Actually replacing it yes. I don't want to say why because the scene may get scrapped, but Miranda would have a problem other than infertility in her past.

Shintonial Abraxas?

No.

Okay, okay, if you must know, she had a child and it died years ago. Not sure if the scene will make it in.

gah...

Given the headcanon of you various mirimancers, I'm starting to understand why bioware made her the character that dies tragically...

You should hear our theories on how Henry Lawson wanted to have an incestuous relationship with his daughters to keep the bloodline pure.

Officially denying any involvement in that one.

That’s highly AU…I’m personally not one for that (at all), but I suppose it could be interesting if your readers are aware of the possibility.

Edit: damn it, now I’m thinking about ways to fudge it in without outright retconning the canon. Nobody said the SB info is unforgeable, after all…

To be fair, look up Lazarus Long. Can you blame anyone for getting deja vu?

And it's not headcanon, but a potentially useful retcon since the ventkid has a larger role.

Fic author has a question:

Is it problematic to retcon away Miranda's infertility and replace it with another problem?

Absolutely OK if you ask me.

Hey, don't over-represent that. People get the wrong impressions. That came up a year ago or so and never again IIRC.

Off Topic (Sorry:(): I'm going back to ME2 in NG+ of My Story soon. Are Hardcore and Insanity meant for those who want to enjoy the Story, or for people just wanting a Challenge? I don't know if I should stick with Veteran (Normal in ME2). How hard is ME2 on Hardcore? I'm on Lv. 30, and I'm a Vanguard. My attempts to play ME2 on Insanity were just awful, and painful. I gave up on Horizon (ME2).

My Attempt to play ME3 on Insanity wasn't too bad, but I only went as far as Mars. The problem I have with Insanity in ME3 is wondering what will Happen next in My Story? After Insanity, there are no more Difficulty Levels. Do I go back down a level.

I also do not like Dying too much, and I do not like seeing My Squad die. That caused me to panic in ME2.

Thoughts?

Just do it on Normal Luis. No one here will look down on you as weak if you play on Normal

I only play on Insanity. I actually played through ME3 the first time on Insanity and it was painfully easy.

You shouldn't have an issue if you're level 30. I would move it up one level if you want to be challenged a bit more though.

^ I don't really want a Challenge. I mostly want to enjoy the Story. I get enough Challenges playing on Gold a lot in MP in ME3. Don't get me started with Platinum.

Honestly, what's the actual point of Hardcore and Insanity?

I actually want to have fun with the Story, and not have to worry about how hard the next mission is going to be.

Well, there's nothing wrong with playing on Normal or Veteran. I choose veteran a lot of the time myself.

Why exactly did they Change Veteran to Normal in ME3? It's just Veteran with a different name. It makes no difference with Narrative.

Veteran is Just Right. Perfectly Balanced. It's the Perfect Mass Effect Experience (Normal in ME3 because Normal IS Veteran in ME3). Veteran (And Normal in ME3) is the right amount of Challenge and Fun in the Series. I'm not replaying My Story because I want a Challenge. I'm just, seeing My Story Again. I increased ME1's Difficulty to Veteran, because I have not played ME1 on Veteran before. It was great.

I really want to save all that "Hard" Gameplay for MP in ME3.

That’s highly AU…I’m personally not one for that (at all), but I suppose it could be interesting if your readers are aware of the possibility.

Edit: damn it, now I’m thinking about ways to fudge it in without outright retconning the canon. Nobody said the SB info is unforgeable, after all…

In fact, I wouldn't put it past Overly Attached Liara to downright fabricate that in the hopes that Shep would loose interest, and that she'd stand a better chance...

The Yahg put those dossiers together, not Liara.  She wouldn't have had time (they're available asap after the mission ends).

... I was joking ... also considering you get to read that regardless of your romantic entanglement with Miranda.

That's always been a possibility. Even a dev stated at one point that the info definitely exists in the gameworld, but isn't necessarily confirmed as accurate. So... one could work with it that way, I think.

It would be horribly OOC for Liara. She's almost obsessively in love with Shepard, but she's rather passive about it. Slandering a rival is beneath her.

I just wish Miranda had a different problem.

A lot of things have become suspect now. Simply going through the game again makes me face-palm at how much doesn't match up.

I don't have my Shepard read the dossiers anyway. His friends past is their past. I might as well not even consider it canon.

It makes a lot of things funny actually.

Some of i just looks like a joke to be honest.
