Though no doubt she would soon realize the only way to work through it was to live her life as well as she could - which she already tries to anyway, and which hopefully means not staying angry at Shepard forever. Hm. If Miranda woke up one morning and found out that Shepard had just let a star system be wiped out in order to save her life, then no, it's not rational to expect her to feel guilt over that. She didn't have any input into the decision. Although I submit that most people are going to be at least upset knowing something like that anyway. As you say, there's no way to just put all the morons in that star system before blowing it up.

(As an aside, I had a good laugh in "Atlas Shrugged" when Ayn Rand fills a train with three hundred people and explicitly says "they were all looters and moochers, anyway" before entombing it inside a mountain tunnel. If only life were so convenient.)

OTOH, what if Miranda is standing there next to Shepard when he/she has to make this decision? I can't imagine her saying, "Yes, I'm objectively worth more than these fifty billion people." Nor would she merely adbicate the decision to Shepard, especially if she knows it might be influenced by his/her feelings for her. If she does want to be saved, then while she's not directly responsible for all those deaths (the Reapers are), she still affected the outcome.

I don't know how I'd answer in her place - I'm sure I couldn't until it happened. Objectively speaking, it's simple math. But, as you quoted from Hume, we're subjective creatures.

You have to do a number of things prior to meeting him that build up your reputation as a crazy person that doesn't take anything seriously, and then continue to agitate him from there onward, you will have the opportunity to kill him if you've managed to ****** him off enough.

Yes, they are.  They're my favorite squad as well.  Miranda, Liara and Shepard.  I can't wait to have Miranda and Liara in the same squad.  I think they could be best friends?

LOTSB does acknowledge your  with Miranda


And really LOTSB is about Liara and Shepard.  I took Miranda along but she (or any other squadmate) is pretty much a 3rd wheel

I took Grunt on that trip as I recall. Told him he had no excuse for napping while his battle master took on something out of Dragon Age.

Yeah, but.. Seeing her crushed.....and not going to her aid right away is just awful, like stabbing her in the back.
She lays there in pain while you fight that thing.

Huge Yagh, armed with a freaking revenant. I don't blame Shepard for not rushing to Miranda's side. Gotta neutralize the immediate threat first.
I just don't like watching him protect Liara and not Miranda.

You mean he just pushes him and liara out of the way and lets Miri take the hit? That's crossing the line!

Miri is my LI. Didn't bioware think this through, "Wait, what if they bring their LI with them?"
