While jtav's ideas do appear to be the Aperture Science of ME fanfic, word on the street is Thane threads are the most depressing. Admittedly they have more to be unhappy about.

And I don't even consider this depressing, but the triumph of love and science.

Well, and it's your headcanon/fic, so I don't want to appear critical of it.  If that's the theme you're going for, I can see it working (and I do like Miri stealing Shep's line).

Just struck me as a bit needlessly sad on the face of it.  Then again, my headcanon has shep basically laughing off his injuries in a couple of days, so maybe I'm just the type that draws his fics in crayonImage IPB

@CC Thanemancers aren't depressed, just angry.  Very, very ANGRY.  Their headcanon's are all happy actually because they ignore ME3 completely...

Absolutely hate him. <_<

Now, now, EVERBODY hates Daniel Shaw.

He tried to be Bryce Larkin and failed. Worse, he got between Chuck and Sarah

Chuck and Sarah may have been the cutest and best couple (they were perfect for each other)

But Bryce and Sarah were the HOTTEST couple. Damned if you didn't find 2 more attractive people.
They had potential too though.

Both had a good sendoff episodes though.

Chuck vs the Santa Suit was my favorite episode of the last season.

It's difficult to look at.This is supposed to be serious right?

It's zany and mindless a lot. There are times when you take it seriously, and times where you just sit back and enjoy the ride. I like the mindlessness of it. It appeals to me. But it's not a sitcom. It's too dark to be a sitcom, and too light-hearted to be a complete action or drama.

It never tried to be anything it wasn't, but at the same time, it tried to be everything. Does that make any sense?
It didn't appeal to a lot of people, but for the people that liked it, it was HUGE. Chuck fans are some of the most dedicated. The appeals of the fans alone saved the show from cancellation 3 times.

If you're looking for art or some kind of big statement or whatever, keep moving. Same goes for plot; the first season was pretty much stand alone episodes, and as the series progressed, more overarching arcs were made. The plots were campy and far-fetched.

If you want to see a cool underdog story about how some nobody nice guy computer nerd manages to catch the perfect woman, this is perfect for it. From a sexual tension, almost kiss, tv trope for that kind of stuff standpoint, the show has it in spades.

It was mainly a spy-fiction comedy/drama. It had some serious moments where people were killed gruesomely, or really emotional moments, some ranging from euphoria to crippling loss for the characters.

It was also incredibly well acted. I understand this is rather subjective. There's no shakespearean awards that will be one. At the same time, for someone invested in the show, the emotional moments (both highs and lows) were incredibly... powerful, to me at least, and I won't lie, there were some tearjerker scenes, and some scenes where you were on the edge of your seat, like the episode clip I posted earlier. And another thing to note is how much fun the cast had. They all loved it it, and they all got on incredibly well. These were actors who didn't really know each other and came out as best friends. You can tell they weren't acting for money or fame or whatever, they genuinely loved and had fun acting on the show, even when the episodes were mind-numbingly bad. It was like ME2; I watched the show for the characters (Yvonne especially). And for me, I guess I can tell when actors are enjoying themselves while performing. And that makes it infinitely more watchable to me than something that cold be considered a masterpiece but the actors seem tense.

I don't need tense. I get enough of it in life. I want fun. It's what makes Chuck such a great show for me.

Note: I'm not trying to get you to watch it (well maybe a little =]) But I'm explaining why I loved the show.

Miranda Lawson and Jayne Cobb are in it.  Hence, this is imperical fact.

So, I got to Horizon on ME2 last night and went through with really low level Kasumi and Miranda.

Impressivly, We didn't die once. And it was easy. Y U NO MAKE SENSE?!

Level 30 Squad = "GAH! THIS MISSION KILLS ME!"

Level 9 Squad = "Wow. This is easy!"

???

Miranda is really what Sarah would have become if she never met Chuck (almost the same personality, Incredibly protective towards her loved one, has an adoptive baby sister that draws more than a coincidental number of parallels with Oriana, has daddy issues {although she actually loves her father}, etc.) and John Casey was a spoof of Jayne Cobb (same initials, number of letters in the name, overall personality)

You get used to where enemies appear. Some missions in ME2, I can tell you exactly where an enemy is going to spawn, and what path he will probably take.

What difficulty was it?

Also maybe it was because the strenght of the enemies is calibrated via your level.

Something my beta and I were debating:

Would you consider it needlessly cruel if Destroy!Shep's injuries left a physical relationship impossible if they used nervestims and the virtual world uploading we see in CDN and ME3 to make up the difference?

I'd find it bizarre given Shep can die and come back healthy as an ox.

Which is why crippling injuries from this point on are largely redundant.

I was used to them before and I used to die all the time to those two Scions and the what-you-macall-it at the end, but I didn't die period.

As we've said many times before. Miranda brought a man back from death. Barring making a living person out of cardboard and duct tape (which she could probably do), there is nothing she can't do to heal Shepard. He will completely recover 8 ways to sunday because of her intervention.

Unless you break up with her.

Then she gets all petty and dies...

Not sure I'd blame Walters completely.

As for Shep's injuries: Lazarus took four billion credits, a team of experts and a top of the line medical facility. None of which Miranda has. It's entirely possible he may have to deal with impaired function in some respects. Abd, really, it's more romantic for her to be willing to adapt to his injuries. "I love you. I want you. Even though it's hard."

Not just Lazarus. Anything short of terminal illness or death would be dealt with relatively easily, what between nanites and cloned organs.

Pretty sure the galaxy has that.

The really greatful galaxy that Shepard just saved.

Yeah, they gotta rebuild, but I'm pretty sure every species can chip in to cover that cost...
