Such a great spot on drawing, and it inspired a lot more Cerberus meme.

Though none of those are as funny as Kai Leng dancing bellet.

Quarian fleet is bigger.

Bigger maybe. But nowhere near as effective. And quarians may falter at a critical moment because everything they are rests on those ships. Geth do not have that limitation.

Who's bigger depends on whether you rewrote or killed heretics.

They are also vastly more technologicaly advanced than their creators.  They do use ultra-violet spectrum for their GARDIAN lasers, after all.

The Geth are also solely reliant on that Reaper Code.

When the Quarians destroyed the Dyson Sphere the Geth became far less intelligent. Had they not run to the Reapers, the Quarians would have wiped them all out, which they do if you deny Legion/Geth VI the right to upload the code.

It doesn't matter how good your tech is if you're too dumb to use it.

There is that...

Seems like the writers screwed the geth a bit too. Wonder if they realized they made them too sympathetic and had to nerf them. Wouldn't want your race of Talis wiped out now would you?

How the heck did the Quarians destroy a Dyson Sphere? It's drawing the power from an entire star, the shields protecting it would have to be immensely powerful.

The Geth do pose a risk if you play the game a certain way. It looks like you'er outright betrayed if the Geth VI is there. Even Tali states this. You have no idea if the Geth are trustworthy after the codee is uploaded because the VI is not as forthcoming as Legion.

It was still under construction. Had they reached said state they would have achieved a singularity, with unpredictable results.

Although that doesn't make the case any better for them as they also said they were preparing to help organics against the Reapers. :?

Troubling...

No, I'm sorry. The Rannoch arc may have been one of the best written sections of ME3 but the stuff leading up to it (quarian-geth war) is pure idiot ball. If the quarians had any sense, they'd choose a new Admiralty Board after the war's over.

Yes, the Quarians have never been particularly smart in the politics department.

Everything that had happened with the Geth was their fault.

However, Legion DOES state that they commited Genocide against them and that they were excessive.

And they're willing to do it again, even when they have superior technology.

You’re assuming shields are capable of linear or better power utilization to an infinite limit?

Depends on whether you rewrote or destroyed the Geth Heretics in ME2. If you destroyed them, the Quarians are worth more. If you rewrote them, the Geth are worth more.

It would have been a technoligcal singularity. It would have been unpredictable. It could have been useless, it could exploded like a star and made a new black hole.

That's what the Reapers are trying to prevent. Had the Geth achieved this state, there was no telling if they would be hostile or not. They could be indifferent for all we know.

It certainly makes the case that Synthetics CAN be defeated though.

What, no…I just mean that there’s nothing that states that shields will get infinitely more powerful the more energy you supply. There’s quite likely to be an operational limit, like if you try to push 3 amps into a 60 W bulb to make it brighter.

Singularity is another matter, then.

That's just the thing. The Geth could become indifferent to organics and wipe them out just because they need resources.

OR they could just sit there for all eternity and ponder the nature of the Universe, progressing to a state of pure whatever.

This is what the Catalyst fears more than anything.

I guess, but I don’t understand what this has to do with the shield generators of their Dyson Sphere? ^_^

It's just that unless the Geth Dyson Sphere was only in the early stages of construction or had a Death Star-style weak point there's no way that the Quarian fleet could destroy it. A few hundred ships destroying a structure that encompasses an entire star makes no sense.

No, it doesn't work that way. That method was disproven by Dyson himself, it isn't practical.

What you're be constructing is something like this.

Image IPB

Even this is more practical. Same principle, different, more logical shape. This is a Dyson Swarm. This is what the Geth are referring to. At least I think they are.

I just made my first attempt at nude art with a newly released model.
Hope it's allowed to post it here with a warning of light nudity...

And nice work, Mr Massakka. Glad to see its not another one of "those" pictures. They flooded DA with that stuff.
