Shep: I want to work through this.
Ash: I hear you "worked through it" with a lot of people.
As for why cheat: why not? More content.

It simply became the cut and paste theme for everyone.
I've simply never liked the concept of messing with peoples heads jtav. The relationship meant something to Ashley and it meant something to Miranda. I think it's entirely inappropriate to hurt them like that.
It certainly wasn't a one night stand for Miranda, that's for sure.

I like the two characters too much, I can't think of one of my shepard's wanting to hurt them. Even renegade shep.

You spend months with Miranda building a relationship that culminates with sex. That sex means something. It's a bonding experience.

@jtav:
They really put an extra line in for people who had more than one "serial" romance in ME2? Yeah, that's cool but I'd rather have less of such little things (you recall the 15 different ways that salarian says "don't touch that"?) and more of the important ones, like Miranda on Cronos Station. :/.

Sam Hulick wrote that piece with Miranda in mind. He says so in an interview I believe.

Not everyone roles play their Shepard as a horn dog either. I see no reason to **** everything that moves.

You know how I feel about Miranda on Cronos. Just amused me, since I went to some trouble to change the romance to Tali.

It would have been really exciting to have them both there.
Pretty unbalanced though, skill-wise.

No I don't have a link to the interview. I think it was one of those BSN bull**** drops. You can believe it if you want. I can't say for certain.
...but, since it syncs so well with Miranda's scene, there's a strong case that perhaps it was used as the guide. For that version anyway.

I'm making a playthrough with my canon Shep where everything goes to s***, and I'm gonna make Leng kill her. But I want my Shep to stay with Kaidan so:
Can I "date" Kaidan after Horizon? Or can I date him before but still romance Miri and have that depressing dialogue in Horizon where she dies?

Posté 11 août 2012 - 10:23
You can stay with her, but you have to lock in Kaidan after you tell Miranda you still want to be with her after the first conversation.
You will NOT get the dialogue unless she's locked in as your LI.

You can either be faithful to Miranda and get the scene where she tells Shepard she loves him or you can nullify it and just be friends.
She's going to die if you don't see her in the apartment as well.
Stay faithful and don't warn her about Kai Leng.
If that's what you really want.

I get the feeling that if Miranda returned as a temporary squadmate her skillset wouldn't be as powerful as it was in ME2. Miranda's 15% bonuses to the squad's health/damage blows the tiny 5-7% buffs the ME3 squad has out of the water. She was a solid squadmate in ME2 because she could strip defenses and her passive buffs were really handy. In ME3 if I need to take multiple squadmates to replicate what Miranda could do by herself.
I don't think she'd have the same things either.
Javik has more than anyone else I believe. I think he gives up to 30% in one upgrade.
But he's no Miranda.

So, sort of popped into my head, Do you think Miri would propose to Shepard?
This would have been a question to ask me last night as I had been drinking.
I forgot to do the crayon drawing for you though. Sorry about that.
But now this question is going to plaugue me for hours.
I honestly cannot tell you Lance. Marriage should be her choice. I don't see it being completely out of the question, but I don't see it happening right away.
Give her two or three years.

I was asking would she propose to Shepard period. Not when. Like, would she wait for Shepard do get down on one knee or would she ask him herself?
I honestly see it as something being discussed in private.
As in it comes up in conversation and it would be mutually agreed upon.
Nothing...flashy or ditsy.

In this case, she has to ask Shepard to confirm if they're still together or not. Which is more to do with allowing the player to pursue other romances. But also...the relationship moves on from that moment as well. I guess the question is, who would be the first to propose...
If you're thinking about it in writing terms, calling back to the "I'm not good at attached" line would make for a nice touch.
