As much as my canon doesn't make for a great dramatic story, I'm ok with it. Of course there is the somewhat long recovery process after Shepard is found, and then the helping with the rebuilding for a time, and a final "screw you" to the remainder of Cerberus. But after that it just gets simple. He and Miranda have worked in some form or another for their entire lives up until that point. Shepard has saved the galaxy multiple times. They deserve a break. Not necessarily a disappearing act, just a step out of the spotlight. A quiet place where they can just enjoy themselves and not work themselves to death. Literally.

A nice sentiment, but will the spotlight want to stop following them?

edit: Top Miranda, just because I haven't posted one in a long time.

Get in line. Everyone is doing that in their canon. Everyone.

Incredibly frustrating.

It's like when the guidebook says it's a quaint little neighborhood restaurant that only the locals know about.

And when you get there, there is a line of tourists out the door and around the corner.

I believe that with the galaxy practically in chaos and everyone focusing on rebuilding, Shepard won't be bothered all that much.

They could take Ori with them. New identities, fresh starts. For Shepard, creating instead of destroying. Figuring out how this crazy new world works.

Yes, I did like the end of The Dark Knight Rises.

Ah i see.....well, when you put it that way

The only problem is, well i'm quite sure that Shepard has a popular face so a fresh start might be hard to pull off even with new identities

Civilian: Are you Commander Shepard?

Shepard: No.

C: You sure? I mean, you and him kinda look... The exact same.

Haha, they could get a house on Aite. How they are going to get there I don't know, but paparazzi would stay away in fear that the moon is gonna crash into the planet.

But in all seriousness, perhaps not a disappearing act with their friends and more of a shadow from the rest of the galaxy. But I'd like to think, however unlikely, that with everything that Shepard's done, they at least have the respect to let him have a life. If not, a disapearing act it is. I'm not picky.

If you wanted to have something Similar to The Dark Knight Rises, with Shepard (Me, you and other Mirimancers around the World) and Miri eating somewhere, *SPOILER*

who would you want to spot them at the place, and not say a word of it?

Yeah, if I were Shepard, I'd be scared of that too. It was estimated to hit in, what, 200 or so years? With Miranda's extended life-span and Shepard's Lazarus implants, they might live to see it. I guess it's a bit... Phenominal that the planet dies along with the two of them.

I think Joker would be better.

It would mark the first time he notices something and doesn't have a spaz attack over it.

Hell, they could get a house on Rannoch with the quarians. Be next door neighbors to Tali and Garrus. :P

This, because Joker would end up blaming himself at the funeral, and get all emotional.

I dunno. There is a way to stay out of sight, while being in sight.

An organization founded would put both in the spotlight, but would also afford them a chance to go somewhere else when they weren't working.

Shepard has the right to go to some random planet on his week off or if you wanted to be real cheesy, and isolated base in Alaska or something.

The fact is, is that it's going to take ten to fifteen years to rebuild everything, Bioware stated this at the SDCC. They're going to be in the spotlight anyway, as they won't really be able to go anywhere.

They aren't the settle down type. They'll have a Citadel Apartment, a home in New South Wales, and an Illium apartment.

Along with the Intai'sei settlement.

And Cronos Station, after they've requisitioned it from the alliance.

But their main place of residence is going to be the Normandy.

Shepard owns an apartment yes? I never downloaded Pinnacle Station but I know Shepard can get one.

Also, why not get a hideaway AWAY from people. Some random planet that they can live on and be away from the world.

Shepard is going to need therapy, why not let them spend six months along in some garden world?

That actually sounds like a porno.

Shep and Miri make a porno was not the goal.

you know I was thinking about that! it would be the bar in Rio Jacab metions. He comes to the bar, sits there looks around, and he sees Shepard with Miranda. Shepard smiles and nods to Jacab and Jacab does the same as well.

Thinking back to that "Would Miranda pull the plug on Shepard" discussion...

Would Shepard be capable of doing that to Miranda?

Damn it, I got it mixed up again. That's 3 times within 15 minutes. I think I am going insane.

Why is this a discussion at all?

We have a funny way of depressing ourselves in this thread.

But if you need an answer......I don't know.

My Shepard never grew up on starships, he was earthborn. He joined the military to just experience something new and get out of the slums. He never really liked them. He likes the idea of settling down away from everyone. Miranda will take some convincing, but I think she'll enjoy the idea of a normal life. She always wanted one for Oriana, I don't see why she can't have one for herself.

But its just my head-canon for Riley. Everyone interprets their Shepard's differently.

Jeez, I type slow.

Skimming the thread, I saw "Shepard and Miranda make a porno" and "Would Miranda pull the plug on Shepard?" in rapid succesion.

What registered in my mind was something like "Would Miranda and Shepard pull the plug on each other after making a porno?"

I wasn't sure how to respond... Posted Image

Now that's a discussion.

... It's also the plot to A Serbian Film.

What have I done... *shudder*

As I said a few pages ago, I think she'd need encouragement from Garrus or Kaidan or Tali.

This is something that might worth of dlc of seeing the origins of everyone's Shepard in action
