And why would Miri be mad of a certain choice? Surely she would've agreed with you on whatever decision you make.

Oh boy...

Wut... If you don't want to lose her, then you make a decision based on that. You don't change a character to fit your needs, that's just total horse poop. If you don't want to make that decision, then you find yourself another LI, but don't come here and turn Miri into some obedient housewife. That's just wrong on so many levels.

Anyway, I am off to sleep.

I didn't say she was racist. But she's patriotic I guess you would say. She believes all that stuff she says about the advancement and preservation of humanity. It's not a fig leaf.

No. Miranda would definitely be vocal about your decision. And if she was angry at you, she would express it. I'd hate to see her reduced to a drone who agrees with everything Shepard does, even if he kills thousands of humans. And she is pro-human. Not xenophobic, but pro-human.

It seems like some people want everything handed to them on a silver platter. I want conflicts because they make the story more interesting. I want to work for a happy ending.

Let me ask you something: why would you want a LI who is at odds with your values?

Don't think anyone is suggesting she's xenophbic & yes she is happy working with aliens. I just think it is pretty explicit that her loyalty is to humanity as a species and therefore if Shep abandoned humanity to be wiped out i'd want her to be not just stand at his side and take it. Same with Tali, if i help the geth wipe her race from existence i don't want her to still hero worship him.

Just out of curiosity, and in the interest of getting all the answers more or less in one go, who here will be refraining from purchasing Mass Effect 3 if Miranda does not have substantial content featured?

I'm not entirely sure she's that hardcore pro-human.

Remember, she has an asari contact that she trusts with Oriana's life. And I'm pretty sure she's careful with who she trusts with that responsibility.

Not "hardcore pro-human", no, but "human preferential, everything else being equal". I think she would have a problem if Shepard decided to delay saving Earth in favor of an alien homeworld, if that would cost a billion human lives or so.

I do like that fact she can change, but not because of Shepard. Besides, isn't the opposite true? We change our Shepard's for her too.

Character development is, as a rule, a good thing.... character shaping by almighty Marty Stu-protagonists, not so much.

@jtav NEVER ask me a question like that again! I love Miri. No one else.

Like I said: I-do-NOT-want-another-LI!

Dammit! I don't want her to be a drone ok? I'm sorry for even mentioning something like that. Damn!

I'd do anything Miri wants me to do, if she wants me to jump off a bridge, I'd do it.
I'm just concerned about the consequences for not saving the alien colony. What if it ends up like the trial because of you sacrificing many Batarians Lives:unsure:?

I like it too.
And yes, my Shepard change during ME2 because of her.

That's the interesting part. That's why the system is called "choices and consequences" not just "choices". That's what Mass Effect is about. Your impact on the universe. How fun would the game be if there wasn't any consequences at all? Not really fun, huh?

Ok...ok. I'm sorry ok. Miri is not a drone. If she wants me to save the human colony, it will probably be for a good reason.

I'd do anything/everything for Miri no matter what.

But tell me, what would you do?

Okay, I sorta agree. She's like Ashley in this respect imo. Not racist but pro-human. Your Shep could be even more xenophobic frankly if you wanted to. Or xeno not the right word really. Just pro-human, putting humans ahead of aliens. And ppl change, that's the great thing about being one way and opening your eyes more. She didn't "grow" as much as I'd have liked in ME2 but with the right dialogue she does. But this was always a problem ppl had with Ashley.

Well ignoring the part where you jump off a bridge because it's creepy, why do you love Miranda so? I can't think of any reason you love her other than her looks, obviously you don't agree with or even share her views which makes me wonder if she's even suitable to be your favored LI.

Miranda is not xenophobic. She believes that humans can learn a lot from other races.

I love her not just because of her looks. But also because of intelligence, competence, strength, etc..

I love everything about Miri.

And did you not just see me come to my senses?

Sticking up for MEfan for a sec, I like Miranda despite not sharing her views. Spies are like catnip for me, and I love prickly introverts.

I love everything about Miri, not only her looks. There's more to it.
She was my first LI ever. And she will always be my one and only in Mass Effect, and possibly every other BioWare game.

I'm just afraid of loosing her to ways in ME3 that can possibly be unavoidable, like her death.:crying:

Which are all traits that complement her personality, I confess you might like some character's traits without sharing their views but that'll always put a road block between the two of you, i.e: the situation I mentioned earlier, and you and anyone in your position should expect that and be ready to deal with it... just my 2 cents.

That means you like the character because of the stereotype it portrays, if someone else filled Miranda's spot for that type of character you'd have liked them all the same right? what I'm asking is what's the special thing about Miri that made you or anyone else for that matter like her so and would make you differentiate her from any other character who would fill the same stereotype?
