Do you think Miranda is sympathetic to Terra Firma?

She states that Xenophobia is a poor excuse for joining Cerberus. She also more than willing to work with Aliens.

Even TIM works with Aliens. What you're suggesting is an Isolation policy. You can't make progress without some form of integration.

Ashley says the Terra Firma Party was founded on good ideals and strayed away from that...somewhat like Cerberus, but from what I've read about Terra Firma, its seems that it has always been about being xenophobic. They certainly don't stop their more radical members from be boisterous, either.

Yes Nihlus I got the joke but I didn't have a bad ass picture to use with it.

But were you cautious when you saw her as well?

I really wish there was a middle way between "Aliens are scum" and "We need to make nice with the galactic community." I really hate the Citadel government but I think alien cultures are neat.

Then hate the government and like the people. That's how most people see it. Most of the politicians in Mass Effect are incredibly incompotent. Even the miliraty leaders are.

But the people are great.

THEY are the ones that need support, not the leaders.

IMO, the original council was just the most powerful species entering into an alliance to keep themselves at the top, and let humanity into the club because they had the potential to get them down on their own. They did the same with the Turians. It's like a monopoly on power.

Take Microsoft for example. They ensured that they stayed at the top by buying out the competition. Something that could threaten their business and steal customers comes up, but before it really becomes a threat, they buy them out and make it their own.

When the chips were down, they all looked out only for their own species. As far as I know, all the species were trying to secretly get a leg up on the others. In fact, nothing Cerberus did surprises me or Shepard in the long run. Each race was doing the exact same stuff. The Salarians were performing experiments on lesser races, and secretly uplifting them to use as potential red herrings to scare the other races. The Asari hoarded Prothean technology for their own benefit. The Turians never did anything really devious, but they were the most militaristic and held a colonial view of the galaxy, not dissimilar to the Prothean Empire.

I agree, EDI's remarks on how most Batarians she's met on the Citadel are kind when the Hegemony isn't breathing down their necks makes me wish we got to see a little more of their culture beyond all of the slavers, mercenaries, and pirates in the previous games.

On the subject of Terra Firma and Cerberus I give you Admiral Bosch from the game Freespace 2 he was TIM before TIM even existed.

I LOVE how Miri appears closer to the Viewer, and stands in the Center of the Picture:wub:. That's the way it should be;).

Actually, Luis is technically correct. People will generally look to the center of the frame first. Therefore Miranda will be noticed first.

This is why they have things jump out from the left or right of the screen to scare you. You aren't ready for it.

Plus Miranda's like the only one who isn't covered up. I guess Jacob and Garrus too, but they're off to the side. Miri is front AND center.

He said Miranda looks closer than the other characters. I understand Miranda being the focal point.

I wonder if the Artist was a Miri Fan? Even in the Squad Menu Screen, she is almost in the Center.

Luis the point is to draw attention. Miranda is that way because she's one of the highlights of ME2.

Which makes her participation in ME3 all the more ridiculous.

Does that litho make anyone else nostalgic? Ah, the days when I had my true companions at my back!

not to mention that the center is also the brightest part of the picture: eyecatch.

I think I remember seeing that painted on some giant wall in the BioWare headquarters... wonder how they could come to work every morning, look at it, and continue writing what we saw in ME3...

It certainly brings me back to the days when I was on the Xbox some two or three years ago.

Patiently awaiting for the glory that was to be ME3 and the hope that Miranda would be there too.

Boy was I wrong.

Its not over yet.
There is still hope that BioWare can deliver.

On this topic, what squadmates would you have chosen to be in ME3 (as squaddies)?
I assumed it would be something like:
Ash/Kaidan
Garrus
Tali
Liara
Miranda
Mordin (I understand why not him though, his story arc is great and he's not an LI)
Jacob (even though I thought he was lame)
And then a few others depending on the plot

Though I never saw Thane coming back. He was always terminal from what I could tell.
