Yes, but I
know some people don't understand why I would do that.In fact, it's not
about purchasing the game or not, it's about playing to the game or not.
I'm not going to play ME3 if I know I'm not going to enjoy it. I really
like the Mass Effect franchise, but Miranda is really an important
character for me and I can't imagine the final act of my Shepard story
without her.
I have pre ordered SWTOR collector edition last week,
and I'm just waiting for potential good news about Miranda to do the
same with ME3.

Me too, for exactly the same reasons.

Ehh I find Miranda important and I think she has awesome character potential that BioWare should cash in on. If Miranda is reduced to some obscure cameo, or reduced to something embarrassing like Cerberus idiot ball indoctrinated villain, or owned by Kai Leng to introduce him as a "bad dude". I would be bitter as hell, and would enjoy the game less. However it wouldn't ruin the series for me. I would just kill her in the Suicide Mission, so I can "save" her character, and play ME3 without her. Since I find the above terrible character arcs and horrible endings for her character.

Killing Miranda is not a solution for me. I prefer to imagine a better story for Miranda and Shepard after ME2. That's why I would not play to ME3, in that case.

Same here. Add any scenario where we don't see any sign of "Miranda the badass operative", "Miranda the pragmatist" or "Miranda the scientist", where she's significantly Paragonized, or where she wants nothing more than to be ordinary.  *shudder*. Someone has asked about the worst-case scenarios. Here are they.

Seven months to go. The wait will be painful. So many things that can go wrong, and so many things that could go right...

@Yannkee:
No, it's not a good solution. I would imagine a different timeline as well, but as least I wouldn't have to see the dreadful stuff in the game.

I actually see those worst case scenarios playing out in me3. seeing as how she resigned from cerberus at the end and how she wanted a normal life for oriana, leads me to believe that she secretly wanted that all along or something. idk I wouldnt mind it to much though, a little cheesy but if written well enough it can at least give me a case of the warm fuzzys lol.

I'll believe it when it comes from Bioware. We know Miranda is in ME3 - we just don't know what role she plays and how sizeable that role is.

Hmm....this doesn't seem like a reliable source. But if it's legit, then the core team might consist of Liara, Ashley/Kaidan, Garrus, Tali, Legion, Vega, Miranda and someone whose name was lost in translation. Eight all in all - seems plausible.

But I believe it when we have confirmation from Bioware.

To be honest, I think the Miranda fans are demanding too much at the moment. We should be happy that she is atleast in Mass Effect 3.

And I'm sure Bioware won't tell us other things about her role since they all keep saying that it will spoil things.

Just wait till the game comes out and play it.

No one has enough patience on these forums to do that.

I'm not putting anything in the OP unless we get more reputable confirmation. Fair?

I don't think that we are. Miranda has as much "right" to be on the core team as those already confirmed to be on it (should Garrus and Tali be - technically they still aren't) - Ashley/Kaidan are there as lead characters from ME1, Liara as the Shadow Broker, Garrus for popularity and Tali for story potential and popularity. Miranda should be there as lead character of ME2 and for her story potential regarding the Cerberus connection. Legion is an oddity, but if it were part of the core team I'd be absolutely delighted. Miranda and Legion are two of my favorite three characters in ME2 (the third one is Mordin).

I'd be delighted with that squad. Something seems off about that list, but maybe it's just pessimism talking.

Think what you want Ieldra, but in the end Bioware decides if the fans are too demanding.

Its their character, their story their game.

Fair.

Though I'm kinda too exited for Legion.

Though I am for Miranda too.
This better be legit or... who am I kidding, I'll just cry if it's not legit.

Yeah, confirmed by a Russian news sites... We all know how reliable those are.

And Miranda better be in the core squad. She is definitely more important than most other characters. Garrus is a nobody and a complete failure and Tali has no authority in the Migrant fleet, as seen during her trial.

I don't think this info is legit, i mean why would the Russian press get such data and not IGN or Eurogamer

I'm not saying that she doesn't deserve it. I also want her to be on the core squad.

I'm just saying that fans can be too demanding sometimes which can have negative consequenses.

With exception of her connection to Cerberus, she's nothing more important then Garrus and Tali.

Also I'm pretty sure Illusive Man will close all of her contacts to Cerberus in ME3. So it's a big maybe.

Only squadmates I can see that can help are Mordin and Legion.

Also Tali can help, depending on choices in ME2 and Kasumi also can effect with her greybox.
Not sure will it help, but will effect. A lot.

It won't have negative consequences. I'll guarantee you her role has been planned for some time.

And by "connection to Cerberus" we mean the fact that she was once/is a high-ranking officer. If anybody has useful inel on them, it would be her.

Right, and you're throwing this here at the Miranda fans? from my experience being too demanding made two supporting characters (with one of them having almost no story potential) become permanent figures in 3 straight games just because their fan base is big and by extension their demand, so...

And that website is not legit anyway... the full squad will never be revealed until the last phases of marketing, and maybe not even then.

Yeah and I know that BW will ignore wishlists when they are too demanding.

If you're referring to jtav's wishlist (which was agreed upon by most fans here) then I'd strongly recommend that you take an actual look at it instead of seeing how big it is and concluding that it is too demanding... most of these demands are similar in that their purpose is to keep Miranda in character, and if Bioware is to include Miri in ME3 to a certain extent most of these demands would be fulfilled automatically.

We're not the ones who demanded romance with a masked alien, no wonder we've not seen a single sapient ovoviviparous race so far, or the fans will demand romance with them as well, which would be creepy.

Kinky.. I laik. <_<

But yeah, it's not too demanding. If it's too much to ask, to have her in game, the way she was before, then I have nothing to say tbh. I think the only thing that might be ''too much'' is the amount of screentime some people like her to have, myself included. Still I hold onto it. I want to go through the story with characters I enjoy and have learned to love and care for. Not with those that I can't stand.
