Here on BSN © 2002, worst of both worlds: have to download the entire image, but it only displays limited to the stupid 540x540px :pinched:

Gorgeous picture, and the small version definitely doesn’t do it justice.

But the possible message being sent is still very troubling.

Speculation on the message sent is just that. And unlike others in this thread I am actively opposed to speculating on what the writers wanted. I feel it does nothing but provoke senseless arguments which can't be resolved or passive-agressive negativity if unchecked.

Now what message is being recieved however... is indeed troubling.

I hate to post a bad response in a Character Appreciation thread, but I'm sorry I couldn't lurk on this one.

If you oppose speculating on what a writer could've said, you must stay away from everything that wasn't written by James Cameron then. Interpretation is very important to enjoy a compelling storytelling work.

...and your signature makes fun of Buzz Aldrin. That makes me sick.

Sorry for the harsh comment, anyway, Mirimancers. Here's a picture for forgiveness!

(Yes, I do have a thing for Miranda in a battle armor. It's pretty clear at this point I suppose)

Calm down Jonata, making fun of space grandpa is making fun of a character, not it's VA. Just because Miri gave everyone scale itch doesn't mean Yvonne has scale itch :)

....I'm kidding, obviously Kelly gave everyone scale itch, but I don't know her VA

CUTEST PIC EVER!!

Yeah totally the same thing.<_<

George Clooney did Batman and Robin. Great people are not exempt from ****-ups. And ME3's ending makes Batman and Robin look good.

The character you call "Space Grandpa" is a tribute to Buzz Aldrin. That part was an attached easter egg/ epilogue, a tribute to a great man and has nothing to do with the actual endings (which some people actually liked so stating that they makes "Batman & Robin look good" like it is a fact is nonsense). Buzz needs more respect.

What a writer could've said and what a writer wanted to say are both parts of a process with which the public respondto a storytelling piece. It is not bad if a piece have more speculations behind than another one, because it stimulates more interpretation, it makes the public actually think about it and that's a good thing.

EDIT: anyway, I don't want to start an argument. Everyone is entitled to his opinion, let's end it here. And that pic is really one of the BEST THINGS EVER about ME3.

Some people liked Batman & Robin too but we don't invite them to parties anymore. And you should be happy for Space Grandpa. His senility allows us to dismiss this bull**** as ill-remembered fairy tale with little basis in fact while also allowing Bioware to continue spoon-feeding it to people as artistic. He does indeed deserve more respect for seamlessly bridging reason and insanity.

By the way:

Official released pic of Space Grandpa at home.:D

It is not bad if a piece have more speculations behind than another one, because it stimulates more interpretation, it makes the public actually think about it and that's a good thing.

What a writer could've said boils down to what ifs and is about as useful as you'd expect (i.e not very). What a writer wanted to say, you'll never know unless he flat out tells you. Say, since you're so into "great men", here's another one for you: Tolkien. Know what he said on the matter of interpreting his works? "STFU and enjoy the story. Stop trying to dowse meaning from every single ****ing thing." (paraphrased).

Or you know, you can buy Casey's premium grade Crap-in-a-Can ™- More speculation for everyone!

Edit: Like it's been mentioned above, you really should differentiate between a character and their voice actor. Buzz Aldrin=/= Space Grandpa and vice versa. And yes, we probably should drop this as it is off-topic.

Does anyone else think the slides are a refutation of everything implied by the breakup death? Shepard is dead, but Miranda not only doesn't fall apart, she thrives. In fact, if she survives, all her slides are positive.

Well, ths situation is quite different.

If you break up with her, everything you said to make her feel more than just an object used by Cerberus is destroyed. She must feel that you kinda used her and goes back to believing she is nothing but an asset that can be used and discarded and it will negate all the "you are more than just an engineered thing, you are a person"
( i still think that her dying because of the break up is stupid)

Now if Shep died aftre the end, she will be heartbroken, sure, but she will continu to move on in her life keeping all the things you said to her and work for the galaxy. She will keep what you gave her, a sence of humanity

I felt the first few seasons were good but quality declined badly thereafter.

Not really. It’s not terrible, but if you want funny agent dynamism, “Warehouse 13” is a better bet. No Yvonne, though.

I think that cuddle image is from whenever it was that I last saw it.

I disliked it. Too silly, Strahovski was merely average, and I didn't like Chuck himself that much.

Chuck was great. It has a great mix of action, comedy, drama, spy stuff etc. While there are no doubt other shows or movies that have done each aspect better, the combination of the elements in Chuck are thoroughly enjoyable. Season 5 starts to lose it though.
But yes I would definitely recommend it. I started watching for Yvonne and stayed for everything.

Don't listen to jtav and Ieldra, Sarah isn't a cold-blooded enough killer for them

It's good, great in many episodes. My fav. of the last 10 years.

The mindlessness is part of it's appeal. I already have to think very hard in my day to day job (I guarantee harder than any of you guys), and it's a fun, campy, over the top action, with its moments of seriousness and conflict.

This is from season 3, the episode where Chuck and Sarah finally express their feelings for each other and officially get together.

The show did start to decline in quality as it went on, with season 5 being, plot-wise, pretty bad (The ending to Chuck caused its own little stir amongst us Chucksters), but it was always exceptionally well acted, with Yvonne showing some incredible chemistry with Zach Levi. Easily my favorite tv couple.

Chuck was at its best from about the middle of Season one towards the end of Season three, imo.
