If there's no official XO, I'm absolutely fine with headcanoning that it's Samantha. She does well enough throughout the game to show that she can handle it, even if she has no previous experience on ships.

Not to mention that since she's the LI for two of my FSheps, including my canon FShep, why not have her as XO?

Because having your Shepard putting the person they're sleeping with XO is irresponsible.

Although given the choice I would make Miranda the XO simply because she would be the best choice.

Not because Shepard is sleeping with her.

If only we had a choice to go and a Counter Offensive on our own. Not part of the Alliance at all, but you still have contacts with Anderson and Hackett.

It would look that way if you made her XO and you were romancing her at the same time.

Although people probably wouldn't question you. Garrus wouldn't, that's for sure.

Tali had more important responsabilities with the quiarians than with the Normandy. And you have no option to make her stay with the quarians. An admiral abandoning her responsabilities isn't something good.

Now that you mentioned it, wouldn't it have been more "Logical" for Tali to join the Migrant Fleet instead of staying on the Normandy?

I certainly missed Rupert. It seems he was hardcore Cerberus though, according to Weekes.

I was closer to the ME2 than the ME3 one.

Even people you got late in the game, like Thane or Samara.

But not Tali. She's just...there.

Tali is there for three reasons: 

1) Tali, along with Garrus, is depicted as one of the most loyal squadmates in the game.  
2) She feels she can be more useful aboard the Normandy than as a fledgling admiral.
3) Fan favorite.

Reason 3 is probably the strongest, but the other two points have merit.

The thing is, is that both Garrus and Tali can be dead. I see no reason for Bioware to dismiss DLC with the other squadmates based on this assessment. Miranda and Jacob had the highest survival percentage amongst the entire squad.

Miranda can be fixed.

Hell, even Jacob could be.

But Jack and Miranda are the two that come to mind the most.

Bioware isn't afraid of any of those fanbases.  I think they hesitate because they aren't quite sure what to do with her.  If they were going to make a DLC centered around Miranda (and perhaps throw in Jacob as well, since he's ex-Cerberus), they'd have to come up with a subplot within a subplot, likely revolving around sabotaging Cerberus and perhaps looking for information on Oriana.  

It could certainly work, but it would take some finagaling to fit with the established narrative.

Team Dextro and Team Blue got quite a bit. I think they'd be happy for us.

I'm thankful that Miranda was featured at all in the EC.

Apparently Omega is becoming a hub, as stated in the leaked files. But whether or not it's long term remains to be seen.

I'm still in the minority that likes the apartment sex scene.

I'd prefer a new one though if they were to include one.

Something similar to before, as everyone who's seen the one from ME2 remember it.

Maybe it would start with her taking off her boots. I've always wondered how difficult it would be.
