It's Thrusday! And as promised I have uploaded several new pieces of XNALara art to my Deviant Art page. 

All of them focus around Post-ME3 times. Approximately 5-7 years after the ending events of Mass Effect 3. They all have a common theme; Shepard, Miranda, and their currently unnamed son, together.

Chronologically speaking 3 out of 4 of the images occur on the same day, so variety isn't too prominant. But I hope you enjoy the small differences. As Taboo has mentioned, it is the emotion they provoke that counts.

I was going to link them all seperately through this post, but decided it would be better just to provide you one link and you can browse as you so please.

I didn't do any post-processing of this image, so it is entirely raw from XNALara, with the exception of the in-program lighting adjustments. I hadn't originally planned to post it but I figured since it was done, there was no harm in sharing with you guys. Thought it was a nice plain portrait of them, and little Shepard just looked so adorable. 

This little video served as inspiration for all these images (as well as several conversations here), and I'm not afraid to admit that it makes me tear up everytime I see it. So far warning if you haven't watched it before.

Anyhoo, I hope you like the pictures. I certainly enjoyed making them.

Weekes wants to do something with the ME2 team. I still consider the idea unlikely and not particularly worth my time for that reason. Find it best to work with what I have. The EC, Datapad, and emails rehabbed the character. I think Petrovsky might mention her, but that's it.

Actually, if you've checked DA recently, there is now. 

As for the second part, Shepard likes to steal the blankets when he's sleeping. Because of it, Miranda purposefully kicks him off the bed. 

The biggest irritant they have with one another?

She hogs the covers.

He drinks from the carton.

Weekes is a part of the DLC team jtav. If he's tossing around ideas it may happen, seeing as they put him in charge of parts of the EC, including the slides.

In fact he's the reason Miranda has anything at all.

BTW, the Anderson dialogue is actually put into the game. You get it if you have no love interest in the game. If you lock in for anyone, then the dialogue doesn't appear. I remember someone told me about it (I think it was Ventus

jtav really doesn't make a habit of thinking positively. You get used to it

Unfortunately, she's also right quite a bit. But... anyway. We do what we can. What happens happens.

As long as you guys keep beating the drum, you never know. Right now they have to do mission/story stuff because the majority of the fanbase is still interested, but over time that'll get whittled away to just the hardcore fans. At that point, they might have to do character stuff, if that's what you're all interested in.

Unfortunately, there aren't any models for girl children. I'd love to make a photo with a girl, but I simply don't have the resources. I was lucky enough to find a little boy. It seems that naked models are more popular than those of kids. Sorry. If someone makes a girl model someday I'll make a photo, but until then a little boy it has to be.

I can only Imagine Miri's reaction if she actually did become pregnant. She'd be incredibly happy.

Just think of Ori's reaction when finding out she's going to be an Aunt. Tears of happiness.

So much so that it's become a drinking game and people anticiapte my arrival in any Miranda thread in the story forum.

They still haven't figured I do it as a joke but at least it gets more attention for Miranda.

I'm willing to do that, as I'd rather do something than nothing at all.

Bioware's m.o. is actually to respond to its fans, generally speaking. So, more content is not implausible. It's also not guaranteed, but it's certainly worth it to keep at it.

It's not so much pessimism as assuming they will act as they have acted in the past. I don't become negative without a reason. I didn't start swearing loudly until LOTSB. But I have limited time and prefer to concentrate on a) fixing Miranda and maing sure they know they screwed up so it doesn't happen again.

Quite a bit, yes. I've been intentionally keeping that a bit on the backburner, though. Mainly my reasoning for that is that the "fan project" phase that was happening there for a while (with the posters and everything) has probably had whatever impact it is going to have for the moment.

We have this material, so it can be like an ace in the hole. I'd like to see how things play out a bit post-EC, though, first.

The DLC was great, of course. What she means is that it was the beginning of Miranda being sidelined and turned into a character who was primarily concerned with Orianna. jtav foresaw a lot of what was in ME3 on the basis of that DLC, including Miranda having a very reduced role.

Moral of the story: I don't always agree with jtav, but I always listen to her.

Maybe, but it can't hurt to push for it. At least that way, if they won't do it it isn't because we weren't loud enough.

LOTSB worked because it followed up on a story element introduced earlier in the game.  What would the plot for Miranda be?  What threads could be followed up on?  Cerberus is pretty much already completed in-game, a cerberus mission for her would be extraneous. 

Now if she were allowed to go to cronos in EDI's place...

Yeah, I wanted to comment on this. A Miranda fanbook of the kind we're putting together would be a nice incentive, wouldn't it? And perhaps it's best to send it before any decision is made.

"Acting as they have in the past" meaning they won't make a DLC that excludes even a sliver of the potential playerbase. Which means she'd be optional, which means they can't really use her as a focal point the way Liara was.

That picture is wonderful. I can only imagine Miri trying to get used to being called "Mom" or "Mommy" after hearing Miranda, Operative Lawson, and Miss Lawson throughout her life.


Ori was created to replace Miri, right? Meaning she isn't sterile, right? Would Ori becoming a surrogate mother be another option to mind to mind for Miri?
