Anyone got a prompt for me to work from?

How about.....something between both of them when Shepard is still on the hospital bed ?

Or are you keeping this stuff for later in your fic ?

*post-ME3, Shepard and Miranda, Dinner in the Cabin*

Shepard sighed as he looked through the mess of datapads on his desk. No less than a week after he'd been let out of the hospital had the Council called to assign him back to the Normandy. It made sense considering they really needed their two human SPECTREs right now, but it didn't make him feel much better about the situation.

He'd been so distracted by the reports that he didn't hear the cabin door open.

"You look like you could use a break," a voice said from somewhere to Shepard's left.

"I'm a bit busy right now," he answered without looking.

A quick pull of his chair made the commander drop the datapad in surprise and send a few more to the ground. The strong pull of Biotics sent him into his attacker's arms. He found himself eye to eye with Miranda. She had a bag of food from Deck Two, probably dinner, and two bottles he assumed were filled with alcohol.

"That wasn't a suggestion, Commander," she said in a slightly seductive tone.

A few moments later, Shepard found himself sitting on the couch near his bed pouring Miranda and himself a drink. He could tell from the dinner's main course that Vega had prepaired his huevos rancheros. Even after all the months he'd known Vega, Shepard hadn't had teh chance to try his dinners. Just looking at the plate in front of him made him realize how hungry he was. It must have been hours since his last meal.

Shepard quickly cut himself a piece and devoured it. He closed his eyes and let out a slight moan through his closed mouth. Usually he wasn't one for Mexican food, but this was delicious. He quickly cut himself another piece.

Miranda raised an eyebrow at how hungrily he was consuming his dinner. Though, She had only had dinner with him back when Gardner was cooking the food and that wasn't something to be eating at a quick pace.

Those were the days though. Everyone would be sitting on Deck Two talking about the days missions and talking together. Jack and Wrex would be discussing the latest football game. Mordin and Doctor Chakwas often talked about medical procedues and issues, though they usually made sure the topic wouldn't reuin dinner for anyone who overheard; usually. It seemed Tali and Kasumi had also become friends. In a really odd way, it was a very odd family on the ship.

Miranda took a bite of the rancheros and adimently agreed with Shepard's reaction; they were really good. Maybe a bit more spicy than she was used to, but the flavors melded well.

Only half way through her own dinner, she looked over to find Shepard finished with his. He sat their watching her as he took a sip from his drink. A red splotch of chile was on his cheek. The small mark on his face gave Miranda an idea.

Shepard saw her eyes gain a different look; one of a seductive nature.

Miranda put her plate down and took a quick drink before moving next to Shepard. Neither of them said a word; their eyes did the talking. She leaned in close and, as slowly as she could licked the small ammount of chille from he face. Pulling herself up, the two kissed.

The kiss ended. "Are we moving stright to desert, Miss Lawson?" he asked in a rougher voice than usual.

"I think I know what's on the menu, Commander," she replied.

Stupid question that you'll all probably answer with psychological stuff, but when Miranda decided to leave her father, why didn't she just kill him first then? It's not like he could match her biotics? Especially if she's just going to run to cerberus. I doubt they'd have a problem with it...

That this question is even asked is all the proof you should need that Lawson's portrayal was an utter failure.

Why not kill that snivelling weakling indeed.

Miranda seems to struggle with confronting her father directly. She is fine with facing the nameless commandos he hires, but when he uses a name; a face she knows, She gets distracted and emotionally attached.

I have no doubt that she would freeze up if Henry were to have shown up in her LM.

I agree with that.

Regarding her escape specifically, one can imagine that Henry wasn't the primary obstacle. But rather security guards/measures, etc. As one of the wealthiest individuals in the galaxy, he could have an unlimited amount of that. Getting to Henry might have been impractical or impossible at that time. Same thing when Miranda went back to free Orianna. In a sense, Miranda's infiltration of Sanctuary is probably reminiscent of that prior scenario, though at a different location.

And the other way around. Miranda would be breaking in instead of out.

Yeah. Three different occasions altogether. The initial escape, going back for Orianna. And finally Sanctuary.

Well, ME2 dialogue is a little ambiguous, but it was really always implied that there were two different events. At least that is the view that always made the most sense, I think. ME3 confirms this. So, any inconsistencies in age aside, that seems to be what occured.

Based on ME2, certainly. ME3 dialogue is less ambiguous, but, as you say, other things maybe don't add up. So...
