Ohh and even my Sam&Steve thread I link to in my signature has Miranda support: social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/325/index/13290987 So yeah, do your research first Babi_Siha before lying again

Well, you're the one who wrote that Miranda didn't deserve more content and then argued that she had major role in ME2. And anything with your name on it I won't bother. If you think I lied, I don't care, but everything I said I was based on what you post here.

Even if you are chill, your words need to convey that. One of the limitations of a messageboard, unfortunately.

Plus, Isaac had already simmered down, so I see no need to revisit the whole thing.

I did have a thought...but I forgot. I was trying to think up 'scenarios' from Miranda's past to tie into my fic, as I'm considering including some flashbacks, but coming up a little short in what exactly to use. Don't want to just have 'he made her fight and get hurt a lot to train her biotics' nor do I want to steal other people's ideas.

...so, give me some ideas to steal. :P

I'm always chill. Always, even if doesn't appear that way.

All we know is that the emotional abuse was pretty severe. A lot of her issues stem from that. So if you look at things from that perspective, you're going to see a lot of belittling, a lot of focused anger at her failures.

These could be something as simple as not letting her have friends to something more verbal. That being said, it is also noteworthy that she is not a biotic via implant, she was made that way.

Her father would have subjected her to it. Injections and everything. Very painful.

A terrible life to say the least.

Well, Taboo-XX didn't write anything that I read that would suggest he wasn't chill.

But back to Miranda, I wanted to write a fic about her days before the events of ME: Galaxy, but never got to starting writing and probably never will since lately I lost my will to write and read fics. I did come up with a few ideas, if you'd like I can try to help you. What event are you thinking to include in the flashback scene?

As of the Biotics, I could totally see her father hiring someone to teach Miranda to control her powers. In my head, she had control of her biotics, but never really had to use the biotics as a weapon until she escaped.

Well, we don't know that much about the details.

She succeeded more than she failed, though, as that is the only way she would have survived. But he would have kept pushing her until finally she rebelled and escaped.

The escape part would interesting to know more about, as it cannot have been easy.

The biotics are an interesting question. It's possibly just a continuity error and she is intended to be a natural biotic, I guess. But it might also have been the result of a dangerous procedure later on. That's not really mentioned anywhere, but it's an interesting idea.

Oh, dear. Guess I should have been clearer with my words. The 'you' was hypothetical. I know Taboo is pretty chill, daawwwwg.

Anyway, onto to the topic...

Since I'm trying to be a fancy pants, smart alec writer, I wanted to somehow try and tie it in to 'what's happening' with him in ME3. Maybe that could involve the nodule implant surgery thing as a theory on how Miranda gained biotic abilities. Don't want to go stepping on Ieldra's toes though.

Think I might have to brainstorm some stuff and run it by you wonderful chaps.

I haven't done much reading on the subject but most people use chips in their skulls.

Miranda is that way naturally. She was molded into one. The same thing happened to the Asari. They too are naturally Biotic.

The question is how Henry put this into a little girl and what kind of things she was subjected to. That's not something I take any particular pleasure in thinking about.

Well, Ieldra is certainly the one to ask about the various options. I think he's used the idea of some type of surgery in the past, yeah.

There are quite a few ideas out there, actually. Including her biotics just being part of her genetic engineering, and early eezo exposure.

The opening scene with her and Wilson is still one of my favorites. I knew as soon as I saw Miranda that it was...ahem..."go time."

The funniest video is where she essentially lays down the requirements.

"Everyone on this ship needs to know that you're mine."

She is so serious about it too. The look on her face when she says it is priceless.

I also guess I should have been specific with the scene I was talking about, which is the one where she guns Wilson down for being a traitorous bathturd.

I was in love, dawg.

I got that. Some people here were smitten the first time their Shepard saw her.

I had been exposed to her before I started playing the first two Mass Effects, but once I started talking to her I was sold completely.

That was...three years ago I think.

The obviously tried to make Ashley like her in ME3 and I was suprised when I first saw the concept art.

But I've always stuck with Miranda.

I'm was interested...very interested when I first saw her, but I was completely sold when she shot him. It told me she was no nonsense, and I like that. A LOT.

When you have a job to do you do it. I feel the same way. It should also be done as efficiently as possible.

Mistakes are not acceptable.

But that isn't the part of Miranda I like the most.

No one is sympathetic to terra firma. They're idiot reactionists.
