What do you want to know? I'd say this scene has emotional impact. It is really very good and I don't think you need to change anything. What you need to tell after this, though, is how Miranda manages to not be broken by her father.

Oh, thank you very much. That's encouraging to hear, especially from yourself. :)

I was concerned that the scenario might be a little too 'convenient', considering what happens on Sanctuary. Plus, I think Henry might be a little too villainous or adversarial and, from lilli's feedback, the masked soldier a touch too soft.
Instead, I might have Miranda miss her opportunity to direct her rage at him, which is why she goes 'overboard' on Sanctuary (if I'm running with the obvious, direct parallel idea).

Convenient or not, that doesn't matter if it's a good and convincing scene and I expected that you'd give her the opportunity to direct her rage at him. Henry is ok. This kind of "learning process" is exactly what I'd expect from someone like him. Perhaps you recall that in my fanfic, he set Miranda up for attempted rape in order to trigger her biotics. You're not the most extreme....

I like the idea of her missing her chance, with Sanctuary being vengeance.

Speaking of fanfic: Chapter two of my story where Miranda goes undercover to see Shep. Reviews welcome.

I do! And it was very well-done. Though, in mine, I think I have made Lawson Sr. too outwardly hostile, if not as extreme.

Thanks to those who have shown interest! The second draft should be incoming very shortly.

I wanted to drop it.

I wanted one thing from lilitheris and it hasn't changed since yesterday. I'm still waiting for it.

Man I just love this cosplay. Not only is it my favorite Miranda suit but the girl actually looks the part even if she doesn't look like Yvonne. I just wish we had ME textile materials so the suit wouldn't bunch up around the arms. Then again I'm into enough superheros to know those suits are never realistic.

You jumped in all by yourself.

Still haven‘t told me what it is. Still refusing to actually define your argument (or is it a question now?)

Sad, transparent evasion.

I still haven't figured out where she keeps her shield generator.

The suit doesn't really give me much to work with...

ME universe has shield generators in the same size of omni-tools and headsets... :wizard:

Hammerspace. It's pretty much a given in a lot of visual sci-fi and in every game.

It’s the disc-shaped thing between the shoulderblades.

Because it will have relevance in what I'm planning, I think I'm going to put it in that little circle 'thing' just below her shoulder blades. As shown here.

Unless I hear a better suggestion.

EDIT: Damn, lilli 'ed me. Great minds...

I went looking for a good image thereof but, you know, there is a shocking dearth of rear views of Miranda.

Please don't respond to this. I will give you one final answer and it would then be best to then drop it.

I wanted one thing from you yesterday.  You didn't answer it then and you haven't now. It involved time. I no longer care.

I have also given you my answer for today. Multiple times.  Each opinion varies based upon Who She Is to each person. Within that concept there is a root issue that causes the argument we're having now. I'm intentionally not being specific about it as I fear the outcome of it being mentioned. Neither side will ever agree on it.

That's why it's best to drop it.

You‘re contradicting yourself, not that that’s surprising. I just wonder if you understand it?

Each opinion varies based upon Who She Is to each person. Within that concept there is a root issue that causes the argument we're having now.

You still haven’t explained what that ‘root cause’ is.

Like I said, at the very beginning of this topic, the very first thing I said, in fact: each person’s internal world will color how they perceive the situation. That’s a truism.

That, however, does not change the facts of the case, such as they are. They can be debated. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but not their own facts.

I do agree to drop this. You simply do not have a lucid enough an argument to actually do anything with, and once again you seem to have driven yourself in some weird place you can’t get out of. I’d like to help, but I can’t, apparently.

I’ll repeat my life advice: learn how to think about arguments so that you can coherently explain them to others. It’ll make your existence much more enjoyable in the long run.

That's what I thought it

I'm not sure about much of anything else with that suit.

I'd like to know what it's made of. If only to satisfy my need to figure out how stretchable it is. It certainly doesn't look that way.

And then there's the issue with sweat...

If I told you what the root cause was it wouldn't go over well. You've addressed it in the past.

You cut posts and cherry pick. That makes it very difficult to debate with you. You do not address all points, only the ones convenient to you. I was not the only one who told you this yesterday.

Do not accuse me of not providing a coherent argument when you can't continue one yourself without changing it to suit your needs. You chop things out and then ask me to answer YOUR point. Then you accuse me of changing topics. If you didn't cherry pick every time you post, we could stay level.

Don't answer this either. Let it go. We're both at fault here.

The suit is probably fairly flexible; possibly as much so as lycra.

It will consist of at least 3 layers, all synthetic, and the top one resembles a plastic. Add a nano- qualifier for extra flair.?

Temperature regulation and heat wicking is simple enough with a dash of fashion space magic.

I’d say the suit is not protective beyond, say, knives. Relatively strong, some protective weave, sure. Probably less than 5 mm thick.

The hexagonal grid pattern is a stylized shield management grid (the black variant, for example, hides it underneath a top layer).

I can't do it any other way. Everytime I post something she takes it as dead serious.

If I don't specify what's going on to her satisfaction she gets angry.

I'm asking her to let it go.

Uh-huh.

You cut posts and cherry pick.

Absolutely.

That makes it very difficult to debate with you.

It does, yes, if you do not know how to proceed in those cases.

You do not address all points, only the ones convenient to you.

I cut out parts that need not be addressed. This could be because I agree with that part, or simply find it irrelevant or uninteresting.

If you feel that an important point is missed in this manner, then you should bring it up again (in specific terms, not “that thing I said that I will not actually identify now”).

Look! I’m going to chop off the end, because I’m not addressing it! Ut-oh.

Edit: I stopped taking you seriously a long time ago. Not ha-ha funny not seriously, just…not seriously.
