As you may have surmised, my current playthrough is not entirely serious. Would you like me to test if Miranda dies in a unique way if you don't talk to her?

I keep seeing mention of her dying to Cerberus troops if you just completely ignore her. Never been able to do that myself, but if you want to confirm it that would be appreciated.

Hmm, interesting. There is that uncertainness to her that says maybe she might not be so bold in that regard, but then again this is Miranda. I don't see why she wouldn't. Problem is...separating it from game mechanics.

In this case, she has to ask Shepard to confirm if they're still together or not. Which is more to do with allowing the player to pursue other romances. But also...the relationship moves on from that moment as well. I guess the question is, who would be the first to propose...

If you're thinking about it in writing terms, calling back to the "I'm not good at attached" line would make for a nice touch.

It's certainly something to ponder.

If you really wanted to suprise the audience you might make Miranda a bit more bold. Maybe brining the topic of marriage itself up and asking Shepard for his opinion on it in general.

But I like that "I'm not good at attached" being worked into it somewhere in there.

I was asking would she propose to Shepard period. Not when. Like, would she wait for Shepard do get down on one knee or would she ask him herself?

I think it would depend on your shepard. Riley, my main shep, would ask her before she'd ask him. I think Shepard would propose, she would decline and spend a few days thinking it over, and eventually she would reach an "ask me again" scenerio.

Talking more in just writing. Trying to head canon how the proposal would go and I can't figure it out even hours later.

One hand, She's straightforward and can be very bold. On the other hand, She saysthat she doesn't do attached and she is also a more cautious person.

I have no doubt if she felt any need of the insitution she wouldn't have any issues with doing the asking.

Oh, that reminded me of a silly/terrible joke I'd implied, whereby Miranda had 'restored' him after the Destroy ending and slipped an engagement ring on his finger for him to see when he woke.

She'd ask if she wanted it. Once she affirms the relationship, she's quit confident in it.

Sounds a little forced though.

Have him discover a notebook where she has scribbled 'Miranda Shepard', trying the surname out.

Oh wow! What if they both planned to propose to the other on the same night? XD

I think that would be adorable.

That's sitcom territory right there! I could try and help with that...

I see her using a practical reason like taxes as cover and superfically being businesslike. It fools no one.

Random thought. What if it's Oriana influencing her thoughts on marriage? Since she has the 'normal' life.

Perhaps Oriana is trying to help Miranda with a proposal while someone else is helping Shepard (Garrus maybe?). Of course, both would be making plans that overlap but neither would be aware.

Wasn't trying to use it sitcom-like, its just the best of both worlds if they propose to the other.

Miranda could be thinking that Shepard isn't going to ask the question and think asking him herself is the best idea and Shepard could be realizing that he should have asked awhile ago.

I'd excuse the time issues as an aftereffect of the war and realizing that time is precious.

I actually thought of that once. Having Oriana mess with them in a good way. Have one go do something while she talks to one about their feelings for the other.

And then she'd spring something.

But Garrus is your bro. He'd help too.

In my personal fantasy universe, the marriage is part of taking on new identities when they disappear. So not so much a proposal as a mutual agreement. The "proposing" was done a long time ago when he said he always wanted her in his life. Nothing has changed.

^ Yes, I like the latter two parts of that.

Marriage would simply be an abstraction based upon societal beliefs.

She can be just as loyal to him and he to her in a partnership.

That way he can still call her "Miss Lawson".

Of course if they did get married she'd keep her name anyway.

Things like this make me wish I had a fabulous PC. This is an alternate outfit that Jean Luc is working on over in the Fan Creations section.

Would it surprise you that there's a child in that universe. The idea of the kid growing up to be a scientist like his parents and Shep getting excited over giving him a chemistry set is too adorable for words.

I think that Miranda having a child that was able to decide what it wants to be is the most fulfilling outcome. And I mean that in that aspect of her life. I can totally see said son/daughter following in their moms footsteps.

To have a child free from that control her father exerted is the most important thing.

Gunned down by Cerberus troops during the Coup, which is a pretty lame death considering that TIM's "upgraded" troops are about as effective as your standard Imperial Stormtrooper.

One other thing that confuses me is that there's no change in dialogue on Sanctuary if you didn't have Miranda talk to Oriana in ME2?

Miranda: It's alright Ori, you're safe now.

Oriana: Who the hell are you people?!

Oriana's age also changes from nineteen to sixteen in ME3.

They messed up a lot of things.
