But Javik wasn't on the ship when they had sex, let alone 'alive' at the time, so I think it would be a bit of a surprise.

He knew Miranda was artificially "born" and knew that Grunt was tank-bred. He also knew that Legion was on the ship, and he doesn't even have DNA for Javik's sensory ability to "read".

Javik is the most interesting alien on the Normandy.

Javik was the most interesting new character. And one of the few true highlights of ME3.

Javik: "So, You were built synthetically?"

Miranda: "No. I am fully organic. But, My genetics were altered from my father's to create spesific traits and features. Its a bit complicated."

Javik: "I will not lie to you, human. I do not trust you, espicially if you were created by an enemy."

Miranda: "Good. We're on the same page then. I don't trust anyone."

(Non-Romance)

Javik: "Then I find you a most agreeable person."

(Romanced)

Javik: Though I agree with you, Your hormones by the ship core say otherwise."

Miranda: "You're correct, but what happens between Shepard and I stays between us. I hope I've made myself clear."

Javik: *to Shepard* "That woman is wise beyond her generation. I find her to be agreeable. For a primitive."

Very nice. How does it come we have to write the conversations that should have been in the game?

Miranda would have enriched the somewhat boring atmosphere on the Normandy. Apart from Javik, who is there who says anything interesting and doesn't toot the party line? And he's DLC. All in all the Normandy feels like there was a design decision to keep controversy to a minimum. Whoever was responsible for that did almost as much harm to the game as who wrote the original endings.

"The Commander is also very impressive. For a human. who once lived in caves."

"They used to lick their eyeballs."

"... They used to eat flies."

I love Javik's little history lessons. I am somewhat surprised that hasn't become a sort of meme yet.

Ken and Gabby say some funny things.

Gabby says she may hook up with Traynor and Ken asks her to use oil and take pictures. I lol'd.

I like the interaction between him and Vega.

Considering they ordered a rewrite; that basically says the first edition isn't canon.

I'd buy as many as you can. It'll go for a lot of money on ebay when its out of print.

No you won't. It's a fan thing, and I don't see many fans collecting that kind of stuff. Editions like that don't appeal to many people and they are going to be as popular as German money in the 1920's.

I can't wait to see what Javik has to say about Leviathan. I'm bringing both he and Garrus.

It will be glorious.

"They were much smaller in my cycle"

"I remember your kind when you were still minnows on Kahje. It's a pity we didn't teach you to speak better."

Who is the XO anyways? Can't be Kaidan/Ashley as they can die at the midgame.

Maybe Traynor or EDI?

It can’t be Kaidan or Ash, not because they may die (Pressly did), but because they’re not Normandy crew…

Traynor, no, she’s not familiar with running a ship at all. She’s a tech. Fantastic one, but still.

In my universe, Joker was the XO. EDI’s a good candidate, but aside from regs, there’re certain issues of nuance that might cause problems for her in that role.

I hated the Magic Prothean Powers.  Super-conflicted because Javik was a good character—but at the same time, adding a prothean was one of the biggest mistakes in ME3, undermining the premise an incredible amount.

I just got a PM with this text

I see you a lot on the forums, and I know you like Miranda.

Anyway, you were in my dream last night. In my dream, I was talking to my friends about Mass Effect, and Miranda came up. I said, "Oh god, her face is sooo ugly." Then, I saw you and said to you, "No offense."

I think that's pretty funny. I saw you as a person, even though I have no idea what you look like in real life.

not sure if srs :?

Re: Xbox360 modding, you can export saves via modio and then use Gibbed/lazarus on a PC.

Pretty sure modio is against the TOS of Xbox360, but that’s the price you gotta pay.

There is no XO on my Normandy. Not that Shepard is alliance anyway. He makes it clear to Hackett and the crew that the Normandy is HIS ship. That said Joker, Garrus, and Javik all sort of help when Shepard is busy, asleep, or otherwise distracted.

There are several reasons why Shepard didn't want an official XO though for me. The first is there was simply no time or effort made to fill out a proper duty roster. Another is that Shepard had enough people second guessing him off the ship, that he didn't want anyone on the ship to question him. And lastly and most importantly, he was hoping Miranda would take the job.

Who stole it from Cerberus...

Alliance make or not, that's still theft.

The alliance took the Normandy for Shepard when they arrested him. Believe me he didn't go quietly.

I actually liked the Protheans being there. It cemented the idea that we had to unite everyone under to defeat the Reapers (The Prothean's Mistake) and they weren't lovecraftian like the Reapers were. They could be discussed.

I didn't think his power thing was that hard to believe. Think of it like another sense. Like trying to describe color to the blind or sound to the deaf. He can simply feel an touch things we cannot discover conventionally.

Not anymore. It was an independant star ship after the endings of ME2.

The Alliance simply took it "because reasons".

I'd have loved nothing more than a Trial sequence allowing me to tell the Alliance brass to shove it.

Like I did with the Council.

And my Shepard had reached a point where he see's that that's all propaganda. Cerberus isn't out to kill the galaxy, until they're under full Reaper control. They're not the bad-guy boogeymen of the galaxy. In fact, for a large portion of the timeline, they're the only ones doing anything to stop the Reapers.

It's also important to note that a lot of the people in the alliance calling Cerberus terrorists are the same people providing quiet donations and information and trusting TIM to make the right decisions.

If with my feelings about Cerberus' past actions with certain things my Shepard had no problem working with them in ME2. He enjoyed it in fact, as it allowed freedom from Alliance nonsense.

And then he turns into a "Yes man" in ME3.

How about no.
