*If* Miranda appears, I expect her to have a brief cameo, maybe allowing Petrovsky to defect instead of die. She won't be a focal point.

I don't see them bringing Yvonne back without her having a major role in a DLC pack, unless they want to hire some random VA that sounds like Yvonne, which wouldn't even be worth putting her in it.

She'd need to come back for a major DLC. They wouldn't pay a fee for a cameo.

They would spend millions of dollars like they did with LotSB. It would need to be meaty.

Well, Miranda can certainly be an impact character. I do see the logic of using her that way, and that's what would make paying the fee worthwhile.

I guess it's not impossible that they might arrange for some sort of cameo or small role in order to flesh out areas of her story that are obviously lacking. But it's true that this feels like a bit of a stretch. Especially because I think the fee is usually per session. So, recording a few lines only is a complete waste.

That doesn't make business sense. I think it would be far more beneficial to set a date and a contract to ensure content is done at one time, and the fee is one lump sum.

That way there are no arguments over time spent doing X and time spent elsewhere. It would also be easier on everyone involved time wise.

And yes, it is more than possible to work on multiple things at once.

If they bring Miri back, it'll be for a full presence in a DLC.  There's no point to her popping by to say hello for 10 seconds (yvonne gets paid eithe way).

Oh, I agree. If she comes back, a substantial role seems more likely for practical reasons.

On the other hand, that's what I want. So, I try to be sure it's not only wishful thinking

But... I think that does make more sense.

From what I've seen of Omega DLC chat, people seem more pro-Aria than even considering adding Miranda. Very Sad

I'd rather have a DLC be Miranda focused. No Aria or anything.

That way, she can shine like she did in ME2 without all the cluster**** that came post ME2.

And if it was written by Weekes I think it could be incredibly moving too.

Absolutely. This is coming from the same guy who wrote Mordin's scene. It'll be great, if it happens, and he writes it; and him alone.

That would certainly be my ideal scenario B)

More Miranda cosplay. Pretty cool...

It's very frustrating to me, as a player to see such great things like Mordin's scene be in the game, have such a powerful effect and then have things like Kai Leng thrown in my face.

The closest word I can think of is "flawed masterpiece". That's a word they use in the film world to describe something that COULD have been a masterpiece but is bogged down by some horrendous sections and such.

There are so many great moments but they are overshadowed by some really, really dumb things.

I'd love a full fledged DLC of Miranda, and I speak for everyone here, I think.

You do. My wallet would spit bills out.

It would technically be points but still. I thought Microsoft was going to start using actual currency though. No more MSP.

Anyway, I'm still pondering what Shepard would say to Oriana when they first meet. She's a blank slate. Anything is possible.

I think the first time they talk, Shep should point out that he helped save her from Henry Lawson three years in the future. When she's 19.

Or just ask for embarrassing Miranda stories. Do you think she has embarrassing Miranda stories? The email and the dossier make it seem like they talk, but the mission made it seem like they were meeting for the first time. I'm missing something here obviously...

The SB Dossier only displays that message if you convince her to talk to her. Oriana knows more than she lets on but to be honest I don't think they know much. If you notice, Miranda really doesn't know how to talk to her. She talks to her like she's quoting from a book.

If anything, they'll be strangers when they meet.

*Is pleased that he snuck a Bowie reference in his post*.

Yeah, as Taboo suggests, it's probably like that because she may be meeting her for the first time at that point, depending on choices in the prior game.

They just did the scene so that it could theoretically fit either scenario, I think.

Slow thread is slow. Topics? Ideas?

I can ruin someone's day with news I heard about a movie star! It's a good one!

Well we can always post about what we talk about :bandit:

Miranda is a biotic masseuse for Shepard and it really calms him down, and riles him up.

Though Miranda is always left feeling rather drained afterwards.

They don't really delve into Miranda's biotics side too much.

Oh no this is really bad news. Like it will ruin peoples image of said actor. This is EXACTLY the kind of thing I've talked about in here.

Regardless, I still haven't quite figured out biotics and time length. Too much stress WILL cause damage yes? A hemorrhage of some sort?

This is evidenced by the bloody nose Miranda gets when she creates the barrier in the SM?

Tell me Taboo! PM me if you must, but I want to know!!

Also, why would you use Miranda for the biotic bubble? You can't use her in your squad then!!

Dawg...

This is some awful news. Like childhoods are going to be ruined. I laughed REALLY hard when I saw the article.

I wouldn't put Miranda on the bubble as she isn't as powerful as Samara is. Someone will die if it happens.

It involves an actor acting in a Lars von Trier movie.

It is bad. Do you really, really want to know?

When it says to Shepard that he was part synthetic and would die, that was a lie, perhaps was his final appeal so that Shepard wouldn't consider that an option.

The Catalyst doesn’t say that Shepard is part synthetic and will die. Which proves that it was a successful appeal/red herring.
