I felt closer to the ME2 squad than any of the new ones in ME3.

In fact, I think my Shepard was closer to them than the ME3 squad.

I know it's already been mentioned but what i really hate with the squade in ME3 is that they are so BORING.

All of them are "pro alliance", "cerberus was always evil", "Shepard is a god" etc...

It's a safe squade, no different points of view.

The only cool squadmate was Javik. He was really interesting but what do you know, it's a DLC

I hardly used Vega. I don't even know who to use in ME3 anymore other than Garrus and possibly Kaidan. I didn't actually want to be around the ME1 Squad again. I wanted a Mixture. I want Miranda back, but it's not going to happen, because of BioWare giving what other fans wanted.

@ That GIF: I always made sure Miri was in that shot by reloading if her Icon wasn't in the correct position at the bottom of the Screen.

Yes I used him because there was nobody else.
Tali & Garrus are dead, I ignored Liara during all the game, and I didn't buy "From ashes" DLC.

I didn't really ignore anyone. I was just sad when walking around the Normandy, and seeing that Miri was nowhere in sight. Who gave the idea to replace Miri's room in such a way?

To be complete honest, I like EDI, not as a squad though and the only characters I'm actually glad are squads in ME3 are Liara and Garrus.

Who's idea was it to pull--no--DRAG the Player back to the ME1 Squad? I would have loved to have full control for picking the Characters I wanted in My Squad.

BioWare favors one side of the Fans, and leaves the other side alone to rot.

I don't think Garrus and Tali and even Liara are "pro-Alliance". They're just pro-Shepard.

And every squadmate is pro-Shepard. Eventually. Only difference is in past games you had to work for their approval (for the most part).

Now the real defining difference is in past games you a) met new people who were interesting by virtue of being new and more importantly they remained interesting in their divesity of backstories, what they offered etc.

ME3 by comparison you already know (and are maybe tired of) everyone except Javik and Vega. Javik makes it work, but like you said, he's DLC and thus missing from some people's games and Vega. While I don't mind Vega's character (I could even say I like him), he just isn't memorable. He's another bro where there are bros aplenty. Both Kasumi and Zaeed, click to talk squaddies from DLC no less left more of an impression.

If only there was a choice in ME3, one where you decide to reject returning to the Alliance. You're on your own in search for a Counter Offensive, but you still have contacts to the Alliance, like Anderson and Hackett.

I get a really funny glitch in that cutscene if I bring Miranda. She stands right in front of his face when talking to Kal-Reegar.

Miranda just stands there, her backside in Shepard's face.
