BTW, I'm currently playing Alpha Protocol. If I only had that gameplay in a game set in the ME universe. It's my favorite kind of game, even though the implementation is not perfect.

Miri is who I fight for the most. It would be complete devastation to see her die. She is the who keeps me going in battle.

As my Video Game sweetheart (I know that may sound freaky), I cannot let her die.

And if Miri is in peril, I will drop everything and do everything in my power to save her from doom.

But i think you may have missed the point of being a spectre. As saren said in revalation. "Its simple math but not everyone can do it" and i know not everyones shepards play through may even be a spectre any more. But i guess i would have to be in that position.

I can't do it. I won't do it. Miri is my one and only in ME. Her dying would be highly painful. 

I doubt BW would make such a heartbreaking decision conflict.

In fact, after LotSB came out (and before seeing ME3 demos with Liara on Shepard's squad), there was a lot of worry that Liara was going to be stuck on "that dumb barge".  People were afraid the most we could hope for was that she'd be a frequent quest-giver or someone we could borrow once in a while (leaving Feron behind to run things).

I have the impression her fans prefer having her on the ship with lots of dialogue/romance even if it's at the expense of her having a pivotal role in the plot (which she certainly was/is set up for). I might be projecting my own preference there though (with regard to both Liara and Miranda).

I understand. And i like miranda too. But to me when my shepard took the "oath" of being a spectre it meant having to make the choices that no one else can make. But again if im in a room and im talkin to her on a live link like the end of armageddeon and i have to look into her face and either choose killing her to save thousands or saving her. I might save her

What's to explain? I find most of the non-squad characters unlikeable for one reason or another. It's akin to wantingthe monster to kill the token jerk in a horror movie. Only, for me, there are a lot of jerks.

A brutal and heartbreaking decision to be sure, and one on which people will widely disagree. For which reason I'll be shocked if it doesn't show up in ME3

For additional tragedy, the more people you sacrifice to save your friend or LI (whether Miranda or someone else), the greater the likelihood that she herself will be too angry/guilt-ridden to continue the relationship with you. Though, at some point - especially if she doesn't *want* to be saved at such an expense, and you do it anyway - I suppose this simply starts crossing over into selfishness.

Beat it. Would have had more impact if I hadn't been playing a cold-blooded bastard. But Marburg dies next time.

That choice was easy. Madison is annoying as hell. Too bad I never have enough dossier to kill Marburg.

Speaking about Miranda vs the mission, I would tell civilians to go **** themselves too. No way in hell I'm going to let my favourite character die. A person who's close to me will always be more important than thousands of strangers. It's also very in-character. My Shepard doesn't value the lives of others, but he'll do anything to save his comrades. It's the food chain. The more Shepard likes you, the higher are your chances of survival.

What's this obsession with guilt? I have never understood it. I'd be glad to be alive, that's for sure. Also I make no excuses for not valuing all lives equally. Sadly, it is impossible to selectively kill the idiots. People like Delan from Horizon, for instance. 
I think Shepard deserves one indulgence for saving the rest of the galaxy. Again, I make no excuses for it. I do not expect, however, that we will be put in a position where we cannot win.

No, that would not be interesting, that would force an unhappy end - death or break-up. About the last thing I want in ME3. Also I need Miranda to deal with Cerberus. She is not expendable.

They would be fools to lie. Especially with LI matters. They would lose many fans.

Why the hell would they make a conclusion that would have you lose your LI, whether it would be death or her/him hating you?

It's been said 100xtimes that there would be progression with all LI's in ME3.
They wouldn't say that if it meant an LI would die (100% of the time) or get indoctrinated etc...
