Stupid question that you'll all probably answer with psychological stuff, but when Miranda decided to leave her father, why didn't she just kill him first then? It's not like he could match her biotics? Especially if she's just going to run to cerberus. I doubt they'd have a problem with it...

I think, she would've done that if she could, but being one of the richest man in the galaxy, you tend to have a pretty tight security, so escaping was probably the most reasonable thing to try.

But possibility to kill him get even lower if we consider she escaped with Oriana.......

i think this is unsure though

But as I understand it, he had no reason to distrust her?  She's his daughter, I think she can get in to see him whenver she wants.  And it's not like she needs to smuggle a weapon in or anything, just biot shove him out a window then sneak away!

Unless there was already friction on his end, and he wouldn't allow her to visit or get near him?

Well, based on your headcanon of her childhood, she might have been afraid of him and just run.  

That would make sense to me.

Maybe, that's a possibility

But anyway, killing him and then escape would complicate things much more i think. Not only would it make her escape harder, but she would be persecuted by a lot more people.

The thing i'm unsure is whether to take into account the fact that she might have escaped with Oriana.

That would make sense to me.

She's afraid of what he can do. That's why she gets upset when her sister becomes involved.

She could have killed him but it wasn't viable at the time. It would have made her escape all the more difficult.

Funny enough, we should be on that topic. I was hoping for some thoughts on a little flashback I have been writing. I will be doing a short series of them, tied into the larger story so there is more to come.

I'm a little worried that the scenario seems too 'convenient', considering what happens on Sanctuary, and that perhaps I've portrayed Lawson Sr. as a little too 'villainous'. Perhaps I even go a touch overboard...

Also, it is a tad rough at the moment, so you will have to forgive some suspect patches (unless you want to make suggestions for improvement).

So, yeah, any feedback is welcome.

Dialogue in ME3 suggests that Miranda took Oriana at a later date. Especially if the thing about her being retconned to 16 is true.

Cool. I've added a link into the post above. I'm already starting to think of making his portrayal a bit more subtle, even removing the last 'defiant' action from Miranda as well.

EDIT: Hmm, also maybe that last word should be 'darkness' rather than 'blackness'
