If Miranda doesn't have banter (all the squadmates do), then I don't want her as a squadmate. It would feel disjointed and cheap for her to remain dead silent on all those missions. I'd be fine if they tailored a mission (or series of missions) directly around her though.o Ventus wrote...

Well, he was basically built into the game as a squaddie, you just had to pay extra. Apparently adding additional full-time squad is not possible in ME3 (this was something Mr. Weekes stated on twitter).
I can only guess that this is due to the more robust banter system, as compared to ME2. (Adding a squaddie in ME3 would mean re-recording dialogue with every other squaddie for all missions.)
Having said that, it's really the type of thing we can't know much about. So... we'll see, I guess.
Assuming that a post-release DLC character would necessarily require an excessive amount of banter (or banter at all).

I think we discussed her taking over Allers spot.
You could go down there and visit her.
Or she could come visit you.
Everyone is going to know regardless.

It is strange actually, that she gets a full room with a bed while your best friends have to sleep in common rooms

Then give her more reactionary banter (like her combat banter in ME2) instead of just ambient chatter. She wouldn't need to speak to any of the other characters, and even if she does, just call in the actors to record new lines in reaction to Yvonne.

So does Liara, and she just sort of barges in and makes herself comfortable. Well, Tali does this too.

I'll be very happy when character faces get higher quality animation and higher polycounts.

Is this like an early, rejected version of Miri? Like, Henry was close to what he wanted, but ooops, this Miri had down syndrome? So he started over and created the Miri we all know and love?

It's not a fault with Miranda, it's a fault with the animation. Her smile is too symmetrical, and the lack of skin/muscle deformation around her cheeks makes the smile look a little fake. Again, this is a limitation of the technology, not something wrong with the character. To this day, very few games get "proper" facial animation. Uncharted and LA Noire are rare examples of realistic facial animation done right. Part of this is because realistic facial animation is extremely difficult and time consuming, but the next step is having more advanced technology and higher resolution models to help display it.MASSEFFECTfanforlife101 wrote...

You take things far too seriously. I know I've said this before, but just for your own benefit I'll say it again.
A slightly negative comment directed towards the subject area of Miranda Lawson is not an affront against you, nor is it anything else than what it appears to be.. a comment. I see no reason for you to make a fool of yourself in such a fashion, which, although nobody really mentions it, seems to be a general precursive understanding for those of us who frequent this thread.
Apologies for the harshness, but honestly, it's for your own good.
