I'd say Kai Leng doesn't finish her off because he's incapable of doing so.

But the real answer is...plot points.

He really has no reason to NOT kill her. But if we look at it from another perspective I'd say he just didn't consider her important enough.

Interestingly enough, TIM only says to kill her if she gets in the way.

Why not assume that if you've done everything right he merely scuffs her up because she was too much of a hassle.

She DID prepare.

Well, it's established earlier that TIM has been trying to have her assassinated all along (avoiding Cerberus assassins and so on).

So... I guess his order at that point indicates moreso that he needs the data as a priority over everything else, as quickly as possible. That also supports Leng leaving as soon as he gets it.

No. Miranda tought Udina was a great advocate for humanity on the Council.

Miranda quit Cerberus. And Udina was helping Cerberus in the Coup, meaning he betrayed everything he was supposed to stand for. Miri would not take that well, especially since Cerberus is working for the Reapers. 

Why the hell do you believe she'd support the coup? It was an attempt to cripple the Allied forces. People of Alliance Space were there too, getting killed, and they represented Humanity as well. It was all set up by TIM, and so it was set up by the Reapers, in order to cripple the Council Forces, and the Alliance Forces. Crippling them would have helped damage the growing counter offensive and helped the Reapers win.

I don't see how Miri would do such a thing made by a man (TIM) who betrayed everything he stood for for humanity, let alone another individual who betrayed his leadership for humanity.

Krukow is just jealous because the Miranda thread is, for the most part, legitimately reached the level of pages it has, while the Ashley thread devolves into weird European dudes hitting on each other.

LoL. That's actually a good point.

I could see it being awkward to run into them... all that unwanted smalltalk and watercooler-style gossip. I hear Cerberus assassins are really chatty as a general rule

A Sovereign class Starship would be Perfect.

And Cerberus was not working for the Reapers until TIM implanted himself.

First, I don't believe anything TIM did was planned by the Reapers up until he went full retard and implanted himself.
Second, I believe Miranda would support a form of coup if it either raised awareness to the war or placed control of the Citadel Fleet in human hands even if that involved sacrificing some civillians. She'd have problems with the methods Cerberus used, not their goals.
After all, she is pragmatic and authoritarian.

With all the refugees on the Citadel, I'm not sure any more awareness needed to be raised. Just eavesdrop on their conversations and then go find their war totems.

Also, bit concerned about that Starfleet uniform. There is a red shirt underneath it all...

As for setting up the final confrontation with Henry in my story. I think I have that settled at least.

What class Starship would she have? My money is on a Sovereign class. It is the most advanced in TNG.

She is in the "Red" Uniform. A commanding Officer (Mostly Captain and XO) in TNG has the red color on the Uniform.
