If with my feelings about Cerberus' past actions with certain things my Shepard had no problem working with them in ME2. He enjoyed it in fact, as it allowed freedom from Alliance nonsense.

And then he turns into a "Yes man" in ME3.

How about no.

How about no indeed. Mass Effect 3 would have increased replay value if we could act as pro-Cerberus or pro-Alliance, granted I don't think I could ever be pro-Alliance, but still...

I was really happy when people started saying that we could choose sides in ME3, but felt completely cheated when playing the game and realized I had to, once again, be the Alliance lap dog, you just can't say no to them. I'd have no problem teaming up with the Alliance in order to stop the reapers, however I would never accept being reinstated and taking orders from them again.

Ah yes "Technicalities". We have dismissed that claim. :P

There are several reasons why Shepard didn't want an official XO though for me. The first is there was simply no time or effort made to fill out a proper duty roster. Another is that Shepard had enough people second guessing him off the ship, that he didn't want anyone on the ship to question him. And lastly and most importantly, he was hoping Miranda would take the job.

I’m not sure the role of XO is well-defined here…it doesn’t really imply any allegiance (except, usually, to the CO). The XO isn’t an Alliance spy or whatever. The Executive Officer is the person who oversees the day-to-day operations on the ship, and executes the CO’s orders. It’s hard—though not impossible—to run a ship by yourself. Especially since Shepard is infantry, not fleet…

So, admittedly, I don’t see why you wouldn’t have an XO.

Yes, that's exactly how I feel. I think Cerberus was too far gone by lore standards, but I would have preferred working independantly from the Alliance.

There is simply too much bull**** involved with them.

And the saluting, my God the saluting.

"YES SIR!"

Realism went down the toilet. You can't even argue with them.

All Lance has done is prove he writes head canon at an incredibly fast pace. And GOOD stuff at that.

I was excited when I decided where my Shepard grew up.

Lance is already over here with inscribed rings and ****.

Miss Rose helped though, she has some great stuff coming on Thursday.

You certainly know how to make a man turn red Taboo. :P

Now, If only it was easier to write the head canon of my story. Trying to write scenes that are actually in the game is painfully slow. Blech.

Shepard reuniting with a cured Thane or bringing Miranda and Oriana on the Normandy? Easy as heck.

Now that I think about it, I think Oriana might not be a biotic. After the mess of Miranda, He might have created Oriana to be purposefully defenceless so she'd have more issues trying to escape.

The Biotics Miranda have also could be an unintended side effect like the tumors.

Yeah, see the thing is I have to work out all the details. Like how Miranda gets pants on. Everything is important.

Even the rooms where people are need to be visualized. But I get it done.

Some details however should be researched. I've done more research on issues with the female reproductive system than I ever thought I would. It's good to know though.

I don't want it to be medically inaccurate like Deception.

^ UGH.

Agreed. I got a PM of Priestly warning me about name calling, for a little while I thought I was the one banned. Still, despite everything I don't think it was Luis who ratted us, after all there was only one person who wanted this thread to get closed and it wasn't him.

That was a joke between Babi and myself.

I was simply sitting there imagining her getting on jeans while lying on her back on a bed. I've never seen them put on any other way.

Sometimes you need to help get them off too, and not for the reasons you're thinking.

Looking at the screens Jean Luc posted I had to legitimately sit there and think about it.

In regards to the XO, I thought at first it might have been Liara. Except she isn't human and is not technically Alliance. So it's not her. Same would go for EDI as she's merely the ship's AI. It can't be Adams I don't think because he's an Engineer and I doubt he'd know much about running a ship (more than Sam would, but still not enough). VS would make sense except for the aforementioned reason that they can be killed off (though how much that really matters I don't know). So I guess after crossing all those names off the list (including James whose job is to help maintain the Armory along with Cortez which would likely prevent fulfilling XO duties, plus he's probably too inexperienced for that position), it's most likely still either the VS or Joker (assuming the helmsman can also be XO).

How is the Adas? That looked neat too. It looks like the Sentinel version of my canon Shep gets to use those weapons first.

But yeah the Harrier is giving everyone hard ons it seems...

The Adas has the same 300% damage bonus against shields and barriers a the Reegar Carbine. The rounds it fires have a limited homing capability and they explode on contact. It'll kill a Ravager and all of it's Swarmers at the same time and it'll drop a Geth Prime in three clips on Insanity. The big drawback is that it's really inaccurate and it has small reserve clip.

The Reegar Carbine is your go-to gun for Vanguard Shepard. Give it the Shredder Mod and extended magazine mod and it'll tear through mooks. It's got a 300% damage bonus against shields and with Disruptor Ammo it'll rip straight through Kai Leng's plot armor on Thessia.

The Harrier's strength is that it'll put out anywhere from 900-1000 DPS per clip and it's as accurate as the regular Mattock. Combined with the extended barrel and magazine mods along with tthe Cerberus Assault Armor you'll have around 120 rounds in reserve.

Something along the lines of the Batarian soldier's Blade Armor. Miranda's omni-tool stores the pattern for her civilian clothing and can fabricate it around her when needed. It would be a handy thing to have for operations where you'd need to change quickly.

In ME3, I know Garrus isn't human and isn't Alliance, but he'd probably be the best XO with what we were given.

Quick update. Miranda died on Sanctuary. Shepard's dialogue in the shuttle was slightly altered to clarify that Henry kidnapped Ori.

I won't argue that. He would be better than Liara (I just thought of her first because she's guaranteed to be alive, plus she's Mac Walters' waifu and the Shadow Broker), but again I think the XO is supposed to be Alliance. Maybe someone should tweet one of the devs and ask who's the XO (assuming there is one).

Can't *definitely* be the VS. Because you can kill them at the coup or deny them access aboard the Normandy.
