Never said I liked the death scenario, just said it was well done for such a scenario. You are misinterpreting everyone's posts.

It's just a scene, MEFan. Nobody is saying you should like it (I don't really care for it in particular myself). But it's a scene with a bittersweet, romantic element.
So, people can like that, and then just have Miranda survive in their games. It's no big deal.

1 . The Tragedy
Miranda dies in Shepard's arms , Shepard is devastated. He has already lost so much , his whole family on Mindoir , but he makes a promise to finish it.Like Elysium he will get the job done by putting himself on the line . He charges the beam in London .Gets charred by Harbinger's beam. Does that stop him, no . He made a promise and he knows whats at stake . He confronts TIM, Anderson dies , Finally he meets then Catalyst . After losing yet another friend , Shepard does not have much fight left . He makes one final charge into the crucible beam and unites the Galaxy with synthesis .
2 . Or my favorite the destroy
Miranda survived Horizon , Now while talking to her on Earth she states that this this is probably goodbye . You stay positive and then Promise to Find Her . He charges the beam in London .Gets charred by Harbinger's beam. Does that stop him, no . He made a promise to find her and he knows whats at stake , He confronts TIM . Anderson tells Shepard he's proud of him . Shepard meets the Catalyst and thinks he full of s@@#. He decides he wants to live and not as some freaky reaper God . Destroy is what Anderson would have wanted , He destroys the reapers , Everyone is unsure of Shepard's fate. But Miranda looks to sky knowing Shepard keeps his promises . Shepard gasps for air, He's not finished yet.

I mean, other than the "find me" one, that was pretty excellent.
Hence all the signature banners I guess...

I don't take cathartic pleasure from seeing people die though. It's far worse seeing them wander through the world, incapable of connecting with people. They are already dead.
But said things are preferable with chiaroscuro lighting and fog.

Or is it?

It's nice to know that she feels that way. That's the strength of the scenes from a meta gaming perspective.

I don't know what movie that is, but it's ripping off Silent Hill.
And I agree, i don't like her arc at all if she's dies. What nhilistic nonsense.

I think that one turned out to be quite appropriate, yes

That's from 1982. That's Michelangelo Antonioni's Identification of a Woman.
Where he attempts to delve into the identity...of women.
Looooooot of people in his films that remind me of Miranda. And Jack for that matter.

Now for my opinion...the death scene was well done. But I'll never let Miranda die to see it.

He did it in 1964 with Monica Vitti in Red Desert

Same scenario. Same type of woman.

Why doesn't Miranda say any of that stuff on Horizon just because she doesn't die. It could still be the last time she ever sees shep, the situation isn't THAT different...

Antonioni's characters are often incapable of relating to people and wander about, sometimes meeting, sometimes doing things with others (sex) and sometimes they die, cold and alone.
It's an interesting visual metaphor to say the least.

Well, Miranda and Shepard seem to spontaneously prefer a sort of playful banter as a means of expressing affection. Given the danger they tend to be in, any time could be the last time, really. So, I guess, unless the situation is extreme, Miranda just prefers that.

Don't worry krukow.
David Bowie has the answer to your question.
She's uncertain if she likes him
But she knows she really loves him
She knows he'll be okay for a short while longer and he is. He sends her one final message before he heads out.
Some Shepards are coming back to her. Others are not. It would be awful for her to make that confession and not have him come back.
It makes it easier on the people who choose Control and Synthesis.
And I think it's entirely fair.

Stop hearing things! You can read the dossiers on the ME Wiki.

I did look at them on the WIki.
Shepard is a man regardless of your gender according to the dossiers.
A silly glitch but going through them again...
Why? Why are they there?

It's hard to believe that the same people responsible for Mordin's scene were also responsible for this horse **** fire analogy that the Catalyst presents.
But Miranda's death is avoidable and for that I'm grateful.

The game has a lot of great scenes like that though. Which makes the sterility of the endings all the more awful.

I agree, but the guy who wrote that story arc (and Rannoch) was apprently shut out of the ending so Mr. Speculation and Mr. Speculation, Jr. could finish the story off the way they saw fit, by themselves...
...or so the rumor goes, and I tend to believe it. Don't want to take this thread in that direction; I'll save that for the spoiler forum, but what could have been with Patrick Weekes as the lead. That guy knows how to finish off a story arc, obviously, and he knows what the fans want and like. I hope Weekes gets the chance to lead write for a project some day.

He said that they made it with the EC in mind and that there will be things to notice if you pay attention.
Am I going to get a new slide with a gelatinous blob if he survives followed by a slide of Miranda?
It's an interesting thing to ponder I suppose.
I just wish there was more, you know, Miranda. It would have been intresting to see her own variant of the memorial scene on Earth. Not with the Normandy obviously but still.
I suppose the Romanced Destroy one is the equivalent of that though.
