Cheerfully.;)

But I do think having a Bucky/Coulson is a good idea and I tend to default to my favorites so it isn't malicious. Garrus or Liara work too. I'd cut down on the deaths in general and stick with one or two.

And Shepard dies for the sake of the ending because it's part of the two I like best.

Time to deploy Agent Coulson Shepard:

I  really liked Mordin's death because he went out after getting closure for his work with the Genophage. Miranda and Thane's deaths seem like they exist to make Kai Leng appear intimidating  (psst it didn't work).

I'd have given her Legion's death. Not the exact one, but have her die reversing integration. And then one of the slides would be men and women wearing the Project Phoenix emblem surrounding a statue of Miranda.

Ummmm, is that what it's called in the game, or just a phrase you're using.  Because you may want to pick a different phrase...

Why can't you just have Shepard and Miri flying off in the Normandy with the whole galaxy in front of them?

What's better than either character's death's?
The one where they both live and reunite to do awesome stuff together.
And it's much more romantic.

Integration is Cerberus' euphemism for the indoctrination process it uses.

Ah, fair.  To those of us who don't know that, it sounded like you wanted her to reverse this.

Which would be an interesting legacy for Miri...

No, the character that needed a death scene was Liara. I'm sorry but every other character, even Garrus, has had the ability to die.

Liara can't bite it unless you FAIL at the game.

Miranda deserved better than what she got, especially since she was the poster child for ME2.

My ideal scenario would go something like this.

Sanctuary has no Leng. Miranda confronts her father and comes aboard the Normandy. She made an extraordinary discovery. Her father used Lazarus as the basis for his work, and Miranda can reverse it, but you need to escort her to the central lab and the master control unit. Miranda interjects on Cronos as appropriate. Leng is leading the defense of the station and tries to stop you repeatedly (multi-stage boss fight). During the last, he wounds Miranda, but she manages to drag herself to the control unit. From here, one of three things happen.

Failure (didn't do Miranda's LM): Miranda not only fails to reverse integration, she gets rapidly indoctrinated. Shepard must kill her.
Bittersweet (no Alliance resources): Miranda succeeds, but the combination of her wounds and exhaustion leave her near death. She lives just long enough to see that it worked and tell
Shep goodbye. +75 WA from Cerberus troops.
Success (you jumped through all the hoops and passed a difficult persuade): Miranda does not die, and leads the troops into battle. +100 WA from troops and Miranda.

If Miranda were to die in-canon, I would prefer it be something like Bill's death in The Sacrifice campaign for Left 4 Dead (and that game has the barest of storylines). Of course, not the same in terms of actual execution, but for what the death stands for. Bill dies so that Francis, Zoey, and Louis can escape the infected and live somewhere without fear of the infected. If Miranda were to die, it should mean something.

Actually now that I think about it, the comic version of the Sacrifice is probably a better way to put Bill's death into context than the in-game campaign. It's also a surprisingly good read.

The scene were she survives really isn't all that rewarding. You get what amounts to a brief embrace and then poof. No more Miranda.

And even then we still only get a less than satisfactory goodbye, compared to people like Tali.

What I wouldn't give for one of those...

Phew. Large chapter (by my standards anyway :P) is now complete.

If you spot any grammatical errors...you can go to hell. My brain is fried now.
Seriously, though, it should all be good. Only mistakes might be typos as you can never seem to get all of them.

I'm not sure why, but this shrug is adorable.

The day they do "sex scene DLC" is officially the day I become uncomfortable as a ME gamer.

The trouble with Miranda is that her actual impact warrants neither having the largest role of any ME2 team member not on the squad nor the difficulty of her survival. For what she actually does in-game, something more like one conversation and a loyal check is more appropriate. Her survival should shape the Cerberus plot if it's that difficult.

As I've said before I don't mind the thing in the apartment.

But people keep saying that they want "a real love scene".

They can certainly put one in a Miranda DLC but I sure won't buy it for that.

That would be okay.  Would it work in conjunction with the apt scene?  I wouldn't want that scene replaced, it's good!

I was one of the people saying that (and will continue to do so). Compare Miranda's ME3 scene with Ashley's, or hell, with the engine room scene in ME2. They don't need to show us the actual intercourse, I can imagine how that went myself. It (understandably) makes one feel cheated when the person he chooses to romance has a fade-to-black, but another character has a full scene with work put into it.

Shepard just magically teleporting out of the room and the door locking itself (as well as Miranda just disappearing) is the final insult.

I think an afterglow scene is more needed. Just let them talk, as a couple.

So if BW put out a DLC pack that contained "a mission that ended in a love scene" for all the acharacters that currently dont have one (ex: Miranda.Jack,Thane) would you buy that?
