt bad about it. No, I'm sorry, it doesn't work that way.

The books are worse though, as a supernatural element was introduced, which is ****ing hilarious.

She's capable to have a long carreer and pick the roles she wants.
I prefer to see her happy, playing roles she likes, rather than making stupid choices for the sake of her carreer.

For your information, she refused two big roles in order to shoot the last season of Chuck. She's in charge, and she's the one who decide what she wants to do.
And the producers who can't see her talent can go to hell.

At this point I wouldn't be suprised if this all took place in his head like in American Psycho.

Michael C. Hall is magnificent in that role, but at some point it just needs to die.

Dexter should have ended years ago. Had they done it with the Trinity Killer, Lithgow, it would have been remembered far better. Now all it is is a joke. My suspension of disbelief only goes so far, and it just keeps getting more and more ridiculous.

I know this, and that's why I respect her. She knows what she's doing. The difference is is that it isn't always enough.

The goal is work, not profit. You'll be far happier if you work consistently and not for big roles.

She'll be okay, I'm more than certain of it, but she'll never be Meryl Streep.

Some things can change ..

I'm ok with that, as long as she reamains the same person and the same talented actress.

Unfortunately, while she does have the capability of picking her choice roles, she has to be offered them first.
You're second sentence, grammatically speaking, makes little sense.
Yes she turned down the Avengers, I don't know what the second role was, but yes she was loyal to Chuck. That means respect given to her both professionally and personally. But that doesn't count for **** in Hollywood.
And as much as anyone would like to tell the producers who can't see her talent to go to hell, they are the ones calling all the shots. They make the roles, and they ok each decision.

In my opinion, the best actors are the ones who don't hog the spot light and work just because they like to.

It's more than evident to me that she does this. I respect Michael Fassbender for the same reason. Although the one that really blew me away was Jessica Chastain...

Well, if Jenniefer Aniston and Katherine Heigl could becoma A-listers simply from doing lousy romantic comedies I have faith Yvonne will do alright. As long as she chooses different roles, if challenging even better. But she needs to try to stay away from television.

I would imagine that Daniel Day Lewis is your hero then, since he'll literally just go do something random like make shoes for six months, even though he could probably work on whatever movie he wants.

I won't lie to you. I would let him drink my milkshake. I'd let him drink it even if it was chocolate. I REALLY hope one of you gets this reference.
