@flemm: No, Control can absolutely result in an authoritarian society. But, again, the one person isn’t the cause, it’s a symptom.

Ok, agreed then. The one-person aspect is not the determining factor. But the type of control/authority exerted.

This is a Mass Effect thread. Keep it Mass Effect related. If you want to make your own thread, go somewhere else. please.

I don't think Star Trek is in danger of becoming a big focus of the thread. If a few fans want to talk about a Miranda
crossover for a little while, then I think that is entirely within the realm of what is acceptable.

Also, leave MEFan alone, please. If you feel the need to indulge yourself, I would be more than happy to serve as a target =]

I might be the only guy in this thread who hasn't seen any thing about Star Treck.

But I would like to see Miranda in a Imperial uniform from SW.

Maybe something like Juno Eclipse's outfit from The Force Unleashed:

The real page count should factor out off-topic posts, and inane arguments beyond 3 replies. Wonder how much that would affect the ranking?

Edit: also all pictures that have appeared before.

Without wanting to sound rude, your curt replies did not help matters in this case.

Of course they didn’t. That’s why it was inane!

I doubt there would be much of anything left of the BSN at all if that happened B)

This was about action, not aftermath. You assigned that meaning here.

All I said was that I didn't think that the galaxy would be a paradise had TIM taken control. You know that's true.

That's all I wanted to say.

Actually, what you originally said was that Miranda wasn’t authoritarian because she didn’t like her controlling dad, and disliked the (non-authoritarian) Council. Then, somehow, you jumped to Control from that…

But, anyway.

I think it jumped from what TIM represented. Either way, I think we've established that Miranda is not authoritarian despite some tendencies towards that...

Concepts lilitheris! Concepts!

This is character analysis not political analysis. I'm talkinig about authoritarian CONCEPTS within.

Control has authoritarian concepts.

It was nice to see the results for Miranda.

People were not satisfied with her role.

SHOCKING.

I quoted that on DA. Everyone except the ME2 LI's needs to be cut.

I don’t think that’s been established, but I don’t really think it’s worth arguing about to begin with. Headcanons can’t seem to agree on much simpler things.

But, hopefully, the definition of authoritarianism is somewhat clearer now, so that everyone can make an educated decision one way or another.

@Taboo-XX: With respect, try talking in writing. You’re making these jumps in your head only. Read back those few posts and tell me where you’re connecting them. (Or don’t actually tell, but imagine telling.)

WHAAAATTTTT?

You don't like seeing your love interest five times in a game that can be upwards of 30 hours, and two of them being through holograms?

Liara, Kaidan, Ashley, Garrus, and Tali do NOT need more time. They have enough.<_<

What the hell is Liara doing in that pic? She has more than enough content (2 comics, DLC made for her, character with more screen time, etc).

If people like the characters, they'll want to see more of them. It's natural.

Replaying some of ME3, I do quite like the 'little' stuff that you get as well. For example, Tali's talk about when she was on the Presidium all those years ago, with Fist's men after her and the racist turian clerk. Or Ashley's reminiscing about her father. Would've been nice to have even some of that for a few other characters.

I’d hope that everyone could agree that all deserve more time, even if their priority might not be equal.

Someone said it well in the Jack thread: while Liara had a lot of content, she actually had the least romance-specific content. That’s kind of a big deal for a lot of people.

Almost half of the dialogue with Liara feels likeromance content. She visited Shep's cabin moretimes than anyone.

Btw, Miranda never visited Shepard's cabin. She's the only LI who doesn't have an exclusive scene in Shep's cabin.
