Affirming the romance twice is the norm, including with Miranda. Telling a player about infertility after lock-in strikes me as unfair.
The player was already told via the dossier, and the romance is only available on import. So, it's really not a problem. The conversation could even be written so that Shepard already knows.
You're overthinking it. What you're saying might apply were this a new element, but it isn't.

... Your point being what exactly? No other choice in the game lets you backtrack and repick, so why should this be a special case?
I don't even want to think about it.
"Oh, you cant have kids to the best of your knowledge? Bye!"
Terrible.

HOLY CRAP! I'M SHEPARD AND MIRI'S CHILD! XD lol Oh god. My sides hurt.
Anyways, Let me clarify. I'm ok with the apartment scene as its a nice scene and is filled with 'Awww' moments. Its the fact that you're dumped outside very abrutply. It feels like I skipped a few mins or something.
Now, if there was a post-Sanctuary scene on the ship with Ori onboard and Miranda visits Shepard's cabin and they talk, I would be welcome to it because IT REWARDS THOSE WHO SAVED HER. I also want to see Miranda next to Shepard in bed after the nightmare reasuring him. That's my favorite part of most of the ME3 romances with Kaidan's Dinner coming in second.
Its just that an intimate scene usually acompanies that. I'm not complaining as long as it isn't a rehash on Liara's as that goes to softcore porn pretty much. I would not complain about a model swap of Ashley's Intimate Scene.
Moving on, I think I've officially decided I want to rewire ME3 for myself and post it. I could improve upon the basic outline of the base game (Like, The Citadel Coup still happens but its to open the Citadel Relay and that's where the Reaper Invasion starts in the mid game.
I also have a great idea on how the last level will go. Wheee.

I'm a little selfish here. Not that I'd choose it, but the ability to access DLC is new for me. So I'm imagining myself finding out for the first time after lock-in. You don't have to do LOTSB.
A lot of prior content is optional. A negligible number of people might get that far without already knowing about it, but really, so what?
You would just have a mature dialogue with Miranda and decide that you'd deal with the problem together after the war, if you both survive and want to start a family. It's simple, really.

Shepard doesn't have to rub her nose in it--just move it to before lock-in. Note that turning down lock-in has nothing to do with the chip.
I don't think that's really a better choice. But... if it were done that way, ok, I guess. Whatever.
I'll just deal with it as it comes

Is there more dialogue if you don't choose the "Shut up and kiss me" choice?
Once you pick that you're locked in.

DLC where you convince Ashley to undergo cosmetic surgery in an effort to look like Miranda?Taboo-XX wrote...
Would you support this in future DLC? People really seem to want it...
...where can I buy it?
You have to buy it in a bundle.
And it's Liara who gets the surgery.
And all of the dialoge is written by Mac Walters.
Only 10000 MSP or a ****load of USD!
that $125 bucks would be well spent.

Why not give people the chance to break her heart? It's a good RP opportunity. I'd comfort her, but not every Shep would.
I don't play as often as some of you here or write as fast.
There is only one Shepard for me, with certain variants. Such as a different class. I have only really ever played as a Vanguard. I'm starting a whole new playhthrough of the games as a Sentinel, but I won't change much.
There is one finite story that I want. OCD plays a part in it but I really don't care.
Same here. I'm even more limited than you. Every playthrough I've ever done, minus the one Femshep I did, is Commander John Shepard, with a different background and service history (though the main is Earthborn, Sole Survivor), Soldier, Paragade, Cerberus Sympathizer. Really the only things I change in my stories apart from the background is the VS. They all romance Miranda. Only Miranda.
As for my FemShep, Commander Jane Shepard, Spacer, War Hero, Paragon, alliance poster girl, and Kaidanite.
Haven't yet uploaded to ME2 yet.

Same here, more or less, only my main canon is a Sentinel with Spacer/Sole Survivor. Hell, even my "spinoff" Soldier Shepard is roughly the same, just with Spacer/War Hero.

Not much of a roleplayer, really. I like to see the different choices and discuss them. But I don't really try to create a specific Shepard personality and backstory.

So, over the course of however many years I've been playing, I've focused on one Sheprard, and I'm rather pleased with how he turned out.
I would rather have one great Shepard, then five mediocre, hastily compiled ones.
But I do mix up the dialogue here an there. But the one thing that I miss the most are the smartass renegade comments that were in ME2. They are replaced in ME3.
And it sucks.

ME3 Renegade comes in two flavors, "Mentally disturbed sociopath" or "War criminal". Take your pick.

Truth be told, the best smartass comments were in the first game.
Well not the best, but there were a lot of great ones.

I don't understand. I voted for "Smartass", "Troll" and "Pragmatism".
I thought I was voting correctly.
Are you aware that there excuse is the war is stressing Shepard out? That that's what explains you either beind a teddy bear or a war criminal?
I thought Shepard was level headed or something? I guess not?

"I was born in London."
"REALLY?"
Yes, you were only told this a short time ago.
"This isn't about strategy or tactics!"
"We fight or we die!"
It's nice to know my Shepard's ten plus years of military experience has done him some good as well.

Sheploo was never that brilliant. Miranda basically had to tell him which kind of person to pick for each part of the suicide mission.Taboo-XX wrote...

Do you have an actual plan, by any chance?
