Oriana's age also changes from nineteen to sixteen in ME3.

They messed up a lot of things.

Where's this?

I believe that it's stated in one of the varients of the Spectre Office conversations.

Apparently Henry simply picked her up right off the street.

I believe the excuse was that because she was a minor she had to go back to her legal guardian.

They did? I don't recall them mentioning her age in three.

I said Ori read as younger because Henry takes Oriana if Miranda's dead more or less just by telling Ori he's her father and has to come with him. But her age is never stated.

You did say sixteen but we never reached a consensus on what the legal age in the ME Universe was, at least for humans.

I would think that Oriana would have more sense than to simply go with some random man. She had to have been taken.

Hey, I got a controversial question. Has anyone considered that Oriana really hindered Mirianda's character development?

^ I love it Jean Luc.

She is a part of the character. A lot of the character development in ME2 comes from being around Shepard.

Oriana and Shepard are the two things Miranda focuses on in ME3. If she isn't romanced, she focuses solely on Oriana.

Oriana didn't limit her though, Bioware not putting in a Cerberus arc did.

^ See what you did BioWare? You forced us to create Mods, which may corrupt our File or DRASTICALLY lower the Frames Per Second of the Game.

The performance hit varies from person to person, but Texmod doesn't alter any of the game files :wizard:

Miranda looks...really good in jeans.

If I had a PC I would be all over these kinds of things. The thing is, is that I could make one, but they're soooo expensive.

Does it cause conflict with the FPS if the model is in a higher resolution than the game settings are? I apologize if that's a dumb question, I simply have NO idea how this works.

Yeah, but I have to open the Mod with a different Program. And I want something that is "Official" and not Fan Made.

It depends on your system.  To the best of my understanding, Texmod effectively loads the high resolution textures directly into memory and "hacks" the game in order to replace the ingame texture files with the modded ones.  The performance dip is generally not all that much (maybe 5FPS on a decent system), but it can occasionally result in some massive performance drops, specifically whenever I go see the Illusive Man in ME2.  ME3 seems more optimized in that regard.

I love it.

It's entirely more realistic than what she has now. But you can't edit the physical model itself correct? You can only remove textures and paint on new ones (I'm not saying that right but I hope you get what I'm saying.)?

Miranda could have cut her hair shorter or even tied it back. But that can't be done correct?

You're correct.  The Mass Effect series is extremely unfriendly when it comes to modding (beyond console commands and .ini tweaks anyway), so models can't be altered.  The only thing you can change are the textures and how they work with the shaders.  You can also do some basic model swapping (giving FemShep the body of Kasumi for giggles), but that's about the extent of it.

I actually thought of that once. Having Oriana mess with them in a good way. Have one go do something while she talks to one about their feelings for the other.

And then she'd spring something.

But Garrus is your bro. He'd help too.

LOL!

@Hot_heart... the ring on his finger in destroy ending after she "rebuilt" is cute.

@Taboo and Lance and everyone...

In my lastest fic chapter... I had Orianna tease Miranda about the marriage concept and hints at working behind the scenes between Miranda and Shepard. :P  How'd you get the unreleased copy of my next chapter anyhow?!

Who knows... Miranda might have done it the same night Shep did but only if she had enough courage to do so...  sounds like her.  Shep just beat her too it.
Apologies for spoiling if none of you haven't read that far!

But whatever you come up with Lance. It's going to be good.  We all love our Miranda and Shep! ;)  I read a fic that Miranda declines at first. IT was an interesting concept.

I remember back in the day I would swap models when playing Fable on the PC. That was actually really easy. I would imagine that EA has something to do with this. Modding is a GOOD thing. In some cases, I prefer the modding to something that may be in game.

Valve is great with stuff like this. I could put stuff into those files and have all sorts of fun with Half-Life 2 and such.

You've made something fantastic in less time than it probably took for them to implement Miranda into the game fully. I just wish they were more friendly with actually doing things to the models. I would have loved to see mods with Miranda's hair cut a bit shorter or with her hair pinned back.

Alas...

I'm REALLY loving this texture mod! Let me know when't it's finished.  Would love to see this in the game.  It's a very nice shade of blue.

I have been planning this for months. I think you've been stealing from me. :P

In actuality, I think it's really cool that we intersect so much, as it means we have similar views of the character.

I was asking would she propose to Shepard period. Not when. Like, would she wait for Shepard do get down on one knee or would she ask him herself?

I think it would depend on your shepard. Riley, my main shep, would ask her before she'd ask him. I think Shepard would propose, she would decline and spend a few days thinking it over, and eventually she would reach an "ask me again" scenerio.

I don't think Miranda would deny him, especially if you followed the Paragon romance path in ME2.
Shepard's the first person besides Ori that she's truly ever loved. She's attatched to him, and loves him to death. She even basically said she would have liked marriage in her death scenario.
Miri would be fighting back tears of joy. Posted Image

Nah, I wouldn't blame it on EA.  Adding modding capabilities to a game can be a very time (and resource) intensive process, and many developers don't think the potential benefits outweigh the cost.  To be honest, I can understand that.  Unreal Engine 3 is a phenomenally moddable engine, but it's up to the developers on whether or not they want to utilize it, much less provide tools that would be understood by the "general fanbase."  Remember, Batman Arkham Asylum/City isn't moddable, Bioshock isn't moddable, etc.  They don't do that to be bastards, they do it because mod tools are unnecessary.  Appreciated, but unnecessary.

I wasn't thinking so much as to her saying "no", but as in not knowing what to say and in a sense dismissing herself temporarily. More like she was overwhelmed with the situation, not that she didn't want to say yes. Of course she would want to, she just panicked.

I honestly wish there were a productive way to convince BioWare that making a DLC featuring Miranda would be a good idea. Hopefully the fans' outcry for more ME2 squad DLC will convince them... :/

On a random note, anyone notice Miranda's new set of teeth in ME3?

Compared to Valve I suppose most developers look pretty bad when it comes to free things. Valve does so much for free it's not even funny. THEY are remarkable.

I need to get a new PC. It's simply time.

I wish they'd release some tools for ME3 though, as the results would be amazing, especially from what I've seen from the people who utilize what they have to work with now.

The only way to convince them that a Miranda DLC would be a good idea would be to come up with a scenario worth creating.  Simply saying "We want more time with Miranda!" isn't going to work, nor is trying to convince them to get Miranda to come to the Chronos station.  There needs to be something else.
